I can watch Nikolai day and night... he has such beautiful presence on the stage and is such a flawless dancer with wonderful expression of feelings and tenderness... but no surprise here, he was interested in drama before he studied ballet. And beside being a ballet dancer he is also a lawyer specializing in employment law. Very educated and intelligent person.
I have been watching all of the graduation shows he produces and choreographs (some of them) for his students at Vaganova Academy where he is a rector and they are perfection. These young people are so lucky to have him for a teacher and rector. He loves them and they love him back even though he is a tough teacher. Wonderful in everything he does.
