Hi Gary. Another neat ICM kit. Had a quick look at chassis photos for the Humvee and the rails look smooth with a fine weld seam along the top. Slight alignment issue on an early shot maybe, as you say. They show that line on the instructions. Maybe several manufacturers of chassis over the years with different techniques or civilian/military design differences. I bet it builds up absolutely fine. Building their Packard 12 from 2012 and the fit is really nice. (Body is split down the middle of the roof! But the seam is clean and easy to hide - added styrene sheet head lining as reinforcement). Also have their 6 x 4 Mercedes in the pile which is cool. That for the review and all your work. Cheers Matt 🦘🦘🦘

This is a nice looking kit but I think I would rather wait to see if there is one with a full cab and the sloping rear, as that is my favourite shape. As regards the chassis rails I found a picture on-line that shows that the rails are made of two substantial pressings that have smooth sides and are welded together top and bottom so there needs to be a weld line on the top and bottom of the frames. This said the Hummer may be made by several manufacturers with variations.
