Newfangled Saturate is my fave. Along with Standard Clip. My worst is Plugin Alliance because it ruins the stereo image and Gold Clip does nothing for me, besides distort everything.
Would be (more) interesting to see/hear an actual shootout between those, to see which one does the best job (or at least how different they sound/react.
My most used is Flatline 2 - it's hard to imagine a better sounding clipper for me right now. But I need to try softube's new clipper - many people say it has some sound to it, it adds something more + you can load it inside C1 I think... I've never tried Goldclip. Clipper in Limiter No.6 sounds a bit harsh and "digital" to me especially when compared to Flatline 2 which is sounding very pleasant and natural.
@2probeats for someone it is good and for someone it is bad. It tries to convince us that it sounds like lavry, but uses tools that the original device does not have.
@ELLIOT8209 yes. Just leave ur master bus empty. Bounce ur mix. Even if it clips. You will see in the wave file of the bounced mix the chopped transients.
Gold Clip is my go to as well as a mastering engineer. But Standard Clip gets good use when I need a less coloured clip. Both are so good.
Standard Clip for me
That’s solid

Saturate is top!
What about Acustica ASH? It'd be good to see it up against Gold Clip?
Do they still have that lag and huge size?
@@2probeatsstill have lags but the algorithm is heavy and it sounds goood

That’s an idea I want to explore in the near future where I put just two plugins in a battle, compare their features and do a sound comparison.

How is goldclip on processing compared to standardclip?
KClip3 and FreeClip2 (free) holding it down for me on every mix. But to each their own.
For some reason I don’t get along with KClip and it’s one my first clippers
Check out Flatline 2. Sounds better than any other clipper (seriously). And has a better ui than gold clip
Is that the one that looks like fabfilter?
high sampling rate on standard clip solves all issues)
What issues? Standard clip has little to no issues
I thought all clippers are the same. Soft knee and hard knee, that's all.
Why Gold is better for you?
Like I’ve said in the beggining of the video it’s subjective - workflow - ease of use - extra featuresc etc
They're not. Try comparing and you'll see they don't sound the same.
Gold clipper is clipper with some eq curves, that's it.
And that’s bad or good?

ALL ABOUT TASTE AND FAVOURITE .. ALSO WONDER WHY CLIPPERS ARE NOW A NEW TREND BECAUSE IT AS ALWAYS BEEN THERE...
Yes sir. Maybe we did all the content and clipping was next 😂
@@2probeats
@@2probeats Handsome man..😂
Arturia Bus PEAK (also released in 2024) would like a word.
I have included that one in my other video 🫡
@@2probeats Yup, and you seemed to like it a lot in that video. So I'm wondering why didn't it make the cut for this video?
Standard Clip all day
You missed classic clipper by ik multimedia
It's not as versatile as any of these plugins. Quite basic.
@OverdriveMusic yeah but it sounds amazing to me
Every DAW has got a build in clipper
Studio One?
