He who does not imagine in stronger and better light than his perishing mortal eye can see, does not imagine at all. - Blake
I cannot think of a better quote from an artist.

I'm sure that Blake was using Opium or mushrooms. If you have read Thomas de Quincey's Confessions of an Opium eater you will understand.

Wonderful thank you for posting - I came to Blake through Neville Goddard & they both see the bible as instruction for life - that god is within & that is our imagination - your senses are the after effects of what you have imagined. Simple but not easy.........

It is a wonderful blueprint for life. Its full of wisdom, compassion, mercy and in sense of kindness knows no shame, it is a right and just way to live in the fruits of the spirit. Its non condescending and nonjudgmental when you study the life of Jesus. Jesus Christ to me was a rebel, radical long haired hippie. He was forgiving and humble. Jesus Christ being the son of God is debatable but it , again for me the Bible and my imagination is what keeps me humbled ☮️✝️🙏🐩

    Blake was an awakened being.
To know him is to understand the Bible as Sacred history.
My dears , cease from all this human dissecting.
Albion to Blake stood for Universal man not ye old England.
Blake fully understood that God is man's very Imagination.
    He spoke in parables.
Everything he said was true... all based on his understanding of the Bible which was written in allegory.
This world is but a shadow.
    Awake, awake thou that sleepest.
Know Me for who I Am
    A Man...God is no more
Your own humanity learn to adore.

The music at 26:55 is a dead ringer for the intro to Omega Amigo by the Shamen, which feautures a sample from THX1138 in which Robert Duvall converses with a computerised divinity. Unlikely, but an inspired choice if true.

Jah Wobble's a vastly superior reader of Blake to the hammy actors you normally hear on these kinds of documentaries.

Hi Sable, yes, I’m a long time fan of Tangerine Dream; really enjoyed the Tyger album. If you’re not familiar with it, may I suggest a CD, The Inspiration of William Blake, by Jah Wobble, (who is a huge Blake fan). It’s really interesting to hear his musical take on Blake’s poems.

No, no, no !!! It is not Blake's famous poem Jerusalem that was set to music at the beginning of the XXth century, it is a hymn you can find in the preface of Milton A Poem!

Blake's baptism is described as almost the last time he enters an established church. He then, as a teen, has the formative experience of months spent copying tombs in Westminster Abbey... Rather sloppy narration.
