choice depends on type of customers.
some customers like compact hatchback, then baleno is best in market.
some other customers says for almost same price legroom space is more in desire with sedan segment they opt for dezire.

Baleno is more fun to drive than desire.... And all versions of Baleno comes with ABS & EBD. While only top 2model of desire have ABS & EBD.

Wat make baleno stand out is its fastback kind of design, it looks sexy. Wen i look at rear end of Dzire it feels like butt being chopped off. And u didn't mention about tyre size, wheel base. Dzire get break assist however With bigger tyres and bigger wheel Base its breaking is very decent and quite stable as well compared to Dzire. BL gets telescopic adjustable steering as well
