We hardcore fans noticed Brandon’s struggle over the last few years, and hearing him sing recently makes me very happy, because he’s definitely getting back in shape.
Brandon is the real deal ♥️

Fantastic interview! Great questions. You may or may not realize that you kind of have a gold mine here because Brandon talks about what's been going on with his voice. The fans have been endlessly trying to figure it out . You kind of have an exclusive here. If I were you, I'd ask Brandon if you could clip that section about his surgery.

Thanks for this! I actually did notice at a show a couple years ago that it didn't seem like Brandon could hit all the notes. I chalked it up to an illness or something ... looking forward to seeing the guys out on tour with Brandon at 100%!

His voice is just ageing which is normal for a singer. You'll notice it with singers like Liam Gallagher, Stevie nicks etc. He's still a good singer, just not as strong of voice as it used to be.

I think people under estimate how hard he sings. He is the opposite of pedestrian. He was testing his limits at age 20. So to think it would sound the same almost 30 later is kinda strange. I think it’s expected. I saw him do the whole make yourself album 2 years ago. I was kinda impressed at how close he really was.

I would look back on the MV house in more of a POC type of way. Incubus was the proof of concept when they got in there and recorded an incredible album, so the house became a studio henceforth. Incubus plowed that road. No one thought to make an amazing album in that house until Incubus did it first. So I would look back more proud, less disgusted with the owner! I definitely get his point though. Sounded like a shameless cash grab.

Just heard the ten tracks. 2 tracks are okay, I like track 9, Petrichor. But, it’s obviously lame and not very strong in any way shape or form. He hasn’t done a song with fast-paced energy or offer anything we take with us. That’s the worst part.
