- Earlier today I was invited to the premiere of Destiny 2's worldwide unveiling of gameplay. I was able play the first campaign mission of Destiny 2 on PS4. Afterward I was able to play and capture footage of the Inverted Spire Strike on PS4 as well as capture the new PvP mode of Countdown. I played the Strike and New PvP mode on both PS4 and PC but I was only allowed to capture footage on PS4. This is that footage.

This new DLC for Destiny looks great! I like how they put existing enemy assets into other environments. Will be a good addition to the exisiting content in Destiny.

I can't even begin to understand all the hate for this. I mean I get that people hated the first game. It is honestly one of the most enjoyable games I've played in a long while. I agree with everyone that says the content was lacking and got dry but the mechanics of this game held it together. I'm blown away by this reveal, it looks like everything destiny should be. People's arguments for this game pretty much disqualify anything released in the last 10 years from being a good game except maybe the brand new titles.
I mean they did improve it a lot. An example is that they replace a lot of the boring repetitive layouts and jumping mechanics with different boring repetitive layouts and jumping mechanics

This looks really good. Possibly the most realistic graphics we've seen in a while, and the voice acting and level design is great. Especially Nolans, the ghost sounds like it has emotion now.

This game is going to be great- this planet and the environment looks amazing. Nice video - its all about the game👍🏻
Things that Destiny 2 need to get right: 1. Competent story-telling in single player. 2. A complete game that doesn't rely on expansions to be good. 3. Let us fly our goddamn ships. 4. No artificial difficulty via bullet sponge bosses. 5. If I spend hours grinding for legendary engrams, I want fucking legendary gear when I turn them in. 6. Interesting characters that make you want to defend Earth. 7. A longer campaign that's not completely repetitive like the first one.
Minimal Taken King was a dlc though, Bungie needs to manage all of the above for the base game. I don't want to spend another $60 after my initial purchase just to get what should have already been there
You do not want to but you will. This game will be a spin off with a boring repetitive single player campaign, with some things different in multiplayer but the idea is the same. In 3 years when all the DLCs will be out the game will be a total of 150$ spent.You will bitch about it like all of us, but you will pay it because you are addicted to it like most of us.

Hopefully they do it right this time. I loved the concept and gameplay of Destiny when I played it at my friend's house... but it felt empty. I never got the chance to pick it up and was glad I didn't. Activision absolutely cannibalized the game. Bungie may have had a hand in it too, but given that it was Activision who set the 10-year plan schedule, I'm betting it was mostly them.
*Edit:* That said, I still don't like how Bungie moved most of the in-game info onto their website just so they could get more internet traffic -_-

No it couldnt have been an expansion, in order to upgrade the graphics they had to design a completely different game engine , thats why none of the guns are coming over and thats why things look similar but different, because mostly its a sequel to improve on what was already good but also to move on so its like half-expansion half-new game

Nonzeronine so many things *are* the same. Level design doesn't feel very exciting, enemy types seriously seem like perfect re-skins of previously existing enemies, it just doesn't feel new. And I will say that this strike honestly looks like it's not half bad, but if this is the *demo*, which is supposed to be one of the best pieces, I dread to think what boring recycled content awaits us further into the game.

I like how the new Golden Gun is way more fast paced, even the shooting animation urges you to spam your shots, instead of carefully placing them and wasting your precious 5 seconds the super lasts^^ just "fan the hammer"

Surprised you have it up so early. From the multitude of channels I'm subbed to, you had this posted first. Anyway I'm hyped just because I like Destiny. It finally convinced me to save for a PC upgrade, so I can play with friends on a higher setting than low.
I will definitely be buying this game on the PC. I played the first game on my PS4, and while enjoyable, my PC just runs everything at higher settings. This game should be able to play perfectly at 1080p with an RX580.

I like how you start off with more modern weapons,then move on to the more futureish destiny weapons later.It adds on to the feel that everything really has been taken from you and you have to use every resource available to fight back.

Loving the level design here. The areas are a lot more open, a lot more creative, and definitely easier on the eyes. I like the snarkiness of Ghost, I REALLY liked the part with the drills (holy clutch, batman), and the enemy design seems pretty fantastic.
Also, the sound design is on point. Those crunchy guns are really making me want to play it.
MCZerky my only complaint is the not very visually pleasing UI, but the level design is on point, hoping for more moments like that fake mission ending where you had to run in D2, looking forward to seeing what they do with raid design though

have over 1000 hours on destiny 1 since beta till 2 months ago..what i can say is this is gonna be fun very fun, raid,trials{pvp}hopefullly story too..but once u have everything just stop and move on until the next dlc...they gonna update your fav weapons every month down to shit and then the bad things of the game are gonna piss u off a lot later{after 100 hour maybe 50?}but is gonna fun just remember THIS "dont over grind the game YOU ALWAYS CAN CATCH UP TO PEOPLE LEVELS AND SAME WITH ARMOR!..it just a bit of time someone may have a weapon u dont...the grind of this game is big but is really nothing...i move to pc now so ill be getting it on pc.

Warlocks looking pretty damn fantastic so far. We get the double circle the hunters had but off ground which means possible fire wings? We get titan bubble effects with healing and attack, and a badass sword that shoots a flame. As long as dlc isn't 50$ again they did good

hunters hunt using bow and arrow, a hunting knife and a spear (modern hunters mostly use shotguns and hunting rifles), so if you think about it it makes sense

Not exactly. The smash has significantly reduced aoe range in order to compensate for the fact that it's now a roaming super. There's also the fact that the striker still has to constantly get into spray range, in order to do damage, so he can be picked out from afar. That, paired with the fact that titans don't have any inherent mobility options, means it's pretty balanced. Compare that with the dawnblade's super, which also kills with a single shot, with the swings both having minimal negatives of dropping for the fire arcs and aoe on impact, not to mention dawnblade's inherent passive, which allows them to aim and stay in the air, and it's clear, which one is more op.
well dawnblade isn't a one kill u can easily miss with it or just move out the way
A direct hit, or in the aoe splash will 1 hit kill you from the dawn blade. They also have an aerial smash while in dawn blade, which is also a 1 shot, as well as an aerial shade step in their skill tree. In short, they have a lot of tools in their composition that rewards a high skill ceiling from close - mid range, especially with a vertical advantage.
In comparison, the titan is just decently balanced, as it's mostly still the same from destiny 1, with the exception of their super, now, being a roaming one, which still has the least amount of range. With the cover skill being okay, at best, I'm really hoping titans still retain shoulder charge or something for the mobility front, at least.
