I like how the 3rd one resonates through all the notes. The last one sounded nicer when u did the song closer to bottom of it. I appreciate your video. It helps me imagine how the music for the dedication of the walls of Jerusalem sounded. So pretty.🎉
Could you please refer me to the plans you used for building your psaltery? I would love to build one myself. Name of the magazine is enough, I'll dig further. Thanks!
Is it possible to play trills? I want to compose a baroque like concert for that instrument and I am wondering if its able to play trills/mordents and similar...greetings from germany
The psaltery has been around since mediaeval times. The bowed psaltery is a recent instrument with no tradition. One should not refer to a bowed psaltery as just a psaltery, as that is misleading. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bowed_psaltery
Masterworks, James Jones, Song of the Wood, Westman Instruments, Rick Long, and also MusicMakers sells both a Psaltery and a Psaltery kit if you’d like to construct your own Psaltery. Some of these makers aren’t building large quantities of these so you may have to custom order a Psaltery. There also may be other builders that I don’t know about.
The psaltery you built sounds and looks amazing.
Wow you built that?! Amazing.

I really like the psaltery you built. The spacing between each string looks a bit wider than most, looks like you could pluck it easier like a lyre.
I think the BP you built sounded/recorded the best, I hope to hear you play it more!

Wow! You received a comment from Gregg Schneeman! What a great video! I hope to see more!

Have you tried these techniques using a bow in each hand? You’d have to mount your Psaltery to a tripod, of course.
Good job!
