Such a short lived band but loads of great memories from this 1982 album and all the hits. Great to see them reunited and performing the album, 40 years later.
Ohhh....i played this album over and over for a long time and it is all coming back now. Sweet memories of the eighties. For me Spandau Ballet en Haircut One Hundred were the new standard then.
I saw this band at Perkins Palace in Pasadena Ca. on Friday, May 21, 1982. Opening act was Paul Collins Beat. It was their only US tour before they disbanded. I still have the ticket stub. The band was the six musicians from the album "Pelican West". Besides NH I don't how many other original members are here.
One of the biggest "what ifs" in music, if they didnt implode in 1983 what could have been? They have a great sound and Nick Heywood's lyrics werent typical of the time.
Saw this tour in York- Nov 23. Was a brilliant night. Played the full PW album plus a lot more of what should have come next. Supported by a great young band called “Barbara”. Check them out.
Please come back to Toronto! I was at your May 1982 show! To this day it was one of the best sounding shows I attended. My ears were ringing for a day or two thanks to the horns and sax, but what fun!
It is a shame it’s only 3 of the band now. The drummer is having an operation so had to pull out of the tour and no longer.and no idea what happened to the sax player and the conger player.
It's really a shame. I had the opportunity to meet the 3 and it would be great to meet the rest of the guys. I bought the 40th anniversary of Pelican West and it came signed by all the members, so I suppose that at least they are alive ;)
I had a little chat with Marc Fox (percussionist) on FB the other day and he said he wasn't asked to take part on the tour. Don't know about the background to this though. I missed him to be honest always thought he was great maybe also because he was born here in Germany 🙂
Thanks for your comment. Marc was never part of the crucial members, being them Nick, Les, Graham and Blair. Phil and Marc are on the second line. After Nick left, Marc took the lead and I think that it never was well accepted by the rest of the members, and that's why, perhaps, to avoid conflicts they decide not to invite him to join the tour.
Blair was recovering from an operation, so Andy Treacey, who plays with Nick on his solo work stepped in and did an amazing job! I also think Sian Monaghan and the boys on the horns did an amazing job…they sound so great together and you could feel the joy on the stage! X 😊 Wishing Blair all the best x
My goodness!! Nick is still going strong then. And sounding absoultely fantastic live. Nice to see it. I bought Haircut 100's 1982 album "Pelican West" on CD at my local HMV for only £3.99 three days back. A really great album at that. I love it.
Hayward hadn't aged, he sounds plays And looks great! These songs make me smile and bring back great memories!

Thanks Christopher! same kind of joy that I felt
Love Haircut 100 ❤😊. Ah, memories from the 80’s. 😢 From Aurora ‘87

Fantastic job lads! Thanks for the memories.
You're welcome!
This is a musicians line-up worthy of a Steely Dan show. What a collection of talent on that stage!
Haircut 100 is my freshman year in college. It’s such great music. Glad to see Nick Hayward is still a cutie. 😁
Sound as good as they did in 1980. Hopefully a new lp to pick up where they left off
It will be challenging for them to make a second album as good as Pelican West, but we are all hoping for it to happen.
Just got my tickets to see them in September with ABC, and Howard Jones
Great, it will be a Fantastic Day 😁
I'm bummed they will most likely have a short set for that billing
Same here! I can't wait!
I'll show you how good they were in Del Mar next month on my channel.
I see them Aug 30th with ABC & Howard Jones!!
Seriously, nick Hayward looks and sounds even better now than four decades ago. What is your secret, nick?!
Indeed! and besides that he's still looking good

Good question!
Such energy, Favourite Shirts is on another level :)
the 12" version is amazing🤩
Love this band. Thank you for sharing ❤

Oh yeah! I’m 74 and still can’t rock out to Boy Meets Girl.
Brilliant Album, well played.
Thanks for watching Alan
Quite possibly the best pop album of the 1980s.
Indeed👌
It really is it's own genre. Like Cupid and Psyche '85 and Steve McQueen...still play the vinyl on festive occasions.
Wow, sound great! Hayward has such a nice voice.
Pure talent! Love these guys since "love plus one"
Thanks!
Love Plus One so beautiful song
So it is! Thanks

Just brilliant sounds great 40 plus years on
Still fresh as new...
Thanks you so much for filming this. One for The Ages.
You're welcome!
Yes, thank you!
You're welcome Tim!
THANK YOU FOR THIS!
You're welcome!
They sound great!
Learning to play the solo on my Alto Sax. Much love from the USA
would love to see you tour here (west coast!)
Greatest gig ever❤
I bought this album for my girlfriend’s 13th birthday present, she didn’t like them but I wanted to educate her.
Dump her.
How good is this
💪💪💪💪 amazing !
Thank you Andrea
Nice Fade !! 😮
I needed a 'handle' for using CB radio,.. My choice.... Haircut 100, what else 😊
Did Blair do any shows of that tour. I believe this is the same drummer who is now plays with the Beach Boys.

Tempos feel slow but they sound great regardless.
Sounded extremely tight!
The only things that could’ve made it better for me was Blair, Marc, Phil & calling Captain Autumn😢
They did not play calling captain autumn, because only Blair will be up to the task. It’s not for any drummer
That percussionist is the hardest-working woman in show business!
Good stuff. But where is Blair Cunningham? Where is Blair?
Blair had a surgery and according to Les (12:19) the operation went very well and he is at home recovering
OK. Better info than I thought I would get. Thanks.@@acrfactor

Brass section seems a bit off
Is this the Hexagon gig?
Hi Sue, yest it is!
God bless these guys. We're watching Slow Horses, and River Cartwright seems to stolen his look from Nick.
Superior Musicians!!!
Where's Blair ?
Compare the 80's to 2024. Bummer.
Infatuencion is the best
He looks like Rick Moranis
Wierd... I was just wondering what these old gits would look and sound like today.
Great it seems.
ouch...that drummer isnt a great fit, great to see them live though
What happened to Blair??
He had a sugery, but he's fine
Where's Phil??
Retired
