I think I usually do the compressed fuel (usually charcoal blocks) and then regular ingots. Gets the longest running without trying to automate (which is usually prone to disappointment in my experience, unless something has changed in recent versions of GTNH).
You should look into piston boots. Not sure if it's something that would annoy you or not, but you could at least be able to jump out of your furnaces. Also just makes getting around so much better.
I still suggest you move the Twilight forest portal up into your base somewhere. It is easy access to growing (cotton and peanuts) and simple building space (like for multiple BBFs and the coke ovens to supply them. It's also quick to pop in there to bonemeal and chop trees.
The problem with the treehouse design is that you will always be short on space, it will be annoying to move around and automate, and stuff will always be “for now”. Drives me crazy, but IF you are willing to put in build work each session, it is great.
Damn, it's already been 23 episodes since season 2, time flies by so fast
Did Kharax introduce this as Season 2? Nope!
"Season 2" - 5
"Season 3" - 17
"A Noisy Twilight Forest" - 1

could you use a restricted item pipe to feed the coal back into the drawer at a lower priority than the ovens so it never gets backed up?

What is chunk loading like in Twilight? Are certain amount of chunks always loaded in Twilight (like around portal)?

To prevent falling into the BBFs you could place a block 2 blocks above the center of the multi
