- A curious couple on holidays in Tasmania in 1964 visit Parliament House where they are intrigued by a tiger on the state’s coat of arms.
Their search for the Thylacine begins at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery where they meet Dr William Bryden.
He directs them to the University of Tasmania to meet zoologist and Thylacine expert, Dr Eric Guiler, who believes the extinct animal still exists in the wild country of South-West Tasmania.
The couple’s research leads them to a remote zoo in Northern Tasmania where they meet Mr Mont Turner who once saw the tiger alive.

So much to enjoy in this, yet still so sad because of what we've lost and are losing. Also, hooray for Libraries Tas and the State Archives. What a treasure they are.
Fifty years from now, if our species survives climate change, we'll be watching videos of how we destroyed our native forests and lost the swift parrot due to greed, short sighted politicians, and apathetic people.
Awesome film - sad to see those Holden cars now also extinct! We have lost so much.
Never mind the Tasmanian Tiger what about the Tasmanian Devils at 9:52
Never existed !!
