this was one episode where I actually preferred hearing Linus talk about shavers, than all that 3D stuff. I got triple 3D 120hz 27" samsungs too and could not give a rats ass.
I really enjoy the new guy, he was awesome in the first video. He explains things very well and does it at the perfect pace. Please have him continue to do these videos.
Man I just can't help but miss Linus. It's not that I dislike the new guy, he seems knowledgeable..he just doesn't have the enthusiasm to keep me entertained.
I don't get why people are complaining, have you seen Linus' first video? This guy is infinitely better than Linus was to begin with, so give him a bit of time and he'll definitely show what he can do. Plus it's nice to get someone other than Linus for once.
I like terran he does a great job educating. He is talking slow and demonstrates it with his hands very well. He is like he was made for that channel :D Great vid keep it up man!
I really like Teran! (sorry if I spelled his name wrong ._.) It really sounds like he knows what he's talking about, both in this video and his super conductor AFAP video. I can definitively see Teran(?) doing the more scientifically complex vids and Linus doing the hardware/software vids, maybe even throw Slick in there to do some gaming oriented AFAPs...?
Best 3D content I have ever experienced is Playing crysis 3 on my high-end PC using Nvidia Geforce 3D vision ! That was so immersive ! Also watching avatar in imax theater was a bomb!
This is an excellent explanation on 3D. I never thought I'd care about how it works, since I don't particularly like 3D, but this is actually very interesting and insightful.
Glad to see the new guy back! Great explanation of some dense material. A little more text on screen to denote the different topics would help. Still, the Techquickie format is great.
Great Video! Thanks for all the info.! You guys did a great job! :) I have a request ~ can you make a video showing pros and cons of a DSLR & Mirrorless Cameras?
I think the new guy is really good! While I like Linus' silly and charismatic nature, I also like how Terran is super informative. He talks slow and smooth and presents the information well whereas sometimes Linus gets a little carried away trying to be funny. Either way, I like them both!
The new guy is great for this channel. On LinusTechTips everyone expects Linus and his enthusiasm, but these videos are made for less tech savvy people and to be embedded on other websites, so something a bit more serious is welcome
Favorite 3DS experience so far is with my 3DS and the Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies game. Used the 3DS for some other games like Super Mario 3D Land, Zelda: Ocarina of Time and a bunch of more unknown games - but the Ace Attorney game is the only one that makes me WANT to use 3D all the time and doesn't annoy me after 30 minutes of playing.
When I was at uni I was going to do my honours degree in advanced rendering techniques to improve framerates for 3D games. When we purchased the tech (active shutter was our chosen method) we found that I couldn't see 3D :| Turned the project around into improving the 3D effect for people who can't/have trouble seeing 3D media. Was good fun and results were reasonably good as well.
My favorite 3d experience was when I discovered that I could independently cross my eyes to extreme and move them to different directions at once at will I can't seem to move them to look outward, though, so I can't do those stereograms right no matter how instantaneously I can do the cross ones.
Best 3D experiences, Avatar at the cinema (although the 3D bluray and TV I have did a pretty good job too) and Killzone 3. Killzone 3 single player actually got easier because there was depth between the effects (dust etc.) and the enemy, making the game clearer and enemies actually easier to pick out of the background.
well...... just turn your head away from your computer screen, say something stupid in-front of your mom or dad.... you will see their hand approaching towards you each passing moment..... you will see it so close you will get start questioning if its real or not... and the hand lands on your face.... so realistic that you can even feel the pain.... thats the best 3d experience i have ever got!!
my fave 3d experience is probs the 3ds with kh3d. the 3d feature was apparently designed so that everything popped into the screen instead of away from it. pretty clever too, imo :D
can't believe this video's 7yrs old, When the videos are so good you just have to save them all until you have a horders collection of random techquickie, LTT, and FAP.
Can I just say he needs to be a little more enthusiastic? I think that's the main reason everyone likes Linus so much and is so mad he's not in the video.
Teran(did I get that spelled right?) is pretty awesome. Anyways best 3D experience for me is probably Bravely Default on the 3DS some of the towns and places look amazing with it enabled. Although the small viewing angle even with the XL makes it hard to game on so I leave it off most of the time.
Awesome segway into the ad. I wasn't a fan of the whatever it was you guys did before. Just personal taste! Also nice to see the new guy back, seemed a lot more natural than the first video which is understandable. Keep up the good work!
Personally I am yet to be blown away by any movie in 3D. Most 3D movies just gain a tiny bit of depth at best but then sacrifice the brightness of the picture as you are watching the movie with the dark Real 3D glasses. I just prefer watching movies in 2D. In fact, make some more movies in UltraAVX (48fps) like the Hobbit! That looked so good! However, if I would have to pick the best 3D movie/scene that I have seen then I would have to say the end credits scene in the first Despicable Me movie as the minions are trying to come as close to the audience as possible. That is such a brilliant scene!
I rarely use the 3D on my 3DS except when the scene is too good to pass up. Other than that, i enjoyed a 3D movie once but didn't care to go back. I would like to try Oculus, but I'm not in a position that allows me to. Great video! Preview image caught me off guard but still the same great content.
Yeah, another ad that makes me laugh, "100% Clean as your butt", Another clever ad by Linus, Yet again, this is how ads should be done.... // Also, the guy that appeared first, Still, i like how you do your videos, You explain them, "easy", at least. Keep doing them.
I really enjoyed this guy (Terran?). I'd like to see him more.
Props to the new guy, he's doing a great job! I look forward to more videos
It's amazing how good TechQuickie is without all the hyper-fast high-pitched talking and corny jokes... at least until the ad comes on.
Agreed, Linus can be great, but he often tends to be a little too energetic for his messages.
this was one episode where I actually preferred hearing Linus talk about shavers, than all that 3D stuff. I got triple 3D 120hz 27" samsungs too and could not give a rats ass.
I disagree, it's good either way.
I like this enthusiasm.. he's easily to follow and knows what he is talking about.
I guess I just happen to like happy and energetic people cause Linus is pretty funny most of the time. His energy is what makes it so funny.
Terran is pretty cool. He is articulate.
Completely agree with your statement there. He is quite the good fit for the Tech Quickie channel.
***** Whats that got to do with Jar Jar Banksy and I's comments concerning Terran?
***** stryk187 Has a point. That doesn't magically make terran worse as a presenter.
Who is this. Who are you? WHERE IS LINUS!?! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO HIM YOU FIEND!!!
watch the whole video first :)
I actually like the variety in hosts
I like this guy. More of him is needed in this channel.
I really enjoy the new guy, he was awesome in the first video. He explains things very well and does it at the perfect pace. Please have him continue to do these videos.
I never got headaches from any 3D type... but I always can't help it to peek above the glasses to see how the movie looks without glasses XD
This guy has major swag.
Man I just can't help but miss Linus. It's not that I dislike the new guy, he seems knowledgeable..he just doesn't have the enthusiasm to keep me entertained.
I really liked the way he explained. With technology, I prefer someone to be specific and serious rather than funny. But that's just me.
I love your Dollar Shave Club ads! The funnier, the better! Give us a reason to watch them!
Awesome vid Taran. Your presentation is growing on me.
I believe this guy should have Linus' spot at least he delivers in a way in which you can understand
I don't get why people are complaining, have you seen Linus' first video? This guy is infinitely better than Linus was to begin with, so give him a bit of time and he'll definitely show what he can do. Plus it's nice to get someone other than Linus for once.
Favourite 3D experience was the new Hobbit movie in 3D, HFR. It's amazing.
I have to agree. higher frame rate solved all of my issues with 3D
Mad props for getting the explanation of polarization right! So many people get this wrong and don't understand it.
Linus= Crazy, Energetic and cheap puns
Taran= Scientific, Explanitory and examples...
like the new guy, he does a really good job
very informative episode on 3D, i actually learned something for once! ;P
I like terran he does a great job educating. He is talking slow and demonstrates it with his hands very well. He is like he was made for that channel :D Great vid keep it up man!
Taran is awesome, keep it going!!!!
I thought the new guy was great, looking forward to more videos with him.
It was the documentary on the space shuttle in the Seattle science museum. Hot gas with 200db sound in my face plus beautiful 3D universe!
Definable better than Taran's first fast as possible, good job!
Definitely...
RechargingBatteries you can edit your post, so you don't have to comment back to yourself...
RechargingBatteries derp~!
RechargingBatteries herp derp
RechargingBatteries derpettyderpderp
I really loved Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor. The Dalek lasers and the Galliferyan art were so immersive.
Terran is very well spoken. More of him please.
ive been searchin about this for a month and this is the best video ive seen . thanks alot
Best 3D content I have ever experienced is
Playing crysis 3 on my high-end PC using Nvidia Geforce 3D vision ! That was so immersive !
Also watching avatar in imax theater was a bomb!
My favorite 3D experience is IRL. Totally captivating.
I like the new guy! Very informative and easy to understand.
You could try Co-hosting!
i personally liked the last dollar shave club Ad
The new guy did very well presenting the information, as on his other techquickie video.
Lol. The new guy is so cool and calm. It feels weird to watch a 'As fast as possible' episode without linus doing his spastic moves xD
That guy was pretty chill, but nobodys better than linus
This is an excellent explanation on 3D. I never thought I'd care about how it works, since I don't particularly like 3D, but this is actually very interesting and insightful.
One Wipe Charlies would make great stocking stuffers.
Hello fellow stranger. Nice to meet you!
i really enjoyed the oculus. its 3D effect was stunning
Glad to see the new guy back! Great explanation of some dense material. A little more text on screen to denote the different topics would help. Still, the Techquickie format is great.
Awesome job Taran!
Great video, very professional. Exactly what i like to see
Great Video! Thanks for all the info.! You guys did a great job! :)
I have a request ~ can you make a video showing pros and cons of a DSLR & Mirrorless Cameras?
Very well done. Great job! Can't wait for the next one.
Linus you look different :^)
it because it's in 3D
At the end, it's Linus before and after using the Dollar Shave Club deal. Maybe he should stop shaving. He looks smarter With beard and glasses
Not bad, new guy! And I preferred the funny ad to the serious one, honestly!
Just wondering, why does the cyan lens see the red image, and the red lens see the cyan image?
My favourite 3D is yet to come, will be the follow on documentary from Sean Casey's IMAX film Tornado Alley.
I think the new guy is really good! While I like Linus' silly and charismatic nature, I also like how Terran is super informative. He talks slow and smooth and presents the information well whereas sometimes Linus gets a little carried away trying to be funny. Either way, I like them both!
Linus got a new sidekick!! And a good one!! It's a pretty nice start for the first video keep it going! Great work linus and team!! :D
I think this new guy's great!
I like to have a different person than Linus every time.
Love science & Love this new guy=Love Techquickie !
The new guy is great for this channel. On LinusTechTips everyone expects Linus and his enthusiasm, but these videos are made for less tech savvy people and to be embedded on other websites, so something a bit more serious is welcome
I actually just watched this on my 3ds and managed to see some of the images in 3d :P
Terran is a good presenter, good job sir!
My favorite 3-D experience is life. Face it nothing gets better than this.
this is my favorite one yet
Nice explanation
This new guy should make more with linus!!
I had no problem with the How To Shave skit, I think its pretty witty that you guys did that.
Too be honest, when Linus hosts the show, the content is a lot more digestible.
i think he did a great job
nice and interesting vid

Hello new guy! Really liked the explanation, hope we get to see more of you in the future. Good job!

Killzone 3 single player actually got easier because there was depth between the effects (dust etc.) and the enemy, making the game clearer and enemies actually easier to pick out of the background.
Very informative presentation. Keep'em coming!
Great AFAP! Very well done!
This is very informative.
you guys are doing a great job!!
well...... just turn your head away from your computer screen, say something stupid in-front of your mom or dad.... you will see their hand approaching towards you each passing moment..... you will see it so close you will get start questioning if its real or not... and the hand lands on your face.... so realistic that you can even feel the pain.... thats the best 3d experience i have ever got!!

can't believe this video's 7yrs old, When the videos are so good you just have to save them all until you have a horders collection of random techquickie, LTT, and FAP.
I like your style, it's a nice contrast to Linus! Keep up the good work!! :)
I like Teran for these kinds of videos. I like change if it's really needed :D
I like this guy! Keep up the good work
This was more like 'how it works' than as fast a possible, it was pretty nice nonetheless.
man,you did good
I like this new guy, he has a feel of authority about him
Can I just say he needs to be a little more enthusiastic? I think that's the main reason everyone likes Linus so much and is so mad he's not in the video.
Watch the whole video.
Adazee Imarhiagbe I meant like not doing the actual explanation of 3D
Techquickie Great job Taran! Didn't know them all or the proper name for all of them.
I love this guy!
3D kills my eyes, no matter what I do, Instant pain for me.
Yes, within ten seconds of using a 3DS, I was dizzy. reckon people like us are too advanced for this primitive 3D thing.
amazing explanation!
Teran(did I get that spelled right?) is pretty awesome. Anyways best 3D experience for me is probably Bravely Default on the 3DS some of the towns and places look amazing with it enabled. Although the small viewing angle even with the XL makes it hard to game on so I leave it off most of the time.

pretty solid explanation
This guy is great!
MOAR TERAN

Love dollar shave club
can we get a video on how each pc component works? and maybe some videos on explaining architectures?
Circular Polarisation 3D (CP 3D) is called stereoscopic 3D...
Yeah, another ad that makes me laugh, "100% Clean as your butt", Another clever ad by Linus, Yet again, this is how ads should be done.... // Also, the guy that appeared first, Still, i like how you do your videos, You explain them, "easy", at least. Keep doing them.
Linus video:as fast as possible
Terran video:as moderately paced as possible
