Getting this comment a lot so I’ll copy and paste my first response here:
Totally understand why you’d come at me. But please, know this: three months ago I posted the mood board for this stairway on our UA-cam community page, which you can view and see the date. Lone fox posted his entry way make over one month ago. I’m absolutely inspired by his content but I assure you I didn’t steal his ideas nor purposely copy him. There’s room for all of us here, guys. Please be kind. I’ve been working and filming this entry way makeover since October. I truly didn’t steal or copy lone fox, and am asking you to simply consider that I might have similar taste and ideas as someone else. If I had done this project using lone fox as a tutorial etc, I would have absolutely given him credit. But the video was well underway before Drew launched his entryway video. Again, please consider being kinder and less accusatory before you know facts? I appreciate your comments, and if ever I DID copy someone blatantly, I would hope someone would call me out on it as you’ve done so I could rectify and give credit where it’s due. I’m a human being and appreciate feedback that allows me to grow and evolve and change.

Just out of curiosity, what is every one thinking was Drew’s idea in the first run? Remodeling a stair way? Runners on stairs? I truly don’t even know what to address besides style preferences that are similar. He didn’t invent runners on stairs (I actually found my runner inspiration when I went down a Pinterest staircase rabbit hole!) He didn’t invent pictures on a wall (mine are on a ledge that’s literally built into the house.) he didn’t invent redoing a floor (his is painted and mine is peel and stick tile.) and he didn’t invent painting a cabinet (mine is green and his is black.) I’m legit stumped why people are coming at me about this when I filmed it before he uploaded his entryway and besides style similarities, they aren’t the same. What original idea was his first that I need to shout out? Genuinely asking. Somebody help 😂😫
@@MadeBetterHome You don't need to shout out Drew or give him any credit! I'm a huge fan of his. I LOVE his channel and content. He along with many others has had this same drama in his comments. I'm over this idea that something on youtube is an original!! Everybody draws inspiration from somewhere! Not to mention everything old is new again. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery! However you want to look at it. DIY Danie recently did an entry way makeover and at the beginning she says I didn't copy Drew but yes our floors are similar he used peel and stick she stenciled.Lets face the facts here if your using a mass produced item in a makeover such as a stencil, peel and stick tiles or anything from a $ store or IKEA, YOUR PROBABLY NOT THE FIRST OR THE LAST!! The reason I love the DIY community on here so much is the lack of drama! Not to mention to see how 5 people can start with the same 5 items and create totally different looks. Or people at home take the look and try to recreate the look dead on. Either way its ridiculous to think that Drew is the first person to use this runner on a stairway. I actually have the exact pin saved that you are referring to. I just looked at it last night because my sister is getting ready to do her stairs. It's a pretty popular pin. I just commented on another video to let people know if they were interested in a similar look as the one in the video that they could go to another youtubers channel that did a dupe of an urban outfitters shelf as well. They just did it using completely different materials and didn't build the shelf. I immediately added to my comment that in no way was I implying that the person copied the other person. I just got love for all the DIYers and love decor with all my heart! ❤❤ So don't let this stress you! Sorry this ran long but I have strong feelings about how out of control this is getting in so many comment sections.
I know this video is old but I am absolutely SHOCKED at anyone saying that this was Lone Fox’s (Drew’s) idea. There are countless videos of shoe organization and runners going up a staircase. I actually came to comment that this is the best one I’ve seen so far. Majority of the videos just say “Make it even and staple gun it in and it’s done!” Where you actually had the real tips and tricks on how to do it. Not only that, but the herringbone peel and stick tile was so original and creative. Absolutely shocked at the weird amount of criticism this video got when it’s the most informative and original one I’ve seen.
OMG, yes! Totally would love and appreciate a video on the sprayer. Looking to buy a furniture/cabinet sprayer and you ladies do great work! Looking forward to the sprayer tutorial! God bless ladies!

Absolutely gorgeous! Even though it was a "small" project abiut how many man hours did it take to complete a project like this?
I had to do a TON of work on the stairway before I even started the fun decor part, so honestly it took a LONG darn time. So much sanding, painting, picking out staples, screws, patching holes, etc. It was in rough shape. But the actual runner, about 2-3 hours and the cabinet painting about an hour (minus dry time etc.)

Love the legs added to the cabinet. Did you secure the pictures on the ledge to the wall at all? My concern would be someone might bump them with a bag or suitcase while going in or out of the doors. Just a thought.

Beautiful!!! Id love to do the rug on my stairs as well. I have little kids, i am not sure if its a good idea in case they fell, it will be softer than wood, or it is gonna be a bad idea because they might fall because of the runner ? Any insight please ?

I have almost exactly same narrow stair case just the ground entrance door is opposite the stairs rather on the side. It’s a plus for you coz you have added that amazing shoe shelf there. Luv it babes.

What spray gun do you use??
What is the name of the tool that you used in place of a staple gun? And the name of the carpet tool/smusher? I've replaced the carpet on stairs, but I was never able to make it as tight as you did.
I need those gold legs for my TV stand!
