    “His business was left on the doorstep” which before I even started this video I was thinking what I’m bout to say myself... look the women were left to the house, kids, and whatever else in these eras. She probably really doesn’t know as much as she thinks she does as far as what went on outside! A man in this game has two lifestyles... out in the streets and back at home. So I’m not really going to lean on her words. She’s upset and I get that. Everybody yrs after the fact has their own view of what was what

    • @iloveme567
      @iloveme567 2 роки тому +5

      Two lifestyles. If you watch The Godfather trilogy it speaks directly to this point. Women stayed in their places and took care of the home front. Loved and supported their men while keeping quiet and going along. Only a few of the newer, younger ones speak out. Loyalty among thieves and gangsters. Watch Goodfellas too. At the very end of the day he and his minions destroyed lives and families, left children to die or fend for themselves. What makes him and the others fueling Harlem so great??? Talk to the children who were left behind to get a real perspective. Maymie, in my view was better off remaining silent. She said herself, he left his business at the doorstep so how would she be able to stake claims other than speak of the lifestyle he provided her and their kids? Wake up people!! I hated everything he stood for. Throw me a free turkey after pushing poison through my mother’s nose/veins whatever. This is all so disgusting. Black heroes as drug pushers, right??? At least BMF admits they destroyed lives through their business, lived large and some are proud of it. But look what’s happened to them and the legacy left for their children. Smdh… disgusting!!!

He has an interview on youtube also. He has recently passed also. Again Frank Lucas was unknown b4 this movie. Do your research, dont rely on one persons story, especially a movie. Hoodlum was a good movie even if it not 100% accurate. It tells story that if willing viewers could then research & learn more about the people depicted particularly the African American community in Harlem's struggles against the racist cops & mafia. Madame Saint-Clair true story is a remarkable one & so is her & Bumpy Johnson's unspoken activism for equality.

    Her definition of a good man is obviously different from most ppl's. Here's a man who was big in the underworld and did a lot of heinous crimes much of his life and contributed greatly to the undoing and misguidance of a lot of other people and she calls him good because he was guiltily philanthropic? Sure those gestures may have appeased her but come on, how can it negate the wrong he was involved in and the impact it had on millions? I guess it all depends on what you choose to focus on. He was obviously a brilliant and capable leader. I wonder how things would have turned out for him if he (was able/had opportunity to) use his talents doing legal things. He obviously made his choice from the options/circumstances he faced at the time like we all do! It's is funny (peculiar) how we can't help but romanticize these type of ppl.

      Aaron Foster yep we constantly glorify people who destroyed our community destroy a generation just for the material things in life. If she was so upset with mr. Lucas betrayal of her husband Just go back check the contract the contract of life the deal that we make with the Devil. One of the comments says she died may God have mercy on her soul because she was just a part of that destruction of a community right along with her husband. When she went to the store and brought steaks when the other families that were being destroyed 8 little of nothing because they took the parents of these kids and when they wear their coats and being warm and when the family of the parents of the kids that they had did not have heat in their homes she's crying about how they falsify relationship between two Crooks. You see for black man such as myself it is very hard to raise a boy into a man when we fall gullible two people making Heroes out of crooks I tell my son to treat a lady with respect and treat men with honesty and look them straight in the eye when you talk. But with the White media petrang all of us as Crooks and the crooks of our own race coming out selling a story glorifying it in the rappers singing about selling drugs and f****** b****** supposed to be women but the women shaking dance and glorify this is very hard to make a proper young man. But through all of this I'm going to keep trying and the person who's running this on UA-cam just for pics and Views can you find another subject besides degradation two are people given a white folks something to say this is what all we do.

    Apparently, the time period when Frank says he was Bumpy's driver, Bumpy was in prison. This was a fifteen year time frame, when Bumpy was not around. If you watch Frank Lucas and Nicky Barnes talking to each other on a conference call, it's titled 'Nicky Barnes and Frank Lucas: Videotaped Phone Conversation,' you can tell Frank Lucas is full of shit. So you've got a liar in Frank, and a snitch in Nicky who convinced himself he was justified in ratting out 65 people because they moved on with their lives when he got sentenced to life after the vanity went to his head and he posed for the cover of NY Times Magazine section in a flash suit instead of them using his mugshot. For a man who claims to have made 50 million, why wasn't he smart enough to get that money out of the country and move to Belize or Costa Rica back before they had extradition treaties with the U.S.? He sent the mother of his children to prison for ten years. As for Bumpy--I'm interested to know about his childhood in Charleston, SC, where his brother was murdered for something he said to a white man, and how that affected him and his family. And also interested to know if he was some type of savant--how did he remember the numbers and the bets without writing stuff down? How was he able to do the math without a formal education, did Stephanie St. Clair teach him? Guess I'll have to read on. Once these geezers started talking, now that the statute of limitations ran out, they all started making their own answer videos over these disputes, still talking trash to each other, each with different versions of reality. Get them all together in a room and I bet they would start a fight with their walkers and canes.
