You guys are so RAD!
“I got bit!”
“That’s exciting”
How you tell if someone is a snake person
@@realchiknuggets he missed one word big deal. Fuck off
Chik Nuggets「тм」 Don't be a dick :)
@@realchiknuggets I'm seeing punctuation issues but the grammar seems fine for conversational English. Perhaps you could point out the grammatical error.
Guys c'mon... This is Clint's Reptiles! We're all friends here, bad grammar or not. ❤

I think it’s hilarious that the video title is “I get bit by a venomous snake” but the first thing you see is a box that says “live harmless reptile”
@** i mean it can but usually they need to chew on you for a bit
They are mildly venomous
Leftist Lyncher they can inject venom. It just takes a second, while something like a rattlesnake is instantaneous
Leftist Lyncher but he got bitten and he’s def not stupid 🧐
My thoughts EXACTLY!!!
Congrats on the new baby! Welcome to the wonderful world of poop flinging false water cobras. :P They're one of my favorites! I'm glad mine could get you hooked!
Look what you've done to me! (And thank you so much for doing it to me!)
Emily, you’ve got my interest piqued too! Will be getting a falsie when I’ve got time & space. Amazing animals!!!

What is that name you were leaning towards? (you got cut off by getting bit by the baby noodle:)).

We need to protect Clint at all costs . He’s the most pure thing on earth besides newborns and glacier water.
I very strongly agree with this statement! Very pure. Clint is a treasure!

Adrenaline junkie🤣😂
"Harmless reptile" on box XD
Unknown Unknown it’s practically harmless. its rear fanged venomous and the venom is mild they would have to chew a long time to actually do much damage. the only way your in danger is if your allergic
Sorry no venomous snake is going to be labeled harmless, I'm not so sure it's venomous, I looked up that particular snake and the patterns on his and the picture I saw don't quite match up, I could be wrong, but on this one I don't think I am .
@@thekrazykshow8011 it is definitely venomous, mildly, but still venomous.
Kev's Crazylife False water cobra’s have rear fangs. They have to bite and hold on and “chew” the venom into the prey in order for it to harm anything. And, even then, it’s only mild and most people only get swelling at the site of the bite. But yeah, it’s venomous.
@@thekrazykshow8011 i said its not going to do anything unless your allergic. its NOT medically significant unless you are allergic
Your excitement is adorable! And contagious! You know you're a snake person when you're still excited after being pooped on and bit in the first 10 minutes! "He has such a great temperment! He gets worked with!" *nom nom*

@@ClintsReptiles can you do a video about what to do if you lose a snake
@@jaydenprado8556 The best thing to do is think of all the places you would expect them to be. Then don’t look in those places. Look in the places that you know there is no possible way they could have gotten there. That’s usually where you will find them.
@@jaydenprado8556 I know this comment is a whole year old, but when my ball python escaped TWICE (before I learned my lesson and properly secured the tank) she was behind my boyfriend's computer since it was dark, warm, and pretty cozzy if you're a cold blooded snake lol. I have seen people who put water dishes around their house and hides too in case the snake wants to take a sip or take a nap and then you might get lucky and catch them then, you can also use flour and if the snake slithers through the flour you might find it that way.
@@jaydenprado8556 My ball python is approaching thirty years old, and she was an absolute houdini when she was little. She got loose a few times in my very messy dorm room back in college, and once in my very messy bathroom where she lives now. Here's my approach, fwiw: Close any doors, tuck towels under them if there's any gap. Look for any other gaps or exits from the room (cut-outs around drainpipes, vents, loose baseboards) Check as possible then blockade them. Be systematic. Carefully move non-compartmented larger items (wooden chairs, floor lamps, etc) out of the way once you confirm Missing Critter isn't curled up in them. Don't step or sit down anywhere you haven't totally confirmed is clear of Missing Critter (so avoid stuffed furniture like couches). My biggest fear was always accidentally crushing her in the process of locating her. Remove soft goods one by one, after shaking them out gently. Pookie really liked the laundry pile. Once you're down to furniture with compartments to search in/behind, go very carefully. Look under and behind, then slide drawers out slowly, staying alert for any resistance. If you can remove the drawers gently, do that. Check not just the drawer, but the entire inside of the piece of furniture. If it's against a wall, gently slide it forward. I found Pookie behind a bookcase, having wedged herself there halfway up the wall. If you have over-stuffed furniture, remove any removeable cushions, check for any gaps where Missing Critter could get inside it. Do NOT put weight on the springs, or rock/open recliners. Feel carefully as deeply around as you can without moving the furniture, use a flashlight to look under and behind. Being sure to tip it into a clear area, tip the furniture over so you can see the underside. Listen for any sounds of critter being displaced. See if you can get inside the piece without doing too much damage. There are a LOT of hollow spaces inside stuffed furniture (I had a cat that would get inside our old couch, and if you were laying on it you could hear her purring behind the back cushions). I don't actually know if there's a size limit on youtube comments, but if all this doesn't work, set up a warm spot and Missing Critter's water bowl, remove barriers from any exit or hidey holes you couldn't fully check initially, leaving it dark and quiet if possible, and see if they can be tempted out. If it's a hard floor, a light dusting of flour or cornstarch may show traces when you come back, if they're not just hanging out in their bowl acting like nothing happened. Any advice beyond a closed space would be so specific to the species and situation that I probably don't have general recommendations. Anyway, I hope this helps someone sometime.
I love how excited you are about this new snake. It's so genuine.
“Gets bit by snake” that’s exciting! honestly Clint your too precious for this world bless you 😂

@@Spaceinvader2424
False Water Cobras are indeed venomous, but they're rear-fanged (like a Hognose) and their venom isn't very strong at all. In most people their venom causes a reaction that is at most akin to a bee sting on steroids.

Depends on the snake you get bitten by. One of my ball pythons, hog nose or corn snakes bites me? “Wadda ya doin’ you silly little noodle” as I laugh. I can completely empathize with how you've fallen in love with Falsies! I discovered them a while ago, before I got my first snake, and decided a venomous, albeit rearfanged and nonlethal, was probably not the wisest first snake for me. I'm getting some eventually though! They're one of my faves. I'm always excited to see Emily's and I wish I knew someone near me who kept them. Your excitement was so sincere and very contagious! I couldn't stop smiling with you! Have fun with your new guy, can't wait to see him grow into a huge, cantankerous FWC.

... And I already thought Emily was super adorable when getting new snakes/ seeing her hatchlings for the first time.
Its so wonderful seeing you being so happy, it warms my heart!
If I remember correctly false water cobras are rear fanged
They are, that's why Clint said at the time of the bite, he wasn't 100% sure if it was a fanged bite or just a bite with the front teeth.
“This is better than Christmas... Don’t tell Christmas.” 🤣🐍
They say there are two kinds of motorcycle riders: those who've dropped a bike and those who will drop a one sometime in the future. Snake bites are kind of the same for people who like to handle snakes. Fortunately, such unexpected events are generally more exciting than they are damaging.
When I was a kid I was handling an eastern yellow-bellied racer, (a lovely, but rather hyperactive, unfriendly creature). We were looking at each other eye to eye, and he decided to bite me on the nose. That wasn't the funniest part, though. The funniest part was that he wouldn't let go. And the alarming thing was that the friend who was with me at the time almost swallowed his tongue and died because he was laughing so hard.
Both motorcycles and snakes tend to keep you humble by making you look really foolish every so often.
As someone who has been bitten more times than I can count (thankfully none of them life threatening...the only venomous snake I have been bit by is a garter snake) I can 100% agree with this statement. When you deal with snakes, it's not if you are going to get bitten, but when. Sooner or later, it will happen. You can be one of the most knowledgeable person in the world when it comes to working with snakes and sooner or later, you will be bitten. And it can one of the more humbling things especially if you are handling a snake and trying to teach someone about them and suddenly you have a small episode of panic because you were caught off guard when you were bitten.
Thank you for the video and showing that even though this happens it’s not that bad! Don’t fear the noodles!
I know I shouldn't, but I laughed my arse off when he bit you. He's so adorable! Deffo a great addition to your home :)

@@ClintsReptiles so... is it really venomous?

This is easily my favourite reptiles channel, the excitement shown by him just goes to show how passionate he is
I've never seen such a mature and optimistic reaction to a snake bite, especially a venomous one!
I mean, the last thing you want to do is panic when you are bitten. Clint handled this 100% correctly. He didn't freak out and panic, he first made sure to calmly get the snake back under control so it couldn't bite him again, and he continued to not panic throughout. This is exactly how you should react when bitten by a venomous snake. Of course, with a false water cobra, a bite isn't as serious as other species, but you would handle bites the same way. You would remain calm, ensure you would not get bitten again; either by returning the snake to its enclosure if it is a pet...or remove yourself from the snake's space if you are in the wild, and calmly seek medical attention if necessary.
I hadn't found you until recently. It is so sweet to see how your background and outfits have changed. You look like a guy just sitting at his kitchen table talking about reptiles. Only Clint could ever been this genuinely excited about a bite from a (mildly) venomous snake. Although based on how brief that bite was it's most likely from the teeth near the front of the snake's mouth to truly envenomate you a FWC would have to bite and hold on and "chew" the venom into the wound.

Hognoses and gartersnakes are venomous too, but they are not dangerous for humans as far as we know. False water cobras are rear fanged, they can't invenomate easily and usually need to get a good grip on ya. Unless you're heavily allergic, it doesnt really need any medical attention.
Eh harmless, not really venomous very slightly
