Thank you, I always try to get the details in. Third time they've played it, third time I was capturing this song, time to shine some light on Jamie Cook's work on this.
I so hope they play this when I see them in Detroit. They didn't in Nashville but I was there for The Ultracheese debut 💛 Update! They did! This and TBH&C. Thankfully.
So when you gaze at planet earth from outer space Does it wipe that stupid look off of your face? @@BillyBob-wg4pd promise you, it's"Lolas". Once you know it, you hear it. I also used to think it was "lovers" and thought, wow, for a superstar, he is super modest. Another comment below gives an interesting interpretation : Lola being short for Dololes, he is speaking about his pain.
@@karinelaguerre5348 my point wasnt that ur wrong my point was i didnt put those lyrics up thinking they were right i just put up whatever google had for the sake of it
This version is so much better than the album version. In the album version Alex's singing and the rest of the band don't mix well at certain parts of the song. Every time i listen to the album version it just pisses me off cause I'm like "Why didn't you they just play it like they did live?" They definitely should've re-recorded this track, the flow is so off on the album version.
Live version might be have more swing (not that particular word, i guess), but in the album it gets so dramatic, with Alex almost narrating the lyrics and the retro-spacy vibe at its peak.
a criminally underrated song :'(
Favourite song off TBHC, great shots mate!
Leonard Shayler same!
LITERALLY SAME! along with OPP and science fiction
Nice quality. Love the close ups

idk how he plays such a complicated keyboard part while singing and dancing
This was the definitive Turner look for the TBH&C era.
the definitive is bald ones
I'm going to see them live and I hope they play this song!!!!
Beautiful

Nice profile pic
I wonder what Jaimie and Alex were looking at 1:50 😂
Probably their stage guitarist Tom. His solo fucks hard on that bit
that's the wikipedia call "weird synth"
That's a Vox Continental, not a synthesizer
why nobody is talking about 2:17?
People are sleeping on it ;).
Thank you for the timestamp

Nah. Album version is fine.
It does sound better live - more fluid and more passionate.

It's a marketing strategy from the band to force us all go to the concerts.
Música da copa e do Renato Milkovic!!
...Meet so many lolas LOL
Lolas = sorrows, It is a short form of the Spanish name Dolores, meaning "sorrows"
