I'm beginning to believe our tax returns are going to the Ukraine relief package... there's no real reason to hold your taxes for verification and still have to wait 9 additional weeks to receive your return....this is ludicrous!!!
Using Turbo Tax, my non-complicated tax return was accepted by the IRS on Jan 30. A few weeks later, I applied for my tax payer ID # and received it online. On my transcript, there are no codes, nothing-only a Feb 19 date, and I have not received any letters from the IRS. As of March 24, my return has not been processed. Never had this issue before.😑
Same for me. IRS received my tax form on 2/12. It’s 3/27 now and WMR still says Received, still processing. On IRS website says my Return is not processed. No codes or notices what’s so ever. I reviewed the recent TIGTA report and, based on what it said, it seems like the IRS made changes to my return in order to be efficient. But those changes caused issues with my return that now have to be corrected with a paper amended form. Super efficient!

I amended my tax return for the 2023 tax year and it was updated today with the following: Your account was adjusted on March 22, 2024. Within three weeks, you will receive a notice that explains the adjustment. Do you know if when the amended tax return is updated to completed will the amended amount come separately or be included with the full refund that currently is STILL in 570 hold? There is currently NO movement on my WMR status.

I made the gross error of e signing for my late spouse who died in June. Also, the IRS questioned the amount of withholding and requested copies of 1099s. Since most of the withholding was from my income, the IRS questioned large amount of refund claiming. Additional withholding had been advised by professional filer. My refund is still in limbo several weeks later. Cannot give accurate time frame.
I just noticed on my transcripts, I claimed an energy credit for a new heat pump. I paid $12379 but on the transcripts it says $1,237,900 now on my refund paperwork I printed out it says the correct amount of $12379. Could that be why mine is delayed? It's on them definitely. I was an early filler. I was part of the batch that was accepted prior to Jan 29. Shortly after I received a letter needing copies of my W2, which I faxed over thinking it would be processed quicker. Hi I watch all videos and they are very helpful in my journey since 1/30… I filed 1/30 for 12c 2/13 faxed same day 2/23 verification screen 3/1 update with 810 2/29/24 no return filed . Verify in person 3/16 and 3/22 all transcripts update but not wage. As of 4/8 150 processing 4/8 806 4/15 and the 810 still there but on my transcript I see my credit in account balance and this morning I see WMR 151 and to call and mention 1242 and just was told under review 180 … Will it really be that long ? You’re getting that code on the “where’s my refund” page. Go to irs.gov and sign in to see your transcripts, you probably have different codes on there.
That’s crazy! I have the same 152 code and I filed on the 13th of Feb. I still haven’t received any additional information besides the error code about apologizing for extra auditing. It’s been 6-7 weeks. Idk what’s going on

In a previous video, I believe someone in the comments shared the process of calling the IRS and navigating through the menus to talk to a real person. It was awhile back, somewhere in the comments section.

That’s crazy! I have the same 152 code and I filed on the 13th of Feb. I still haven’t received any additional information besides the error code about apologizing for extra auditing. It’s been 6-7 weeks. Idk what’s going on

I had the 570 and 971 codes and now it says 571 issue resolved but still no 846 code and it still has a refund freeze code. What does this mean?

What number are you calling? When I call I get the automated operator. Don't even get the option to talk to a real person
In a previous video, I believe someone in the comments shared the process of calling the IRS and navigating through the menus to talk to a real person. It was awhile back, somewhere in the comments section.
I call and then I choose option 5 I go in as if I need to talk about the insurance I put on my return 😃

I got the same one I had to call the number on the letter and made an appointment to go in and verify my identity. First they had available in my area was mid April.
I updated to code 570 lol but I hey, it’s only 60 days lol 😢
