Dodgers fan since 1982 when I was 8 years old. My dad took me to Citi Field to see the Dodgers vs the Mets. I was mystified by that uniform ever since. I’m so grateful to my dad for making sure I became a Dodgers fan 43 years ago, living in NYC.

Just wait till you check out the redwoods and the big rivers and stuff up north just a short drive away. And you are allowed to go to San Diego lol. It used to be a friendly rivalry back in the day because we wanted the Padres to be successful as a team.
@@karendurant4981 I'm a California native, but yeah, those trips as a kid to stand next to the giant Redwoods, and the stops at Solvang or Hearst Castle, or heading down to SD, and then Rosarito when I was old enough. 1 24-hour Day trip even to Vegas. Joshua Tree. Mt. High, or if we had enough time, Mammoth. 6 hour drives to the Bay Area. Long Beach. The beaches in general. Camping in all that protected land.

Baseball, more than basketball or football, is unpredictable. An injury can take down the mightiest player, but that same player can step up and crush a walk off home run. You really never know what will happen when the pitch is thrown.
it's because in smaller sports like bball, one person can dominate and carry a team of 5 on-the-field players. in baseball, the best players like sho and judge are but one person out of 8 fielders and probably about 2-4 pitchers in any given game. lebron can drag a team into the playoffs, but trout couldn't, and that isn't a knock on trout whatsoever.

At this point, our Dodgers are definitely the MLB's super villain/Avengers of MLB. But we love that. Let's build and start the dynasty! When they say the Dodgers are ruining baseball, they are not. Other teams are just not aggressive stacking up players for their team and improve their roster.
Any player gets a chance to be part of the best or one of the best dynasty, they'll jump on. Plus the Dodgers aren't short changing these players like the Patriots did when they had Brady.

Nobody is mentioning one the obvious advantages for players deferring their money. They are getting free generational wealth financial help. Instead of players having to worry about being their best on the field most of them have to deal with massive amounts of money. It would seem they welcome the financial stability that comes with having professionals handle their money now and in the future. Most people who get windfall wealth have incredible stress to manage it and keep it. This is the United States. It’s actually relatively easy to make money. Keeping it is the hard part. I can see other teams making financial deals with the Guggenheim group. They don’t just see Dodger Blue, they see dollar bill green. Any team could and should approach them to help with financials. If baseball teams don’t do it watch NBA and NFL teams figure it out. It’s an easy way around a “hard” cap.
