I rewatched this episode today and saw your comment. I’m not in your position at all but if I can quote Redgums song “long run”: It’ll be alright in the long run. Stay strong your daughter look up to you no matter what you think so be proud
Hey, idk if you'll see this, but I wanna say. I'm a 17 year old guy from Missouri who's struggling with his own mortality after a recent near death experience and almost losing my dad. Whenever my family goes to bed I stay up with unsub, since I don't really have any friends. Stay strong bro, we'll get through it!
Made my wife watch the first two minutes of the episode so she could understand why we bought all three autism shirts and now she wants to buy more. 😂👍
Hearing the postal inspector conversation reminded me of traumatic experience with their TAC team. I was employed by a small oil and gas company for almost a year when the owner disappeared, along with millions of investor money. I hadn't been paid in three months so I briefly worked nights at a local Denny's. One day after work around 1pm, I was sleeping and woke to the sound of quiet knocking. At my front door was man and woman dressed in suits. They called me by my boss's name and asked me to step outside. I had no idea who they were so I just told them my actual name and told them I had no idea where he was. I abruptly closed the door because I was sleepy and irritated having to deal with whatever my former boss was involved with. Two days later around the same time of day, I wake up to someone pounding on my door. It definitely wasn't knocking and it sounded like someone was trying to break the door. I grabbed my pistol and shouted that I was armed. It was a bad part of town so it wasn't the first time I'd seen someone breaking in a house in broad daylight. The pounding stopped, so i peaked out the peephole and saw a full SWAT team outside. They began shouting orders for me to open the door and to keep my firearm visible but aimed down. I still had no idea who they were or what it was about, but I felt like I had no choice to comply. I opened the door and before I knew it I was on the ground and restrained. They identified themselves as postal inspectors and after clearing the house, the man and woman from two days ago entered. They once again called me by my boss's name and I just about lost it. They did a good job of calming me down enough to tell them where my wallet was and they were able to confirm my identity. TAC team left and I had a two hour conversation with the inspectors. Turns out my former boss was in deep crap. Mail fraud, tax fraud, and many other charges even including petty theft. He changed his mailing address to mine and that's why they came looking for him. They warned me that the IRS would come to visit too. Sure enough, two weeks later I learned that the IRS has a TAC team too. Fast forward two months, and my former boss's wife calls me to check on the oil company. She had no idea it had collapsed. I asked her where they moved to and she told me the address so I could forward mail to them. Only thing I forwarded was the address to the postal inspectors and IRS. Funnily enough, when you make enough money, jail time can be avoided on occasion. He was put on a payment plan and spent one week in jail. I am still furious that both agencies put me through all that and just slapped his wrist. I had to go testify at court 7 hours away from where I lived three times as well. Fun times.
I live around the Macdill AFB, a B2 flew directly over my house one time. Not only was it surprisingly low, but I didn’t hear it until it was directly overhead and it made the craziest sound. Super sick experience

Listening to you guys makes me feel like a kid again, when my Dad and a couple others would share the funniest & wildest stories from their military or construction/demolition or biker days & I hung on every word. He was in the Navy as a BT on the Kearsarge during Korea. I joined the Navy because of him, I wanted to have stories like he did. A few months ago I was able to show my Dad a couple shorts from both HabitualLinecrosser & The FatElectrician and he laughed his ass off (he liked Grandpa Buff a lot) . We lost him on April 3rd this year to cancer. I want to thank you guys for sharing your stories and humor with us, and for all the good youve done and still do for so many people.

The thing that happened in Russia was an Orphan source. Kyle Hill has a video on the exact details but basically, the radioactive thing was a super long term battery for an important light on a remote outpost. It got lost in transit to the outpost and then the hunter guys found it. Terrible situation all around and it shows that we need to treat nuclear energy with respect and extreme caution.

Not gonna lie, you talk about your son all the time and seeing him come on made my eyes start to water. Too sweet and such a smart young man. Goddamn, who left these onions out.
The fact that Nick brought the family from New Zealand is awesome. I’ve been watching their channel for about a year, so it would be great to see them on the podcast or at the range
Great opening to the video. Your son is awesome, Eli. My oldest is 23 and on the spectrum. Thank you for using your platform to support organizations who support our kids.
As someone who grew up with mental disabilities and got treated like garbage by my parents, it warms my heart, knowing that there's good ones out there.
1:48 damn that message from Eli and Ryden was so touching makes me happy I ordered full metal spectrum and tism touch shirts yesterday I was diagnosed with autism at 34 and I’ve spent the past year learning a lot about myself…and the a-10 warthog
My dad was in Korea and my Grandpa was in WWII. Both Army. They died before I was an "adult" before I understood anything. Before I could thank them and know why. I wished they were still here because I have so many questions I wish I could ask them.
Father of a full spectrum warrior, thanks Eli. Her super power is memorizing and reciting everything she sees or hears. Used to quote anime and wild kratts. Now, she quotes Fat Electrician videos in civics class.
Eli is always so humble and respectful, and he thanks us alot. I hope this message reaches the boys. Because it`s our time to say thanks. I am a Norwegian Viking at 41. I have lost my family , many years ago. I lowered my own mom down in the grave. I survived a brain stroke later due to stress and more. I wish i hadnt survived. Now at 41 years old, i have no friends. If the year was a good year, i might see one person. After that i will wait until next year to see if anyon shows up. The last 15 years i have spent every 365 days on my own. Eli have inspired me alot, alongside with the rest of the "crew" I keep the podcast running and pretend i hade real friends like you guys. Atleast by having this on in the background i can almost start to feel like a real human being. The friendship between the boys are a very rare and it seems to be just as strong as well. May you all find what your looking for on this Journey, i hope you all will find true Happiness . Forgive me for the long txt. I just wanted to say thank you to all of you.
My wife former postal worker. Told me that the postal inspectors will pretty much set you up if the suspect theft even going as far as dropping a quarter in the lobby. And if you pick it up your fired
Great job. Do me a favor, if you ever get the chance, spread the word to others about your story. Maybe it'll keep one more person from getting addicted. Or you may be the inspiration for someone else who needs it to help them. Good luck and if you stumble keep getting back up
@user-gr7sq8lr2f thank you man that really helps me stay motivated. I'm 26 and have been taking pain pills since I was 16. I hid it for years but the harder you try to hide things eventually the truth comes out. My gf broke up with me in February and that was the reality check I needed to get healthier. I'd glady share my story to anyone who may need it. Most people recommended me not quiting cold turkey but I disagree and I'm really trying to push myself. As cliche as it sounds if I can do it after a decade of substance abuse then I believe others can too.
The amount of inspiration I get from this podcast is insane. When I was going through rough patches you guys gave me the laughs to push through and even make me try my hand at creating a podcast to push the same kind of content and feeling to help more people in the same boat. Keep it up guys
As an Airmen deploying in Army billets, I had my first experience on a Army gun range and loved it. To see the target actually drop vs shooting a paper silhouette is so much better.
Phew. I'll be 40. I am waaay passed that military cutoff age (at least in today's military). TFE can talk my ear off but I'm too thick headed to nod and agree. Great to see Rydan at the start. We all know you're a great dad, Eli. This just really pushes it to the next level of 'World's Best Dad'.
Thank you for allowing us to meet Raiden. Your family's journey mirrors my own, and we enjoy seeing the exposure and positivity that comes from a different outlook(especially from some cut throats/mouthy vets). Clarification: I'm not a Vet, but heavy respect...certainly to the 2x MOH recipient.😉
The most fun I’ve ever had on a stress shoot was at Hood while in 1ID, we ran through a storm sewer to a ladder into a building, climb a few staircases and a second ladder to the roof and dispatch 3-5 targets at 200m with our designated weapons.
Eli and Matt are great dads! Inspiring and wholesome start to the podcast with Eli. And Matt protecting his family both in person and online. Much respect.
Eli thank you so much for your dedication to being a businessman, a father, and an entertaining and awesome person. Happy to see you love ryden so much and to support him all the way 🙏
I’m still active duty and my son (almost 2 years old) is currently being tested cuz they believe he’s on the spectrum, this is seriously super inspiring and cool to see and I want to say thank you for what you do. I of course bought 2 shirts just to show my appreciation
Getting them into therapy as early as possible is great. Depending on your state be careful with ABA bc it's tied to CPS and they are staffed by liberal women. Had one who wrote an anonymous report about me for owning guns and having beer at my house.
My wife bought a shirt for me and some stickers. My oldest son has mid-range autism. He just turned 18 last month. We saw y'all in San Antonio and look forward to seeing y'all live again.
I love how absolutely genuine they are about loving their jobs and loving the fans that let them do their jobs. I’ve never felt so loved and not to even have been at the show. Have to go someday for sure.
Damnit Eli with that opening, I'm at work and almost started crying. I have a few issues and struggle with social ques and social skills, my daughter is a little over 2 and I'm terrified she'll be like me and have social issues that don't get helped until her late teens like me. Being able to see you in dad mode, even that little bit, and see how easily he's able to show himself and talk even though you've said before he's not interested speaks volumes of how great you are, and how much I hope I can be with her. Love the show, you guys always make me laugh and get through my day.
Eli, the “nuclear” thing you guys were talking about are Soviet Era, Beta-M Thermoelectric Generators. They were used to power remote lighthouses and radio communication stations. When the USSR collapsed, they were essentially “orphaned”, and locals break them open looking for scrap to use or sell, and they have zero idea what they are. The consequences you guys briefly spoke about. There’s lots of similar stories, and they typically don’t end well.
And the specific event happened in Lia, Georgia. It's scary that after the event, the IAEA launched a search throughout the country and found hundreds of other RTGs that were abandoned after the soviet collapse, and it's possible that there's more today.
Thanks Eli you got me crying bro that was the sweetest thing ever I feel like I got an emotional sucker punch right there I wasn't expecting that wholesome intro
Ho. Lee. Shit. The very first time I watch an episode (pile on later), I'm greeted by an amazing young man that automatically stole my heart. My son Carter is on the spectrum. I'm the only constant he's ever known in his life. He's my hero. God bless you and your family! Much love from the Arkansas Ozarks!
Awe!! My friend's daughter was diagnosed non-verbal autistic and she had a SHIT therapist/pediatrician and they never recommended sign language?!! Like wth?! They've been doing that forever because it helps so much usually. Well.. my sister is deaf, so I started to teach her and after 2 days she knew all the basic signs, every sign for foods that she liked, water, use the bathroom, too loud, hot, cold, sleepy, bed, bath, movie, colors, numbers, yes, no.. lots of others, but she just soaked it in. Her frustration overload stopped. She was so much happier! She even hugged me, and she didn't hug anyone. ❤ But it's like I told my friend, "she KNOWS what she wants, she just can't tell you! That would piss me off too!" But she'd been told that ASL wouldn't help her because she "wouldn't understand." I helped her find a better doctor, and 8 years later... she can speak and only has overload issues in big crowds or when she's really tired. She's the best kid, though! Just makes me so mad that she spent those couple years dealing with a doctor that didn't care enough to help the kid and get her an accurate diagnosis
Eli Eli Eli..... Thank you for blessing us with that majestic intro. Ryden (I hope I got your name correct) you are incredibly smart and fast with your witts young man. I now truly see exactly why your dad speaks so highly of you.
Eli you made me cry bro, as an autist myself who knows when I have a kid they have an 88% chance of being autistic and has been a teacher for autistic kids, that little clip gave me hope that one day I could be a good parent.
He made me cry as well. For the same reason. I don't know my % but I know they're higher than ehen I was in my 20s With that mindset you're going to be a good dad. I have no doubts about that. I talked with my therapist and said I had a concern of being a good dad. She said any man who is genuinely thinking about what he needs to do, what kind of father he wants to be and strives to be a better man will be the best father possible. She said having 3 kids and her husband and family who had that mindset like you mentioned is who is a good example of what dad's should be. Eli is a great example of this. I hope to see in the comments when you have your first child. I hope you see the post when I do. Hopefully sooner than later for us both. Have a great weekend. You got this. No matter the challenges. You are clearly the dude who will face them and grow from them. 🙏

This podcast is the heart of America. Thank you all.
A very fine machine of war 💪
I had no idea those went hand in hand lol!
@@Ragingroxes some people like trains I like things that go brrrt
@@Chef_GrrFaceI wish I could love a comment. Cause SAME!
@dayvvalker337 Train that goes brrrt?
ELI!!! Your kid is absolute coolest kid ever!!!
My dad was in Korea and my Grandpa was in WWII. Both Army. They died before I was an "adult" before I understood anything. Before I could thank them and know why. I wished they were still here because I have so many questions I wish I could ask them.
Love Eli says "show your superpowers" and is just SUCH an awesome dad.. like knew that from his stories but seeing it.
Father of a full spectrum warrior, thanks Eli. Her super power is memorizing and reciting everything she sees or hears. Used to quote anime and wild kratts. Now, she quotes Fat Electrician videos in civics class.
Please tell me she quotes him word for word!
@SuperLane omg, I REALLY hope so!
would love to witness the day communism comes up in class 😆
It's nice of Matt to come one and help out the smaller channels.
The last 15 years
i have spent every 365 days on my own.
Thank you for that intro that was very heartwarming. That is the best part of this entire podcast episode.
As someone who works for one of those delivery services, we were told under no circumstances to deliver to mailboxes. Learn something new every day!
Having Habitual Line Crosser is a great reoccurring guest.
I agree. I hope one day they get grandpa buff on the podcast lol.
Seeing him be a dad is a treat i didnt know i needed today... he's such a great dad❤
We need more of Eli’s dad side. That’s awesome, love this channel.
My wife former postal worker. Told me that the postal inspectors will pretty much set you up if the suspect theft even going as far as dropping a quarter in the lobby. And if you pick it up your fired
The first 2 minutes of this video hit deeper than any moment in all of your podcasts. Eli, you are awesome bro!
Just over a month into quitting opiates cold turkey. Trying to better myself. These podcasts while running really helps the mind. Thank you Eli!
Congrats! Keep it up. It sounds like you're doing an awesome job.
Great job. Do me a favor, if you ever get the chance, spread the word to others about your story. Maybe it'll keep one more person from getting addicted. Or you may be the inspiration for someone else who needs it to help them. Good luck and if you stumble keep getting back up
You will never escape the taste and the urge you just move past it and focus on the future
Hell yeah man I'm about 8 months sober now, and I understand exactly what you mean about these videos helping your mind
That intro broke my heart especially when Eli was going through those affirmations with his son. Love you guys and thanks for all the great content
Phew. I'll be 40. I am waaay passed that military cutoff age (at least in today's military). TFE can talk my ear off but I'm too thick headed to nod and agree. Great to see Rydan at the start. We all know you're a great dad, Eli. This just really pushes it to the next level of 'World's Best Dad'.
Oh snap, G'DAY LIL MAN!!! Great to meet ya, hear wonderful things mate!
I need some more habitual linecrosser on this podcast. Also I can see Eli showing through his son and it is awesome.
This podcast has helped me through some low points in life I’m sure I’m not alone. Also that beginning section you can tell Eli is a great dad.
Nic is the type of person we need to teach history.
Eli, props to you on how you are as a father. The world needs more men like you.
The most fun I’ve ever had on a stress shoot was at Hood while in 1ID, we ran through a storm sewer to a ladder into a building, climb a few staircases and a second ladder to the roof and dispatch 3-5 targets at 200m with our designated weapons.
That intro was absolutely amazing.
Eli and Matt are great dads! Inspiring and wholesome start to the podcast with Eli. And Matt protecting his family both in person and online. Much respect.
Dude the first part with your son is really awesome! Savants literally have superpowers. Your son is awesome! Happy for yall
That's awesome seeing Eli and his boy thanking everyone that helps support the channel
Love that New Zealand couple and their family videos!
dude that intro with ur son man that hit hard in the feels for real. so proud of you as a father!!!!!
I love seeing Eli being the Amazing Father we all know he is. The affirmations was awesome. Youre a good Father Eli and good role model.
Seeing Eli and Ryden was so wholesome 🥺
I love how absolutely genuine they are about loving their jobs and loving the fans that let them do their jobs. I’ve never felt so loved and not to even have been at the show. Have to go someday for sure.
Yup! I was that guy in the comments section proud Nick got you to quit the Army. Always great to see you, HLC!
Great job Eli. Love to see another dad who's proud of his family
Also. Straight up. The special messages make my heart feel full.
Kyle Hill does a great video on it.
I was about to comment this, but luckily read the comments first. RTGs is what they're called, I think... Radioisotope Thermoelectric Generators.

Thanks Eli you got me crying bro that was the sweetest thing ever I feel like I got an emotional sucker punch right there I wasn't expecting that wholesome intro
Heck yeah! Nice and early to listen to the boooys! 🇿🇲 Also that intro with your son was so sweet. Those affirmations are wonderful
I'm not crying. you're crying! So wholesome.
1) (sniff sniff)
2) are you crying?
1) (sniff) no, you’re crying
2) (sniff sniff)
Ho. Lee.
I love the intro!! You can see how proud Eli is ❤
Eli Eli Eli.....
Thank you for blessing us with that majestic intro.
Ryden (I hope I got your name correct) you are incredibly smart and fast with your witts young man.
I now truly see exactly why your dad speaks so highly of you.
Those super powers are amazing! Best part of my day thus far! Thank you!
Eli you made me cry bro, as an autist myself who knows when I have a kid they have an 88% chance of being autistic and has been a teacher for autistic kids, that little clip gave me hope that one day I could be a good parent.
He made me cry as well. For the same reason. I don't know my % but I know they're higher than ehen I was in my 20s
With that mindset you're going to be a good dad.
We need some UnSub artwork with Nick, Cody, and Brandon as Hobbits, and Eli as Gandalf the Brown weidling a shovel.
I could make that happen.
Doooooo iiiiiiiiittttttt
I’d buy that
