I was about to tweet you on where the second half was, I mainly listen to these at work
I have never commented on UA-cam till now, and I know this is 10 months late, but I served in the Army from 07 to 16. I have been bombarded with non stop black pills by pundits all over the internet. I stumble upon this podcast and I immediately remember the Brotherhood I had. It has revitalized my mental state. It made me genuinely smile and feel proud once again. To a civilian that may seem odd, but to hear these stories, the banter back and forth, I felt at home once again. Thank you guys, seriously. I needed this.

Ya’ll may never see this and that’s okay but it has to be said. I am so grateful for everything you guys do. This podcast has a light in the dark for me for quite some time now. I recently started tackling my mental health problems and it’s been an uphill battle to say the least. Watching these videos and listening to you guys makes me feel like I’m one of the group and it helps make the pain hurt a little less. Thank you for all you do and will continue to do. I had to chuckle when you were talking about the SAS, I worked on the shop floor for a company that made telecommunications equipment, one day a pretty special Range Rover turned up and a load of fairly scruffy chaps got out.
They were shown around the factory and then they said we’d like those and that and this. This stuff was all under contract, either military or the British Broadcasting Corporation, they pretty much said they were the military and they outranked the BBC! 🤣
They left with the stuff that fitted the Range Rover and the rest followed!
We on the shop floor surmised that they were Special Forces!

I joined the Marine Corps in 2001 and wore tri-color woodlands with black leather boots (Cadillacs). I carried a M-16A2 and went to Iraq in 2003 for the start of the war, wearing tri-color deserts. Went to Iraq again in 2005 in desert digitals. Went to Afghanistan in 2012. I Retired early in 2020 after 19yrs 3 months due to medical issues.
By far one of my favorite episodes! Also would love to see fluck on an episode as a guest after this episode!

39:30 there is actually a reason for this and that is the fact that there weapons are meant to be able to work with there strengths but allow them to learn how to work around there weaknesses. Donnie is super smart but this smarts causes him to always overthink a stick is a simple weapon but with the right mind can be utilized in amazing ways. In this case while Donnie is smart he isn’t the best to adapt to new situations without a plan in this case a simple weapon such as a stick teaches him how to improvise in battle. Each weapon was given for a reason.
Even Michelangelo having nunchucks the most difficult weapon to master makes sense because he is the most naturally talented and never pays attention. Using the nunchucks teaches Mikey focus and teaches him to always be aware of his surroundings.
Raphael is the most hot headed and prone to attacking without thinking. Thus master splinter gave him the sai which are primarily defensive weapons teaching him restraint and to think before fighting.
And finally but most importantly Leonardo was given the katana the only real weapon made for killing out of the four. While Leo is the most heroic of the four he is also the one with the most restraint . While Leo is a hero at heart the katana being the most lethal weapon out of the four teaches Leo that while morals are important sometimes the only way to stand by those morals is through violence.
While it seems like a big troll from master splinter it is one of the most important lessons he could have taught the turtles.

Ok so on the topic of bear vs gorilla, a bear would absolutely massacre a gorilla and here is why
1. Bears are stronger than gorillas as scientists have recorded bears tossing around industrial sized trash bins like a beach ball
2. Bears have claws around the size of an adult man’s middle finger that could disembowel the gorilla in one swipe
3. A bear weighs from around 400-600 lbs with the largest ever recorded weighing 1200 lbs, gorillas weight around 400 pounds on the higher end, bears on their hind legs are around 9 ft tall and a gorilla is around 5’5 ft
4.Bears have a muscle under the skin called Panniculus Carnosus which is a layer of striated muscle that all Carnivores that have that provides for the skin to kind of slide around without tearing, like how you can mush your face around with little to no consequences, now bears have more of this than just about any other carnivore which makes it for where in a fight their skin won’t break easily as their is more give you could say, now a gorilla has very little Panniculus Carnosus, even less that humans, so they really don’t have much for biological defense
5. Now one of the things that people say are “ but gorillas have thumbs “ yes they do, but they fucking suck at using them offensively, they are too small to really hold anything and they really are for just grabbing food and such
6.when it comes to fighting style, bears are known for their grappling ability with people from the Ural Mountains known to wrestle them for practice, they also use their class very well, now gorillas kind of fight like toddlers and just run as each other and try to bite each other
With the points given it should be fairly evident that the gorilla stands no chance in a fight
