I feel like that last sentence wraps it up with a neat little bow - "I'm happier, to be honest." Love the van, too! I have an 89 GMC 2500 that has been an excellent camper van. I plan to add a kitchenette and a few other things soon.
She is super cute. So is her van. It's fun watching and listening to people so stoked on their rig. Especially the seasoned, unpretentious ones. 👍🏻👍🏻

I am super excited to find one of these great vans. As you probably know the conversion company is in Canada. Hard to find one in decent shape with low miles & that hasn't been driven to death. Nice catch girl! Maybe our paths will cross someday.

Love your video I bought a van just like yours two years ago it’s a 2000 road trek 190 I love every minute living in it I would never buy a house or rent you have everything you need I live in California Huntington Beach I go to the beach every day with my little dog Lily she’s 16 years old she loves the van too I’m glad you posted it’s rare to see one of those van on UA-cam Live well my friend

Beautiful home! Just an idea. Put a tin box under your bed around the furnace vent and move the warm air toward the center of the van. So that would be a 3-sided box. Top, and 2 sides!

This is the first one me and my girlfriend watched that we can relate to. I don't hate people, I just hate being around them.
The bed idea is super super sick and the ventilation for the heat is great too. I really like how you have a cozy little bedroom because honestly that's where we would pretty much always be anyway if we're in the van.
Another awesome thing is the price is realistic, it's not a fake van life video with a 65,000 dollar Mercedes van that got 10-30k in renovations. I dunno this was super cool to watch and I got some great ideas, thank you from both of us.

I recently picked up a 1987 Dodge B250 Leisureway van, its a very similar layout as yours, Brittany. I immediately painted the interior to brighten it up, and am going to work on it over the winter to prepare for spring travels. There are several ideas from this van that I will consult with my volunteer interior decorator, haha. I'm sure she would approve!!!!

What a nice van. I have an older van it's a 1996 E150 Ford and i love it. Old but comfy and dependable. loyalty &royalty 😀 can be thrown in the mix as well. Lol

I LOVE IT! I recently purchased a 1997 Dodge Versatile 190 and I am in love. It had a lot of water damage and it has taken me over 10 months. I started with the chasis first and now it is great mechanically. The camper part has been a challenge and I can't find who can work on it so little by little. The only downfall is that my model did not come with a generator spot so I am hoping I can fit a small one in the compartment and hook it to the propane. Lots of work.

Very nice my wife and I just bought a 1992 of that same van. I just built shelves next to the toilet we didn't feel that we hang up much on hangers. We felt shelve room wold be better. I like the white walls it really brightens it up inside.

With these older vehicles I don't hear many people talking about the mechanics. Would love to know the gotchas to look out for when buying an old van in the $3-$6000 range. Any insights welcome!
We aren't too sure as this isn't our personal rig but it sounds like Brittany did her research with this one and has been lucky since!

It's beautiful. I love it! Add some solar capability and internet/phone booster, a mini shower set up, a pet companion and it's purrfect! Who needs a house at Brittany's age - it can be an albatross :-O

@@chasethecat3839 So? Am saying the van is great. That's my dream and would be part of my requirement. To work on the road, internet would be key to doing that. A shower would make me happy. I haven't been without a furry companion in 60 years, and they're family to me!

A few years back I had a 1988 dodge van exactly like that.... except the stripes on the outside were burgundy. It was really small and difficult to live in comfortably.

What a lovely van! Size makes for perfect travel, hassle free, stealth, compact, and gas efficient. Wonderful layout inside. Very cozy, countertop is such fun!
You could easily make a shower out of your closet and still use it as a closet. Add a window there to dry it out. See Humble Rd videos on this dual use.
Music in background was a continuous irritant. Maybe tone deaf people plugged into ear buds 24/7 need to have background noise, but the rest of us with perfect hearing do not. You lose people when you put mind numbing music through the duration of video. Best tours have no music at all. Just visuals and human voice.

How does water supply work?
Love the van. How many miles did it have? I have a 2007 RT 190P (Chevy). Did you paint the interior white or did it come that way? It really brightens up the interior. Why did you have to tear out the walls and redo the insulation? Was there a leak or were you just concerned that it might not be properly insulated? The cabinet up on top in the middle at the back is where my air conditioner/heat pump is. If I can't fix it, I have been thinking of just removing it and putting in another fan or something. Did it come with an outside shower? Mine has the inside shower in the aisle, but it fills up the gray tank pretty quickly.
Love your van! Question - Do you have issues with having your propane tank refilled as it is fixed/stationary in your van? I'm struggling to decide on which tanks to install in my 95 GMC/Safari -Tiger/Provan.
