- An old Italian pear shaped mandolin from early 20yth century. It is fitted with Nylon (nylgut) Strings by Aquila (Mandolin Red Series)
As the mandolin sounds much different with this type of strings I've selected two Lute pieces which I've arranged for mandolin, these are:
Wojciech Długoraj - Finał
Gilles Farnaby - Spagnoletta

The Nygut strings give a lutanist's touch to this mandolin.
Bro, it sounds absolutely beatiful, that's is sound I'm looking for

Nylon Strings on a Mandolin sounds great because you don't wanna put too much tension on the top of an instrument this old.
I have just discovered your channel and I congratulate you on the beauty of Mandolins that you show. I have a question: a few years ago I bought an Italian mandolin in poor condition to repair, I know it's old and I'm sure it's fine, but I don't know who the luthier is who made it, there is no manufacturer's label. Is there a way to know who made it by the design it has? . I would love to send you a picture of the instrument
Hi, you can drop me a message via my web www.lucassobieranski.com
There were a lot of mandolins made without any label which would allow retailers in other country to put theirs, also a lot of luthiers copied each others styles so tracking back to the original one isn't always possible.
@@lucassobieranski9089 thank you for the answer
Beautiful music. Is it possible to get the sheetmusic of your arrangements somehow?

The large brass plate has the tuners fitted upside down so the string tension pulls the cogs away from the worm gear . Bad engineering . Well that`s what I thought. But I was wrong .
This instrument only had 5 strings before you restored it.
