- Gearing up for my first ever Camino and thought I'd list all the gear I'm taking as a photographer. I know I'll make some mistakes in what I'm bringing, but we'll learn along the way! My pack weight is about 28lbs and yes I understand that's on the heavy side. I am very used to carrying well over 45lbs on long hikes due to the nature of my job.

You know I cant leave home without it 😂
Safe travels Matt! You'll love our Merino.. Wool Works!
I was on the Camino first and left the water filter at home, and I didn't need it. I don't consider the Grayl a good filter for thru-hikes. It is too heavy, too expensive, and the individual cartridges have a short lifespan. A Sawyer Squeeze or Platypus Quickdraw are cheaper and lighter.
I wish you a nice trip and hope you are walking more than the last 63 miles because those were really not that great on the Camino Frances/Primitivo/del Norte compared to the rest. Which Camino are you walking?
What are the small bags you are using ? The clear one and the multi one ?
They small bag is a pretty generic one I found online. Just added the link to the description. Also the multi one is a filter wrap from the company Shimoda. Thanks for watching!
Can you send a link to your backpack?
First!
Ayeeeee 🤝🤝
