In August, I finished one kit. A DAC Sesame Street pic for my kiddo. This month I'm all in for Drills and Chills with a small make market kit and several others on deck to choose from when I finish!
Finished 225 color Leo by Josephine Wall from Diamond Painting Deutschland in August in time for a massive milestone birthday. Currently working on The Bluebirds’ Song by Chuck Pinson for Chuck a Long 10.❤ Also completed Gnome For the Holidays from DAC, two budget friendlies and PGM Doors Edition. I truly believe you will finish your X-stitch conversion by the end of the year. You won’t be able to stop yourself as that finish line gets closer and closer. I’m rooting for ya 🎉
i started my second project which is city digs and I worked on that until time for drills and chills and now I’m working on ghost Café for that. It has already been so much fun. I have really enjoyed it and it’s only into few days. Thanks for the video! Oh, and I started multi placing. I’m loving it!
Hello Katie. Great month in review video. I like seeing all the kits you work on each month. For me, most of August was spent on Lorenz's Love Bird Lodge. That is a large kit and took some time. I finished it a little early before Drills and Chills started so I just worked on a quick little kit I bought at Hobby Lobby called Rainbow Tree from Leisure Arts. I am enjoying working on my D & C art piece, Graveyard Goodies, from Spangler. Those little draglings are so darn cute.
Universe In A Jar looks amazing! I love all the colors! My special kit I'm sitting on is Hazel's World 😊. I knew immediately when I saw it what you mean by a piece speaking to you. I'm saving it for now. For my first Drills and Chills, I'm working on the little hanging framed pumpkin kit from Michael's.
Hi Katie, I am doing Drills and Chills for the first time. I also plan to do a cross stitch conversion temperature chart next year. I am going to do a phases of the moon chart and will be using up a lot of my leftover drills from previous projects plus a lot of the dreaded 310s. LOL!
Awesome job with your cross stitch conversion. That is something I will not be doing, but I enjoy seeing the finished panels. Loved all the canvases you completed!🎃🍁🍂
I know you’re not crazy about your temperature project, but I like it more each month. Maybe when it’s done you will like it more. I am working on Anne Stokes’ Crystal Ball for Drills & Chills. It’s been a dream so far ❤.
I have ran out of drills from 2 newer kits from DAC. It’s very frustrating especially since they are very expensive. It definitely takes the fun out of diamond painting.
Have run out twice. I was frustrated with customer service because I ran out of one color early in the painting and they wouldn't send the replacement until I finished the rest of it. It was a bummer.
Oh no. I sure hope this doesn’t happen to my Drills and Chills DAC project. I’ll be upset! They do appear to be getting a bit sloppy. I’ve got two of the same symbols on the one I’m working on so have to pay attention to the background color. Thankful they are a very different color.
Tonight I'm going to kit up Dreaming of Halloween from the One With the Diamond Art, which is an adorable dragon & pumpkin image. Won't be able to start until the last week of September, but I'm kitting up nonetheless!
Hi Katie, thank you for going over your completions and WIPS. I am taking a break from Golden Cocker Spaniel. I will finish kitting up Black Cat for Drills and Chills, and start 2morrow. I will work on Black Cat when my Personal Assistant doesn't come over. I don't need the anxiety. I worked on Golden Cocker Spaniel, and almost couldn't get up the the dining room chair. Harry Potter is adorable, and Universe in a jar makes my Astronomy Geek happy. If your book, where you record your Diamond painting is leather, try Saddle soap. You can get Saddle soap at a Feed store. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers because I am seeing my Psychiatrist and lead therapist. My lead therapist thinks Diamond painting is a Dumb hobby for Dumb people. Plus he want my Psychiatrist to put me on heavy mood controlling drug. Can you say Lithium. I know my Psychiatrist will argue with my lead therapist. Stay indoors with the heatwave this week.
Wow! It's actually quite shocking to me that a therapist would say something so negative and dismissive about a hobby. Surely, the fact that it brings you some sort of comfort should be encouraged, not scoffed at. It's quite rude, really. I hope you continue to enjoy your hobbies, whatever they are, because it's important and so is your mental health ✨️ 😊
@@openorwap5412I saw him today, and he sounded like a broken record. Plus he said I need grow up. He would not let me have a word in. Therapist are supposed to listen to you, then respond with the best advice. This is not what is happening
The temperature chart looked wonky (imo) to me when you first started it but it's looking really nice now that it's filling out. I think it was hard for me to visualize it without printing on the canvas 😅. I actually like the color combo it linds reminds me of fall. I'm doing Drills and Chills and am double excited because my entry canvas is going quickly and it will allow me finish up and work on my black cat wip. Cool update, Thank you!
I ran out of drills on one of my snack sized kits. So frustrating. I ended up getting some sent from DAC, but I hated leaving a corner partially finished
Wow, that conversion looks AMAZING! I actually have the Storykeep of that chart and I love it! It is also super massive! I sure hope I get to jump into Drills and Chills this year. Witch's Brew by Bonnie White is calling my name! I have to finish a diamond painting for my best friend for Christmas before I start any others. Its the very confetti heavy Lizard Garden by Rose Kahn. It would not be appropriate for Drills and Chills LOL.
I enjoyed seeing what you completed in August and continued working on. I really like your conversion piece you broke into panels. I completed one dac Halloween piece Happy Jack's Glitter moons and 3 or maybe 4 that needed to be done from paint gem Fourth of July kit. Those pieces are a feel good when I get the need to feel accomplishment while working on a larger piece.
I just finished Satura on 9/1. I had 2 WIPs going into September - a budget Taylor swift kit I am doing for my daughter (but not enjoying, so I’ve been ignoring it) and Otter from Diamond Art Club. I just started Aveliad Autumn for Drills and Chills. I am expecting to finish Otter from DAC this month and then I am going to do New Moon which is a DAC kit from Amazon with flow in the dark drills.
great video as always Katie 💜 I really like this month in review videos. You did amazing job! This cross stitch conversion looks absolutely stunning. I enjoy seeing how every panel comes to live 😍 today I'm feeling very sick and tired and Your voice and content made my day better so thank You 🥺💙

Some really beautiful finishes, lover the progress on your cross stitch conversion😀
I’m doing my first time Drills and Chills and I’m very excited
That conversion painting is absolutely beautiful! I give you kudos for sticking with it. Thanks for the recap.
Love the conversion kit...great month...tfs
I agree that those panels are 1 picture each. Those are really coming along.
The blue kitty makes me smile. Really cute.
Love all the completions 😊😊
I’ve crocheted 3 temperature blankets and they are a labor of love. I did my year of birth and my daughters’ years of birth. Interesting with DP.

I've put a piece of tape on the corner and pulled down on the tape to remove the plastic protective cover

so many nice projects!!! I love it!!!
I had this drill anxiety with another premium diamond company this month. I resorted to scouring my floor for any misplaced drills.

I did the universe in a jar this a month ago, I got it in restock this year there was no gapping in my kit so I guess they did do some improvements.
Thank you for all the links

Fr whenever i order a cheaper kit i always haves loads of extra drills but with dac kits im always worried im gonna run out

@@lilovebird I do too! The cheaper kits I have so many leftovers drills. It’s not fun when I’m worried if I’m going to run out of drills.
@@EBinCali oh no that’s not cool! It’s so frustrating when you have to wait for them to ship the drills to finish a kit.

Hitting pause, Katie! The panels look absolutely AMAZING from taking a big step back!!! You go girl!
That notebook with the compass rose on the front is STUNNING!
Your cross stitch conversion is also stunning. Wow!
I did my first mystery kit in August and loved it. Would love to do a cross stitch conversion project any recommendations
You are so fast!! I love your cross stitching conversion. I could never do that. ❤
I ran out of drills on one of my snack sized kits. So frustrating. I ended up getting some sent from DAC, but I hated leaving a corner partially finished
New here, but LOVE the idea of converting a cross stitch pattern to a diamond painting! I have so many ideas now!

I wish I was an octopus 🐙.
Til that happens….ill keep trucking along. 😂 slowly.
