Yo every single actor bodied their role
Denzel set the bar high as far as Malcom X goes, this should be interesting.
Ben-Adir’s take is based, as is the film, on the play....and is wonderful. Showing the man rather than the icon, he is the stand-out in a great cast.

We always saw him as this strong militant leader...and I say we as in my Mother whom lived through the jim crow south...wont do that name the honor of capital letters...however she was an educator...and it feels great to see our men in this light...vulnerable yet strong, passionate, yet different, complex, yet relatable,...I must say I haven't met a man whose values equate these gentlemen whom have not been through any and all these struggles....I take that back..I've met plenty of black men like this in my day...and I am proud of the young men we are raising now even if popular media do not recognize it

All the actors did well in their roles. But the movie is still like a B-. It had a strong start, but then started to drag on for a long time until Sam and Malcom had their thing. Then after that it dragged on more with a decent end. The messages said in the movie were great and need to be discussed more, but the way the movie was written just contained too much unnecessary filler scenes.
This is exactly how I feel. Kinda felt like meh...Malcolm and Sam kill it... then meh again... then Sam sings lol
Yeah. I’m sure this movie might get Oscar noms for Leslie Odom JR’s performance but I feel that. It’s still a good overall movie it’s just maybe too long or not much is going on. The beginning and the end were good but and middle drags a little.

I've gotta disagree. The scene between Malcolm and Jim after the fight with Sam was my favourite in the movie. Only a man like Jim Brown could deflate Malcolm X.
