The flawless area could be Europa as many cities were built there, we aren't getting full fleshed Europa, and Mercury wasn't a full playable area in destinys reveal. Sooo yea
The Nine have said to originate from Jovian (Jupiter) Colonies. We are going to Io, on of Jupiter's moons. In Destiny One, we went to Mercury for the Light House. Since Mercury isn't in the near vicinity of Our most current locations, we will probably be facing the Trials of the Nine because we are near their original colonies. Europa/Jupiter/Io. I'm hoping we see Europa as one of those off planets we visit sometimes like Mercury in Destiny One.

On a side note, I hope that they do not repeat the exclusivity of location to flawless, but only do so with weapons and emblems and maybe a shader. I think if you do that, you will put a damper on people who don't want to be in Trials, but are desperate for the location/grimoire involved.
I'm hearing a lot of conflicting reports on energy weapons and how they deal damage to supers. Do you need an energy weapon of the same element to do the extra damage, or is it really just any energy weapon will do the extra damage?

It's cool there's a super horseshit competitive mode in Destiny, I've gone to the Lighthouse time and time again in year one, once in year 2 and it looks like year 3 will not hold the keys to the house for me. And, I don't know what's changed in myself that I can't perform like I used to, but an idea like this brings hope into my heart for it. It would be cool, and I'm sorry if someone or everyone who reads this disagrees. But Trials turned more into who can people get to the lighthouse for their first and probably only time, nobody cares anymore about who makes it time and time again. Good questions. I think boons could exist. Maybe even do the same thing they do now but the boon of forgiveness or whats its name is gone since no losses. However, I think if you lose the first, you're out. and you match with any number of wins. I dunno. I'm not too sure, what do you think? These are the ideas players can shape a good online with as a community
Dylabee your idea would make it too easy for alot of players as well keep that in mind....imo there is no middle ground here to please both player bases. so.... either keep it the same for casuals and add a heroic version for tryhards without boons(with diffrent rewards)... or just keep it the same.
I think there is. It needs a large amount of feedback, but very little changed to humor the skilled players over Destiny 1. It requires a lot of thought, feedback and evaluation. The idea was to make it easier for everyone. Loss still has weight, but it doesn't end any one players chance to go. I see the stats and only 50% of participants go, That sounds about right, 1 team wins, 1 loses. But, that means, just like raids and such, how luke smith put it. Half of the players are not able to access this part of the end game content. And, everyone should be able to.
i wonder whats going on with stormcaller, sunbreaker, and nightstalker subclasses?? ive see variations of the original 6 we got with vanilla destiny but no gameplay footage of the new subclasses. I really like running around pretending im emperor palpatine hopefully i can still do that in destiny 2.

What about the people who only play Iron Banner? I never even touched Trials in Year 2, and only participated in Year 3 long enough to get Blind Perdition, but I still play Destiny consistently every week, and have since the beta tests. Who's to say what, if any of this, "kept the game from dying?"

In year 1 after I got most guns that I asked for or ever wanted I started to lean towards pvp but got flawless only 4 times in year 1 because I was shit, but I got better and went flawless a lot more times in year 2 and 3 :D.
I wasn't expecting that, it's surprising that they would call it Trials of the Nine, but its coherent storywise and it sounds cool, so yeah. My theory is that Osiris is part of the Nine and that instead of the lighthouse, it's going to be something like it called the Icetower that is on Europa. That's my opinion!
you're lucky to go flawless in year 3. my friends and i went flawless every weekend non stop all the way until year 3.. then we went flawless 13 times total in year 3 and we play pretty much every weekend

Osiris symbol is the first DLC. So you only unlock the DLC if you go flawless in trials of the nine. If you don't you can't save osiris in the dlc.

you're lucky to go flawless in year 3. my friends and i went flawless every weekend non stop all the way until year 3.. then we went flawless 13 times total in year 3 and we play pretty much every weekend
