i love it !! Great vidéo, as always !!! Great people and good spirit !! Quote of the day : I got an ashtray, and I don t even smoke !!
High, Globe-Rider is the answer for all Enduro-riders. Kindly Fiete
5 F800GS. Now why doesn't that surprise me? It runs rings around the 107hp 1200GS Adventure. And, most importantly, it's beautiful. 😁 Gorgeous machine.
Love it !!
Exceptional again....I wonder how well the little DR650 went.....All I can here it saying..."is this the roughest road you got?, easy.....seriously the big BMW's are a nice bike but too heavy in some places unless you are a very confident rider. Interesting watching this video in 2021, the trend is now to have soft panniers as they absorb impacts better and less chance of breaking a leg when the bike falls on you....been there done that.
I cannot imagine why 12 viewers didn’t like this video. It’s another great video by Sterling. The only way it could’ve been better is if Eva was there.
Congrats for quality and contents of the vídeos. Interaction with local children are a particular kindness sample of good hearted people!
Even though its something I will never be able to afford to go on its still very enjoyable to watch. Thanks
Sterling !
Awesome Video and thrilling adventure.👍
Sweet adventure 👍 filmed very well
I swear I’ve seen this before! Still wish I could go
Fantastic 👍👍👍
When will the next part be available Sterling...?
Looking forward to it.
More to come shortly - from Africa and elsewhere.
Leave it to the attorney to not be able to give a straight answer regarding where he’s from...allegedly! 😂
EDIT: And for course the CEO is on the cell phone.
so what’s something like this cost?
Millionars go camping!
this tour started with 16 bikes, but most of the trip I see 3 or 4 bikes riding? These folks was better off to either do a "road" only riding tour from Cape Town to Kruger Park via garden route, Richard's bay up to Kruger. Would have a much better trip, and spend more time in the towns learning history as you go along.
I read that it is dangerous between the cities, as if if you car breaks down, you are at risk of being robbed etc
1200 GS and other big Adv bikes are a dumb choice for most people for such riding. I put 45k miles on the 1200 GSA and now 54k miles on the 1190 Adv but most of it on road where the size is not an issue. For my RTW I am looking at 690 Enduro and similar. Maybe even the 390 Adv.
The 690 adventure is an excellent choice. However I would stay away from the 390. They're very flimsy and cheap. The 500 EXC-F Is another good choice. It does however require more maintenance. It's a good idea to have a fuel filter funnel. They are relatively cheap on Amazon. Some of the newer models have dual fuel filters. When traveling over seas it's good to have Spare filters. Best of luck to you sir in your travels .......
Sounds like you are living in the past, boet.
I would love to your Africa with you guys. Let me check my Penny Jar.
as a white farmer i couldnt risk it
Im sure this was a grear trip, but you really shouldnt call it an adventure. Its all so minutely planned and organised dow to the tiniest microscopic details. The only thing you didnt do was actually ride the customers bikes for them!
43:47 He doesn't want to hurt anybody's feelings but he has to think of the group? So why did you take her money then?
Knowing she's an older woman who didn't have the necessary skills or experience in the first place? Smells like a cash grab to me.
Helge spends a lot of time vetting and verifying people on their ability to take a trip like this honestly, she probably slipped through the cracks. In retrospect, had he known her level of skill, he probably would not have allowed her to go. It’s always a very difficult decision to say no to somebody who really wants to go on a trip like this.
most of these cruise ship passengers look unfit for this trip
Heh that's what I was thinking as well. But hey, that's why they pay a lot of money for all the support, logistics and security, right?
And if they have that kind of money to blow, good for them I say. I hope they enjoyed it.
MackP there is some truth in what you are saying for sure, but at least these folks are out there being on afraid to travel and see the world. Riding solo is more adventure than some people are willing to take.
