Yamaha Ténéré 700 20k: Replacing rear wheel dust seals

- After 20 000km rear wheel sprocket dust seal is worn out and needs replacing, so this is very quick maintenance how-to.
The dust seals protect the bearings and it is super easy to change them prolonging the life of the bearings significantly. Very simple and cheap task to do.

Thanks for this series of videos on the T7, they are really useful and well thought out.
Great videos, thank you. Did you notice this after 20k or preventative maintenance? Can you also answer a question? My Tenere is pulling left when I release the handle bar. Any suggestions? Thanks again, your videos are amazing!
Good info. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
I'm wondering what kind of grease you used? I ask because it looks the same as the OEM grease that I see in my drive hub. Great video!
Hi, I'm using just simple Calcium grease which is yellow/brownish or Molybdenum sulfide grease EP-2 which is black.
Glad it was helpful.
The original didn't have a spring, did you replace it with an OEM dust seal that had a spring?
Original didn't have a spring and I got the kit which had them. The kit is after market I got it from off-the-road.de
Is the dust seal the OEM one?
The new dust seal is after market. Same size of course. The bearings and dust seals from Yamaha are super expensive comparing to what you can get from other reputable manufactures.
@@FARANDFURTHER thanks, I saw it at OFF THE ROAD.Your videos are allways helpfull
