- We're back with another look at some Trak Racer gear, this time the TR8 Pro takes the stage! A mid-tier full size simulator, with both a chair and monitor stand involved for good measure.
The first steel-pipe constructed sim racing cockpit we've given the review treatment on Traxion.GG, Rich delivers the full low-down on how easy it is to build how how stable it is to use.
Fitting between the budget-oriented RS6 and flagship TRX, the TR8 Pro is currently available for £575. We also tested this with the £279 GT chair and £55 integrated single monitor stand. To test this equipment, we used the direct drive MOZA R9 base, GS Formula wheel and SR-P pedals.
It's also worth noting that it is compatible with the ginormous Trak Racer ecosystem of optional parts.

Yep, got one and love it. Super sturdy and zero complaints. There's plenty of accessories and upgrades to buy and install too, complete with triple screens and I absolutely love it.

Hey, just a quick one. The plates you have either side of the seat attaching it to the rig are the wrong way. I have one and made the same mistake at first. The 3 holes should be at the back of the seat and the more and the front to increase pitch for a f1 style setup
At 6:48, regarding the monitor size support by the stand, diagonal can be quite misleading when it is taken out of context of the aspect ratio. If we theoretically calculate, a 70" 16:9 monitor will be 155 by 87.2 cm, whereas the same 70" but 32:9 monitor will be 171.2 by 48.1 cm, which makes for quite a substantial (almost twice) difference in height with comparatively little difference in width. Again, it's all theoretical, because the largest 32:9 monitor currently on the market is 49", so it's either "futureproof" or irrelevant.
If I would like to put a 2/ 49in ultra wide can I use my own versa mount so I have more or a immersive perspective or am I stuck with the single monitor option ?

Man, every single review of this rig complains about the PDF manual but that is what I *VASTLY* prefer. A PDF is forever and searchable.

How does this frame work with shorter people? I'm 5'6" (168cm) and want to make sure the wheel won't be mounted too high. I love the look of this frame when compared to the extrusion frames, but I worry about the wheel height since the baseplate cannot be adjusted.
Would the monitor stand hold a 43" screen?

I have TR8 and use fanatec V3s now. The pedal plate is fine, but has very slight movement.. I think it should be ok right?

I’m trying to decide between this and a ASR3. Does anyone have any experience with the monitor stand? Is it solid while playing?
How tall are you? I often read that the Wheelbase is mounted way too high. Did you feel the same?
I just got one. I'm 189cm tall and I find the wheel deck too high at the middle height setting. I think anyone under 170 or has a shorter torso would struggle.

Do you remember how tall the smallest person you recommend is? Is it suitable for my 140cm child? The Trak racer wrote that it is suitable from120cm, but I'm afraid only because of the sale.
Is that an 8nm DD wheelbase? Looks like a nice rig. Problem with the integrated monitor stand is you can't get the monitor as close as many people would like

The TR8 Pro is the newer one who where optimized.

I can almost not inmagine there is no flex in this. Specually compared to a aluminium frame rig.
