- Some characters are just straight up broken in Jump Force, that's common knowledge by now. But seeing this assist gimmick in every ranked match is just breaking the game for me.

Ryo's assist is broken bc it checks for if the assist character is on the field, Ryo leaves the screen b4 the missiles hit so the game treats the missiles as non assist projectiles
What makes Jump force frustrating is that the game is fun but it’s so broken

Yeah man, I tried but it's legit just impossible to do so :/ not just the ryo saiba cheese but the overall mechanic of the game allows moves to be spammable af and there's a shit ton of invincibility on moves that make it real difficult to attack. Really annoying tbh

Sadly, spamming is common on many rpg like fighting games, due to the mechanics of the game. It’s already bad enough that jump forces mechanics are relatively lazy and the fight for the most part consist you pressuring nonstop into a guard break or you blocking and waiting for a slight break in the combo to attack.
Spam is gonna happen is my point.
I don’t play them much, but games like mortal kombat, and fighterz are less spammable I think

Maybe Ryo's assist has so little blockstun that the guard break actually commences normally since the opponent is no longer in blockstun. Or you know... they messed up again...

@@bwebbuva9785 Oh shit really? Huh... that's a strange way to do things. Why couldn't they just use blockstun frames like in so many other fighting games. It would solve so many problems.
I think the reason this works is because Ryo isn't out when the missiles hit. it depends on whether this also works with Assists like Kakashi who fire a projectile and disappear. Also, depending on the character, you can go for a grab an be invincible as the rockets hit.

Luffy is cheese too.. his skill like zoro but what's worse he tracks u down and runs toward you as he goes through ur skill guard and dodging.. you end up the end of the map all he need just to charge 2 bar and have an assist distracting you

after more than 150 ranked an beeing in high B rank I swear I did the "spin of frendship" every damn time and never someone spinned back ever. But in unranked this happens nearly every time lol - these guys are getting it too serious in ranked. But God damn the cheese is real, either Ryo, Ichigo or Aizen cheese or just all of them in one team, I'm getting tired.

piccolo's nothing really broken, he just extends combos, tbh most opponents I've not even do combos so they have no use of piccolo lol
Ill be honest, until this game I never knew some people used the 'spin' for friendship. Where I'm from 'Storm 4' someone with this cheesy line up (Zoro/Ryo/Rukia = Minato/Chogi/Might Guy) would spin you before during and after lame cheesing you out, there was no friendship. I came into this game like oh you're spinning? 😑 Game Face activated!! 😤
I can't tell you how many times I've hit with Lightning palm, special Beam cannon, lightning palm, ulti. And even without awakening that's like 50%. And if you block special beam cannon it keeps you stuck in block for so long

Also sometimes after a stamina break, the opponent is literally able to press a button before you. It's like they have less recovery frames than you after a stamina break and are able to attack or move before you. I cant be the only one running into that problem

I know how you feel. In every pvp game I play, I always play against the meta so when I beat people they can’t say it’s only cause I used whomever. (Ex:Destiny2 in graviton Lance era) it sicks though when somebody you like is used maliciously like this though
It’s actually kinda sad, I really enjoyed this game for what it was when it first came out. But now everyone I play ranked with (currently B4) they always use these characters that are shown in this video and just spam. I know how to make my way around it but once your caught without any stamina, you’re screwed at that point.

Dude I main Deku too, he's considered low tier but I've pulled some 80%+ combos with him which makes me feel good. Cos people miss the point of games like these, no one enjoys playing the game to be good with who they like. Only the characters that are already known to be good for stats and damage, therefore people only play to win, not to be good with their own characters
Soooo I think I'm low key the only one who knows Kakashi can do the exact same thing. His Shurikans are alot easier to dodge but, if they touch guard (as an assist) you still go through it...
I haven't heard one complaint about Kakashi... Until watching this cheese I'd never really compared the two. I'd been thinking I was timing my guard break to hit right after they finish, but I think it's the Ryo effect tbh.

Think I found a solution that would help stop all the cheesy plays in this game: Raise all super costs to 2 bars of energy each, would make it alot harder to spam the single energy bar supers like Ichigo's and Zoro's, and increase the support cooldown to a few seconds longer, resulting in less spamming of piccolo and other beam or disable supports.
Damn I found that thing with Ryo by myself, now I will feel bad because of the cheese

Dude I have experienced worse. How about spamming Tailed Beast Rasenshuriken while spamming Vegetas assist and then while I'm still in block stun from Vegeta's assist, and then Rasenshuriken again and repeat. Ya this game is starting to feel alot like XenoVerse ranked now.

Only thing I don't like about this game are some people's abilities. To explain, some characters will have their abilities interrupted with a simple punch yet others will take a whole combo while preforming their ability and still get it off

Possibly the blockstun on ryo's assist is short, so you won't have to worry about the guard break rule. That's my guess.
There is a gap to that setup as well, and at times, it will definitely work if you don't backdash on reaction.
You can also cheese using special beam cannon cause if you time it right you can break their guard while they are still being held in place by the cannon that's not even going off anymore

I think the reason it happens is because while most supports have a continuos hitbox, or great hitstun, Ryo’s support are two homing separate hitbox with small hitstun
This game is SUPER funny to play with friends offline, but when I search for some ranking matches it make me so angry that every time I swear God I'm never gonna play this game anymore. And the day after, same story, again and again ...

i think everybody has cheese in them. you just have to find their powerful spams and learn to use them. i use gaara to beat everyone at my school. Gaara has a spam shooting sand attack that sometimes is even faster than killuas lightning move. I was pretty pissed when you put gaara at C teir.....havent played online ranked matches yet cus i dont think fitgirl repack would allow that😅

The characters themselves aren’t the main problem here. The main problem right now is the frequency in which people can use they’re assists. Assists right now are way to overpowered. Especially some more than others. Rukia’s assist is the perfect example of bad balancing. The range is ridiculous, the ice lingers for way too long, and it essentially opens you up to a guard break or a rush attack. I’m C2 in ranked, and have encountered Rukia assist spammers like 75% of the time. Truly frustrating......

It's sad because this game could surpass storm 4 and xenoverse if they fix these things:
-Super armor to spam moves
-Allow you to counter ultimates if you have stamina so you cant get punished for playing fairly aggressive and not pussylike.
-Give a certain amount of mobility to evade instead of the whole bar.

‘Is this game dying already?’ I guess that’s what happens when the meta characters are completely broken and the games tutorial ends when you accidentally kill the tutorial enemy, games fun. But honestly the developers should of balanced this mess long ago. Even I can barely find any variety of people at D5.
Square 4x will guarantee another Lion Song. If you dont want to use ult u can use 1080 pound phoenix. If they dont die you have time to recharge energy
I noticed you couldn't land the full combo with Zoro. Instead of doing a light then heavy after the first lion song do 4 lights.

This game is the cheesiest game I've ever played in my life, majority of the stuff you came across I've been experiencing and majority of my friends have been complaining about it. I'm glad a bigger UA-camr is actually addressing this game's awful core mechanics and bugs. This game ain't finished, If it isn't patched after the first DLC is launched it's going to die in a month.
I used to like this game.
Then I played online.
All that happened was I got spammed and infinited to death. I could not win one single match. And against Deku, I couldn't even play the video game.
Uninstalled, never playing again.

Imagine a Jump crossover which has as many series and characters as Jump Ultimate Stars and is developed by CyberConnect2, you know, the folks behind those amazingly simple but fairly balanced Naruto Storm games and the fun as all hell Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle, and of course, ASURA'S WRATH! Just imagine the possibilities.
I dropped and advanced combo video where you can get more damage out of that Zoro combo.
Two days ago I was playing ranked, and after a 10 minutes wait I flung match. He was in D5, while I am in C1 (💩). I forgot to stop the download of an update, so I lagged a lot and then I lost the match, losing 550 point. I almost deleted jump force from my ps4...

The game was just released recently, give them some time, all these cheeses and broken mechanics can be potentially fixed. Although this is extremely off putting for newer players the game is still great fun with friends and all the characters are unique and interesting to play with, yes some are op yes some are weak but which game is fully balanced and has no issues whatsoever. Jump force can be a great game for all if these issues are addressed and fixed ASAP.
When i buy an game for 60$, i expect the game to be fully finished combat wise, and most of the bug issues fixed. The idea of an anime game where you can play as your favorite anime characters is an really good idea. But unfortunately the idea got into the wrong company. Saying that a game can be fun with friends is an bad excuse for the game, nearly every game can be fun with games, i mean i had hella fun with Sea of thieves even though the game lacks with content and actual things to do in the game. The combat in this game is fucking stale and exploitable and i'd doubt that Bandai will fix most of the issues soon.
I love this game but like I hope they can add some charecters for some of the animes that only have 1 and fix some stuff

I like the game I really do but I’m the type of player who do go for risks . It’s very frustrating when I’m going against players who only spams super/ult attacks and still when the game against someone who more strategic. And THE PERFECT COUNTER/ESCAPE IS BS . It’s a random thing , there’s no practicing to get the Timing correct or nothing it literally spamming The button and hope you get it
And two more things:
1. I feel like there’s a limit of health you take in combo because even when I’m awakened and do the same combo (+ult) it does little difference
2. When you call assist attack they should not be able to be hit by and ult. Or if they hit decrease you over all health

To be honest, that's the first cheese that brings me to my limit... Ichigo, Rukya, Picollo, Aizen, I can deal with it... But this... I have tried and the best I can do is win one round... Maybe because I don't like cheese and I don't use any of those characters (I use Sanji, Luffy and mostly Kakashi team) I make my life harder...
