Slyph, you're producing great music more consistently than usual. You're different from many other artists I know of. at the beginning, no offence, but you weren't that good. You released songs after song, until you hit "A Toast for Glaze". You may have screwed up the title of that song, but it was your first exceptional work that actually had me impressed (It takes a lot to make me impressed). Then you did "Octavia's Overture", which was another truly amazing piece. Then you released eargasmic pieces over and over and over again, to become the amazing artist you are today. Also, you seem to know just how to make people buy your music instead of pirating it. By using a horrible compression on your videos, you force people to buy it in 320 mp3's or FLAC, so they can listen to your music in all of it's glory!!! Funny thing is, I thought out that system before I discovered you. Please, continue releasing amazing music, so you can continue to climb up in my list of favorite artists.
I'm no musician, but personally I think it sounds a lot better at 1.25x speed. At least the chorus does anyway. Also the vocals seem a little less good than usual, mostly just at the one high note. Anyway, still an awesome song!

You really got the cover balance down right. Definitely familiar as the same song, but also very definitely not close enough that there's no point in covering at all.
(Written while listening for first time) I finally tore myself back off of Glaze's channel to resume listening to your- whoa. This is a radical change from what I'm used to, especially from you. Ah, nice total music dead moment, there. Very unexpected, very well-done. Ah, man. This is fantastic. The lyrics aren't over-dramatic or overdone, and the subtle riffs and vocals are very good at carrying with the bass. It doesn't feel repetitive at all, and there's a definite power ballad feel here. Man. That bass, the subtle vocals, the higher vocals, the synth trumpet (I'm guessing), it all just comes together perfectly. I've often said Black Metal has fantastic bass and terrible vocals. The time you give to the bass almost reminds me of some of the softer Black Metal I've heard, and yet it's in a song with fantastic vocals and lead guitar. Leading up to 3 minutes, gets a sort of synth Megaman-style rock sound, and pulls it off perfectly. And then, up to 3:30, a sort of synth-guitar solo, and that synth guitar sticks around all the way to the end, I see. Awesome performance, Slyph. Never repetitive, every single component executed well, and then put together in a way where they all complement. I felt the lead vocals were the weakest part, but that may just be personal preference (I felt like they should have been synthesized slightly because the singer's voice didn't harmonize perfectly with the guitar). Overall, top-shelf work, again. I should never have waited this long to hear it.

Since Miracle of Sound does a lot of video game songs, I was expecting this to be about The Dark Descent. It wasn't. Amazing, We all love you Slyph.
