Acoustic Shoppe @ NAMM 2024 - An Iconic Tony Rice Santa Cruz Guitar Comes Back to Richard Hoover

D 262 (or 962) was a personal favorite and the 4th or 5th guitar that SCGC built for Tony. This guitar was used frequently in the early 1990s and appears on a number of albums recorded in those years.

One of my friends and luthier, Steve Salvi, worked for Santa Cruz. He had to work tables at night to afford apartment costs. So, hhe left and came home to Adelaide Hills, South Australia. He's is a genius as a luthier and did more than he should've charged me , on a neck set up and wrap around bridge on a Les Paul Jr.aslo an ground wire wire for nothing. Santa Cruz's loss methinks.
