I followed this step by step and Lo and behold my ryobi is running again. Thank you, just saved me from buying a new one. If it didn’t, not sure how I would troubleshoot….

Hey Hank, I have that same unit, curb found. Runs fine just like yours. But it vibrates excessively enough to make it uncomfortable to hold; hands hurt (& teeth rattle, LOL) after minimal use. I am surprised because it is Full Crank; i.e., two crank bearings. Did you experience this? If so, do you have advice how to make it run more smoothly? Thanks.
Those carbs might be adjustable . Hidden screw covered by a plastic reverse threaded cover . My neighbor has one of those I fixed by cleaning carb and putting back. Which does not always work. In our HOA it is illegal to do any sort of repairs. We have to take all repairing jobs to Uncle Bob's shop, which is a chain maintained by our HOA president. Top quality service at Uncle Bob.
No it's not. HOAs cannot enforce laws that are unlawful. If it is your own equipment, that you bought, then no one can tell you not to fix your own equipment. If it's equipment bought and maintained by the HOA for residents to borrow then sure, however, if you have to pay for communal equipment to be fixed I'd recommend you buy your own and tell them to pound sand

I have one similar to this. Starts on the 3rd pull each and every time...for the past 10yrs. Replaced the fuel tank, carb, etc. Still running

Just finished doing mine following any steps and it works. I did confirm I ordered the correct carburetor based on the model off of Amazon

That could be the head that’s screwed up or bent somehow. They shouldn’t vibrate that much.
