This is the Coralville Road level crossing at Moorland, New South Wales, it is located on the North Coast line which links Sydney and Brisbane.
The crossing was passive until these signals were installed on August 24, 2004, all three signals have Western Cullen Hayes bases and Alstom LED lights. Originally the crossing had a Western Cullen Hayes mechanical bell which has since been replaced by a recycled Westinghouse teardrop bell.
The bell most likely came from the crossing at nearby Coopernook which previously had a teardrop and was upgraded with new signals some time around 2017.
    Train information:
1st train: 2WB7 steel from Port Kembla to Brisbane, with locomotives QL005 and QL007.
2nd train: NT33 XPT service from Sydney to Casino.
3rd train: 6M42 empty rail train from Telegraph Point to Morandoo (Newcastle), with locomotive 8178.
    Filmed on September 4, 2023.

Great video and crossing! Glad they reused the Teardrop bell there! Shame it sounds so rough. Hopefully it gets some TLC.

Great video Michael, great to see another teardrop bell reused. A shame it sounds quite weak though.

Thanks Jack, the bell probably just needs a bit of maintenance.

Swell video here Michael. Wonder how many gateless signals there is left on the NSW North Coast mainline. I know this one and Lansdowne are gateless though.

Very nice to see another teardrop bell being recycled at another crossing. Certainly makes up for the fact that the original crossing it came from had its signals replaced. When were the signals at Coopernook installed?

The original signals at Coopernook were installed on August 20, 1975.

@@McKHAust So the Westinghouse teardrop bell doesn’t seem to be original to that crossing if the signals are from 1975.

@@TrickyMario7654 Pretty sure Westinghouse teardrops first appeared around the mid 1970's so it could be original, sadly there doesn't seem to be any detailed photographs to show the bell, the whole area seems to lack photographic coverage in general.
