No Drummer has been able to play this old school shuffle the way John did it, other than John Coghlan himself, It makes such a difference beyond belief! with respect to all the other drummers, johns style makes everybody else sound boring!
I am an old US hippie and just discovered this band (shame on me) and now I cannot stop watching all their stuff. And Rick Parfitt and really all of them just kill it. Wish I had been with it back in the day - but I gottem now!!!
One of the greatest moments in rock history. The connection to the audience is unreal. From the first note, everybody is going nuts. And this in 2013! :-) One more proof that those 4 guys are a force beyond compare when they play together. This must have been an unbelievable experience.
I was at this gig, the one the following year there too. I totally agree, they had a musical chemistry that was lost after John then Alan "left". It was a real kick from the past seeing them together again especially since the chemistry was still there
I was at the final flig Dublin, after 1st seeing quo end of the road 1984 I'm into quo since 1975 ,I was only 7 years old when it happened for me I'm 56 this year, going to Belfast in 2 weeks time probably my last quo gig
I was a mega Quo fan as a teen in the early 70s. I got to see them at their peak in New Zealand in 1976. I next saw them at Reading 1987, Nordins Robins Trust Milton Keynes 1990 and finally at Wembley (free ticket) around 2000 . I could have gotten a ticket to see the final ever performance of the Frantic 4 in Dublin 2014, but I couldnt bring myself to do it I must admit Alans vocals were better than expected, but to see him physically suffering and stuck in one spot was sad. Status Quo were a major influence on my musical journey but it was In the Army now onwards where my obsession rapidly dropped. Nice job on the filming though
I saw John Coglans Quo about a year before this happened, he was talking later in the night about something coming up in the near future, but he couldn't say what. It was this.
This proves that TIME TRAVEL does exist! This gives me the exact amount of goosebumps all over again as when I bought the double live album in the seventies. GREAT GREATER GREATEST !!!! Thanks for this lupload full of emotions!!! 👍🤘😎🇳🇱
It's great to see that even the mighty Quo are human and can f*%k up here and there.... I was at their Glasgow show in March 2013.... I lived in the Los Angeles area at the time and flew to England to see the Frantic Four and meet two of my dear English friends from the time I lived in England...... thanks for being gracious hosts Tim M. in Woodstock and Clive P. in Rotherham.. I live near Melbourne in Australia now and have my own band project UnnRooLee.... I'm 64 but ain't giving up... I still wanna "Make It"
Meat and Potatoes Rock n Roll just feeds the soul. It’s why bands like Quo and AC/DC will be loved for ever. Little Richard recordings from the 50’s and 60’s still sound more exciting and vibrant than music today. It actually still sounds “dangerous” compared to all the fake angsty bullshit from sad little boys, thinking their intense.
Sometimes ..I just need mindless rock n roll. Quo does it, original line up...I became drummer because of John, done stuff, heart felt ..I was 11 years, Live Album ....well I am South London boy! I connected !!
Блин да неужели я помню так между делом альбом развернул одни гривы ну патлы диск виниловый был настолько востребован в 70 е годы приходилось ставить спичечный коробок чтобы иголка звукоснимателя плавно шуршала на стерео
Francis talks about mistakes... Well John's mistake leading into the solo and Frame's mistake on the solo actually makes this the best version I've heard. Funny that
@@Bananenbennie well, again, he is the one that could be easiest replaced if required. You see what they turned into under him. Especially once Spud and Nuff left.
The drummer's right.......shit.....🙂 It's a shame though that Rick's voice is letting him down in Big Fat Mama, looking out to Francis and the punters to help him out. Eventually the punters relief him in the last chorus.
@redrheino I noticed it also on Rain, but if you haven't already come across it yet, check out Status Quo on Midnight Special in 1974 doing Big Fat Mama. It was only uploaded in the past month and is absolute Gold dust. However, Rick really really struggled again with the vocals

So great to hear Alan's vocals again. Indeed, every section on equal standing, banging out Quo boogie rock.

The best rock band between 71 and 81, untouchable..
Rest in peace rick 8 years today
Oh my God, they really Knows how to play rock and roll!
Best line up ever. Original Quo nobody comes close. Rip Rick And Alan 🎸 🤘 🍻

I agree. He’s fluid and can really rock when he wants to
It's just "Better" can't put my finger on it nor define it but it just is.✌️
Great memories

I never knew this existed, nor that the originals all got back together for this. So awesome. Thanks for the upload.
Childhood memories of my favorite band.64 now and keep rocking

Fantásticos, irrepetibles, ojalá hubiese podido estar allí...
Absolute magic. 30 years lost.

I was there.
Only ever one quo,no tribute bands come even close
Awesome sound.. is this off the desk?
The real mc quo!
No Quo WITHOUT Parfitt.
@@koekelmetperen and Coghlan
How Rossi must of hated the other 3 members being more popular.
at hammersmith the crowd were going crazy for lancaster
is this Young the producer in harmonica ?
Yes Bob Young
Spud the guvnor
😾👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🐈
As brutal as it sounds, the one who's actually really replaceable, if one of them is, is Rossi himself!
no
@@Bananenbennie yes he is!
