Thank you for this, the High Elves were my first (and most loved) armies in the Warhammer tabletop game. It was super neat to see and hear this lore. Thanks ♥
The high elves are my favorite race in wh (dont judge lol) and I've searched high and low for good lore and this is my fav vid. Listening to this while i snuff out the dark forces of chaos in wh3. A good saturday. Please more like this if possible.
this is my favorite lore video about high elves, i listen to it and keep it in a loop every time i play total war warhammer or make mods about elves. I just love the story telling paired with that background music. I even used your way of telling stories as a format on my story telling presentation at school, they loved it.
Honestly one of the loveliest comments I have ever had! Thank you so much for sharing that It really means a lot to hear. I assure you I will be back with similar content soon and your kind words will help motivate me for sure!
really good telling, but gotta disagree on the narrative the are like 40k eldar (quickly fading empire), the dragons might be slumbering more and more, but the elves still exist and are a powerfull faction, or has the age of sigmar been spewing nonsense again?
Hey there! I only refer or quote lore that has been written and produced by Games Workshop just so you know! The High Elves seem resigned to their fate to fight on to the bitter end which I think is pretty cool. Thanks for your message
I don't dispute your sources, but them being in their "twilight years of their existence" and "cities no longer bustling with vibrancy and life like they used to, but now serve as a gloomy reminder of their ultimate depending demise" is more of a personal take from you I think. While the race has lost a great deal of power since the creation of vortex (a debuff to all magic everywhere), the elves are in my eyes far from in their twilight years, elves being some of the most skilled fighters and seafarers in the world. They still reign supreme in Ulthuan and the seas surrounding it, and has even opened up in diplomacy letting humans trade in Lothern (non essentials but still), and if memory serves me correct they still got outposts in Lustria and several other places in the world.
"Yet their noble and compassionate nature, which was once one of the Elves greatest and most noble character was soon replaced by a great sense of pride and hubris in their own vanity and superiority. In their blind arrogance, they've only succeeded in shattering their once powerful friendship with the Dwarfs, culminating in a Great War which only crippled these two elder races and shattered whatever bright future there was for this young world. Isolated and alone in a world they no longer control, the High Elves are facing the twilight years of their existence, their cities no longer bustling with vibrancy and life as they used to be but now serve as a gloomy reminder of their ultimate, impending demise". Page 4 of Warhammer Armies: High Elves (7th Edition). The old Warhammer books are fairly easy to find in pdf and I also link the website I use in the description.
I see, the quote checks out, I'll grant you that, I can take it you more read aloud from army books and such? rather than interpreting the lore in a more overall picture? Otherwise I would still have argued the futility of that qoute, as it would mean all other races than dwarfs and elves was any hope for the world, rendering all other "good" aligned races null, and High Elves not being alone and still had quite the relations with the world of Men, such as when they came to the aid of Marienburg and afterwards resumed trade. Oh yeah and on a side note the whole areas of the city being High Elf, meaning they lived side by side with Men.
What a magnificent creation the Warhammer Fantasy universe is! Hope you like this and I will keep working hard to improve for the next video!

Sorry for late reply! This is from the start of the timeline and then onwards. I hope that helps
the history section is basically post collapse of the polar gates up until a few hundred years before the birth of sigmar
