I’ve worn red lipstick for as long as I can remember and I’ll be 71 years young this year. I’ve had to learn to adjust it a bit due to my age, but I love it, brightens up my face 😍, and just makes me happy 😉💄

I like Cover Girl "I Cheery-ish You." I think a brighter color on mature ladies perks up our look and the nude lip washes us out.

Revlon's "Cherries in the Snow" was my Grandmama's standard!
Mama wore Revlon's "Fire and Ice".
I prefer the "Wine with Everything". For red, I like Mac's Russian Red or a red from Besame. ❤
For me, I don't care for lipstick on me....but it's the only makeup my mother wore. It's all she needed.....she used Revlon Fire & Ice ! That's the only one she used. It's been around a super long time. My mother has been gone since 1994. I remember her buying that lipstick when I was a little girl ! I am 76 as of today.....so that tells you how long Revlon has made Fire & Ice !

I watched a vintage video from the fifties about wearing lipstick. Their directions for applying lipstick was using a lip brush to apply the lipstick and not straight from the lipstick bullet. Red lipstick was very popular in the 1950's.

Agree I love a (cool) red that isn't too saturated. I have found I prefer the balmy reds that are definitely red but forgiving enough to apply without a mirror.
Catrice has a very nice red in their Shine Bomb line called Queen of Hearts. It's not too glossy and definitely red, but comfortable and forgiving.

I can’t wear a matte red, have never been able to. When I found Yardley Clear Red, I discovered my wearable red. It was a gloss in a pot. Since then, I’ve found glossy, soft reds that worked for me, and a bunch of red lip glosses. Red is my favorite lip color for December (sparkly) and in the summer. I stick to cool and neutral, soft reds. Brights and orange-reds overpower my coloring.

Love a red lip and so glad you are beginning to enjoy it more. I have several blue-red, cherry-red, wine and burgundy shades. Also love a bold fuchsia. I am a neutral, so get easily drawn toward many different shades. Cherries in the Snow was a favorite in my 30s!

Funny you said this about red lipstick I’ve felt like this for years now and I finally bought an elf one and I’m really happy with it! I used to feel very unsure about red and felt that it was too harsh! Also elf’s new gloss in red is nice and Lise Watiers lip oil in red berry is really nice too and very hydrating! You look beautiful in all your shades of red! Keep up all of your great work! 😘

If I wear a red it's either a tinted red balm for a no maintenance lip Or a red lip liner with a Matte liquid lipstick for an all day no budge look and my favorite is a strawberry pinky red. I highly recommend for anyone who doesn't know what color red to wear to get a color analysis. It's so eye-opening and makes shopping so much easier when the colors we wear make us look healthy and alive.

Hi Laura Ray, l use a concealer,l put it around the edges of lips, it stops it to feather up into your lip liner, l learned this trick from Glitzy fritzy, hugsssss ❤❤❤

Great video Laura! I have always admired a red lip but shied away from it for myself. I’ve been trying it out lately and I get puzzled and frustrated because a lot of products that look red in the tube actually look pink when I apply them. The Ulta Beauty Weightless Water lip stain is really pretty, and it’s more of a soft stain that lasts.
