This is also a subject, and a game, that's very important to me, so it was fun to write and discuss. The Shroobs are a truly evil race, and I'd love to see them make a return someday. Too bad they never remade Partners in time, and that Alphadream went bankrupt.

I could imagine that if they found out about the Dark Star and got to it first, Fawful would've teamed up with the Mario Bros and Bowser to stop them.
The scariest part of the shroobs is, it reminds us of how Humans used to be, and some still are.
Psycho killer genre is more scary for me than ghost stories movies, because psycho killers do exist irl.
I mean despite their merciless genocidal nature, at the same time, the shroobs are oddly charming in a way that's enough to make me smile. Mainly their interactions with each other that lack dialogue during awkward situations.
Shroobs may come from a dying planet, but that does not justify all the atrocities they committed throughout Mario & Luigi: Partners In Time. The Shroobs could have lived peacefully with their new home's native creatures. But nope, they decide to torture, kill, and destroy everything in sight, and their presumed extinction is the price they paid.
Absolutely, their cruelty far exceeded what was necessary, they're extremely warlike and don't give other races any respect.
I wouldn't be surprised if they were the ones who caused the destruction of their planet by mistreating it.
If you think about they know they are scary creatures and even if they did the people around them would they would fear them no matter what
And even if they succeed
They will slowly kill off everything in the planet and it would become another dying one just like their old one
Isn't that just what humans do as well though? We don't exactly live Peacefully with most other creatures on our planet, and we've never been above testing on animals, or killing them to turn their fur into coats, or eating them.
We Absolutely use the lives of animals to get resources from them, which is exactly what the shroobs did. They just see humans as no better than regular animals.

partners in time is literally about an alien mass genocide holocaust, as a matter of fact it is the only nintendo handheld launch title to have genocide featured in a game. think about that

@@teepose3862I honestly think that “Bowser’s Inside Story” would be a better sequel to “Superstar Saga”, with “Partners in Time” potentially standing out as a game on its own. There are far more tie-ins between “Bowser’s Inside Story” and “Superstar Sage” than with “Partners in Time” and either of them. All we get in “Partners in Time” is a brief scene where Fawful explains his previous misadventure and all we get in “Bowser’s Inside Story” is _one_ boss battle with a highly summarized explanation as to the origins of the Shroobs in the Mushroom Kingdom.
Nintendo could have done a better job at making “Partners in Time” a better sequel to its predecessor by at least giving Fawful more of a prominent role, perhaps by him taking charge of the Shroob invasion or making a deal with them in exchange for some sort of power from them, with someone else selling the beans. “Bowser’s Inside Story” could have perhaps involved an entire area populated by Shroob survivors, with Starlow/Chippy learning more of the story every so often, with an heir to Princess Shroob possibly serving as an area boss and the guardian of the Bowser Castle attack pieces.
Sure, the game introduces new elements and corrects flaws that were in the original and I’d highly recommend playing the game on its own, but as a sequel to “Superstar Saga”, it is more “see-through” than “se-quel”.

Very good cover. But they are also cute/childish and have great character (especially the environments) design. They are also intended to be humourous as a parody of jingoism. Another factor is that you don't know how far they'll go next, especially when in the gigantic castle.

Also I think the Shroobs just do so much more horrible cruel things to people than Dimentio. I mean, sure Dimentio was going to kill everyone, but at least it would be over quick. But the Shroobs condemned the Toads to agonising, lengthy deaths and thought nothing of it.
But yeah he's absolutely a contender for most evil I just think the Shroobs are.

It's probably because I have never played Partners in Time and I am blinded by the nostalgia for Super Paper Mario that makes me think Dimentio is nastier.

I love this video! I've never seen someone talk about how messed up the Shroobs actually are, they definitely ran with the alien invasion trope really well! Also those comics are really cute!

Honestly I think you really hit the nail on the head, the Shroobs were and still are some of the best Mario antagonists. Getting to slowly see their plan unfolding over the story is chilling, and it was done so my better here than it was with Fawful or Cackletta. They succeeded in their goal, the past is theirs, and they aren’t pushovers either. They will destroy small villages, large towns, take advantage of innocent creatures and do whatever it takes to stay in control. I’m really glad Partners in Time came out when it did, otherwise if I came out today with all the dark undertones and plot points, so much stuff would have to be changed considering how safe the Mario brand has gotten as late. They’re still capable of making great games, Mario Wonder looks to finally be branching out, but there’s no doubt in my mind we’ll never get a Mario game quite like Partners in Time again.
Sorry for the long essay lol, I just love this game so much and the Shroobs are a big reason why.
Yeah I love how bold they were with how dark they let the Shroobs be in this game. If Nintendo was cooler they'd be an excellent antagonistic race to bring back in the future, but sadly it likely won't happen.

@@GeorgeMarionerd While I do love Bowser in the RPGs and Fawful, I think the Shroobs are a great contrast to the usual happy go lucky tone of the Mario series. I’m really glad it came out and finally getting to play it this summer. Can’t wait for the Partners in Time retrospective, it’s severely underrated and one of my favorite Mario games
One thing you didn't mention about Shroobs: There was one unfroozen Shroob in Bowser's Inside Story in Fawful Threater when Bowser was looking for a seat.
Though I didn't mention it in the video, that's actually the main Shroob in those comics I made as a kid I mentioned.
It seems pretty clear Alphadream left themselves ways to bring them back in the future, having so many in cold storage and that one in the audience.
@@GeorgeMarionerd Another detail is that Elder Princess Shroob was the only shroob able to speak in our language.
Suppose it makes sense that at least their ruler would learn the local language before invading, but I suppose she could've just learned it through listening to all the characters speaking while chilling inside Stuffwell.

Elder Princess Shroob is an amazing plot twist. If you didn’t see it coming. Throughout the game several characters get scared of the Cobalt Star, claiming they saw someone looking at them. But later the game she disguises herself as “the spirit of the cobalt star” which makes you lower your guard. So its a twist that is unexpected, but not one that comes out of nowhere.

I think Dark Star from BiS might have been more evil than the Shroobs. I'm not quite sure what his motivation was. I know he wanted to create black holes. The Shroobs, as awful as they were, at least had a motivation and seemingly had a few lines they wouldn't cross (very few, but they were there, if Dark Star had his way, the Mushroom Kingdom planet would've bit the dust and likely so would have the entire solar system.
Technically yes, but like, the Dark star is pretty much just MADE of evil. That's what it is, a physical representation of darkness and malice. I'm not even sure it has the presence of mind to choose to be good if it wanted.
The Shroobs actually CHOSE to be evil.

The Shroobs are basically Nazis. I think this game was made to show children, especially Japanese children, all the horrible things the Nazis/Japanese did during WW2

Interesting take. This was my first RPG too, after playing Mario games like SMW, SM64DS and MKDS. These guys terrified me. I straight up feared the final boss when I couldn't beat it. Needless to say I was kind of stupid at RPGs back then. I didn't understand how to upgrade gear really.
I think this is mostly spot on, but thinking about it more, the Shroobs may have their motives. I see the final boss as the ruler of a dying kingdom who has gone maniacal. It's possible that they aren't truly evil but feel they have no other choice but to invade since their planet was dying. The final boss is simply Princess Shroob's last stand. That and you just killed her sister before it.
Oh, of course they had motives. It would've been more evil of them if they were taking over the Mushroom world purely for conquests sake, for instance. They did need a new place to live. My point is they were out for blood right from the start, engaging in extremely cruel acts without even trying to seek a peaceful coexistence first, or like, an uninhabited planet. And yeah you did just kill her sister in front of her, Elder Princess Shroob was surely sent into a fit of uncontrollable rage at that point.
But I didn't really understand how RPGs worked yet either. I ran away from every fight because I thought they just wasted my time, gotta say, that made the bosses extremely difficult. Everyone levelled up several times after each one 😅.
Also when I did level up, it took me till most of the way through my second playthrough to realise I could choose something other than health for the bonus Lakitu gives you 😆
@@GeorgeMarionerd That happened to me too actually. Because I didn't understood what anything else was but HP. So I took only +1 HP and rarely +2s while everything else wanted to dish out 6s. Didn't use gear, and ran away a ton.
The Shroobs are interesting. It almost reminds me of a potential year 2100 apocalyptic scenario, where they're a super advanced species but they destroyed their planet to try to keep up with production. How could they not understand the problems of their world? Well, our current governments don't seem to care about climate issues because of money. It's actually feasible. It would explain why the Shroobs need a new home, because maybe they destroyed their own with all their weapons and war arsenal. We clearly see their inhumane production levels in the Toadwood Forest and Yoob factories. Would make a lot of sense.
They just could *ask* (A.K.A. Talk) for life on mushroom kingdom/planet and not fighting bruh... But i cannot change the lore of this game, so yeah i kinda feel bad for em and not so much by now.

Well, if you really pay attention to the shroobs' dialogue, there is a very freightening yet clever detail:
One specific combination of letters they repeat more than anything over and over... At the very end of the game we get subtitles and it is revealed that this word means "DESTROY"
So for the majority of the game you get shroobs saying "DESTROYDESTROYDESTROY"
They literally just want to destroy.
That's a bit of Mario trivia I found on Super Mario wiki back when I'd just browse the site every day for fun, but forgot to include in this video.

Honestly if a remake of this game came out I feel it would be a lot scarier, could you imagine seeing the Shroobs demolishing toad town in the remake

The shroobs not attacking bowser out of fear is also supported by bowser inside story where we see that bowser and his minion had captured and frozen the shroobs proving that had they tried to fight him they would’ve been easily defeated
That's a really good point! In fact that might indicate that they tried attacking him but failed.
@@GeorgeMarionerdI don’t know that to be true, indeed in the RPGs we do see some decent military force in Inside Story but ultimately I think the reason they didn’t attack Bowsers Castle is that they were busy corrupting the weakish parts first. Why go for the ones with somewhat defensive capabilities if the other parts are taken over and corrupted much easier first.

Yeah this is actually the kind of video I want to make the most. I like doing gameplay videos, they're fun to do, (and far easier and faster to make) but in these videos I get to really discuss games the way I want to, and just go all out making them great because it's already taking longer than an average video anyway.

I think there is one detail that is missing. The intro narration states why the Shroobs are doing this. Because they grew bored of their old planet. They literally conquer, suck the planet dry and when there is nothing left, they grow bored and repeat the process.....

Here my list.
1.dimentio:a magical psychopath who wants to destroy all worlds so he can create new ones.
2.shroobs:they are a brutale race that wants to kill and tortured everyone on earth to create a new Place to life.
3.fawful:he is a entertaining Villain who is perfect in making plans and is One of the only two villains(alongside bowser) in the Franchise who appeared in other mario games.
4.bowser:he's the oldest villain in the Franchise and the archenemy of Mario.despite being the main villain he has a good side because he Teamed up with Mario some Times and is more like a i want to impress the princess guy.
5.count bleck:First you can think he is the ultimate villain because he wants to destroy all worlds,but in the course of the game we see that he has no joy in what he is doing.

Well, 'best' or 'favourite' is very different to 'most evil' so no, I don't think Shroobs would be at the top of my favourites list.
I might do that video someday though.
One thing that you touched on that I love about the Shroobs is how much you can infer about their culture from their actions.
Their home planet was depicted as being pretty desolate. It was dying, and the Shroobs most likely had to fight hard to survive. Whether it was against the elements, local wildlife, or maybe even against rival Shroob clans, they developed a warlike culture to try to conserve and gather as many resources they could for themselves. It was to the point that, when they arrived to the Mushroom Kingdom, it's like they couldn't fathom that a species could live peacefully. Granted, they instantly went on the offense and couldn't speak the language, but it's like they assumed that because they had to live this way, ALL life lived this way. Or perhaps, since the Shroobs are obviously parodying extreme patriotism and jingoism, it is one of those things where the two Princess Shroob leaders convinced the Shroobs that invasion was the only option because if the Shroobs saw the peaceful life of the Mushroom Kingdom, it would cause them to defect, which threatened the sisters' power. Peace might've led to questioning the sisters' leadership and tactics. This could've especially been the case because Elder Princess Shroob actually understands and speaks English/the Mushroom Kingdom language; she and her sister might've been manipulating their troops the entire time, which makes their sacrifice as EPS shoots them out of the sky even more somber with that music playing.
They're such fascinating villains and by far some of me favorites in the Mario series; love seeing people check them out!!
Those are some really interesting points I hadn't really thought of! We know so little about the specifics of their culture and history, it's fun to speculate about it. I do hope they get used again, there's so much more that could be done with them.

See ? This guy gets it. Partners in Time was creepy game that was clearly NOT made for kids. Glad I'm not the only one out there who got traumatized by this game as a kid.
Yeah PiT is one of those Mario games that gets away with a 3+ rating probably just because it's Mario.

Am I the only one who likens the shroobs to the Nazis? They both conquered and colonized foreign realms, they deemed these realms’ inhabitants as inferior races, they sought to execute them or otherwise end their lives in order to make “living space” for their own populations, they both punished opposing journalists for disagreeing with the ideals of their regimes and did what it took to shut down political opposition, they both had long banners featuring relatively simplistic emblems that were hung across many of their important buildings, and the list goes on and on.
There have been one or two people who commented on this video before making that comparison, but you're the first to point out this many similarities, blimey.
Spoilers:
I woudln’t have felt much sympathy for the shroobs until I arrived at the final fight against elder princess Shroob, that is when it hit me that they are human just like us, they are basically some concept of ‘evil’ just like humans but they are also alive, their world was dying and they desperately needed a new world to live, they just happened to find the mushroom kindgom world to invade because of how perfectly habitable is for them, the final fight against elder princess Shroob basically describes the entire premise of this war “Which race gets to live on or die?” There is no in between, its a battle between two living races, only one of them has to die to conclude the war. They did all of these genocidal actions not because they wanted to, but because they have to to live on, There was probably no way for both races to live on in harmony because shroobs probably live differently than humans so their technology and way to live is vastly different than ours. The song itself describes this final fight perfectly well.
I feel like saying they COULDN'T have cohabitated peacefully is assuming a lot. They went straight to aggression and genocide without trying any diplomacy; so I find it hard to believe they had no choice.
Of course, the language barrier makes it difficult for them to communicate anything.
Honestly I doubt it. They take active glee in conquering and sucking planets dry. Why did their home planet wither away in the first place? Besides, just look at the Shroob Princesses. They're crazy dictators.
I’m hoping we can get Partners in Time on Switch or some kind of remaster. This game is too good to be stuck in DS hell

Lets get correct 100%
1. Toadsworth mentions how they want to take their lives, with next cutscene to show Shroobs commited mass murder in Toad Town and left robots to patrol in case they missed someone.
2. Destroyed Mushroom Kingdom & Hollijolli Village and captured almost all toads.
3. Taken Toads suffer the fate of being drained and seeing capsule in vim factory having souls turned into juice, protein, fuel or power up shows they are getting killed.
4. Yoob devoured all yoshis in order to convert them into more Yoobs in aid of conquest.
5. Yoob has also devoured many koopas, seen how he has many of their broken skeletons or dry bones.
7. Many were shroobified + brainwashed and were trapped in slaverly.
6. Princess Shroob captures her victims to torment them for sadistic pleasure (feeding Princess Peach to Petey Piranha).
7. Princess Shroob came in future to conquer Mushroom Kingdom and planned to wipe out the characters who survived past or just present characters.
8. The ladies in Toad Town admits they are the only left alive.
9. Elder Princess Shroob reveal and boss fight.

Honestly my only real problems with the Shroobs are that the princesses are pretty bland characters to me. I wouldn't really say the younger princess is much more intimidating than any of the other villains and while the older sister is, she only appears at the very end
Well despite the older one being more intimidating that's only due to her sheer size and physical strength she however had no brains because she was imprisoned right away while the younger one ordered everything else that happened in the game she commanded that whole army herself and plotted everything that happened in the past even capturing Peach which must of been impressive considering she had already used her power and star to take out their main leader, Peach herself is definitely not weak despite her kingdoms crap defenses.
My headcanon has akways been that the time machine created a butterfly effect that lead to the shroobs star to exstiguish

I had a trauma from these as a kid.
I was 5 when I played this game, so I didn't understand the lore. Now, Since I understand, it's a very weird experience... Especially the Toadwood forest!

When I was younger I thought that the shroobs abducted the toads to make more shroobs because one toad was abducted and there was shroob that looked like that toad btw I never played partners in time
There was something so uncanny abour the shooms, that's why partners in time is my favorite game

It's true that Dimentio's goals were far grander in scale and far more nefarious than the Shroobs, but I don't believe that makes him the most evil personally. And for 2 main reasons.
Firstly, Dimentio was opportunistic. He had nothing to do with Bleck's initial plan to destroy all worlds, Bleck decided to do that himself and acted alone to get it done, Dimentio was merely a recruit. What Dimentio did was take advantage of the situation, he knew Bleck was going to play out this ultimate destruction, but Dimentio manoeuvred that fact to suit his benefit. @@GeorgeMarionerd actually Dimentio had contacted Bleck on his own, Bleck refused him at first but accepted when reading a part in the prophecy that indicated he needed to recruit Dimentio, Dimemtio knew of some stuff that no one did and it's implied that he wrote the prophecy a long time ago (I personally don't believe this theory), but it definitely demonstrates that he truly was convinced that he had to erase everyone from existence for selfish reasons that we don't really understand
BTW I have a theory, since it's implied Dimentio is the magician's (creator of the Pixls) son, he had a near death accident where he lost his mom and later lost his sister to an illness and the attempt to save her transformed her into a monster, so he probably went insane, he also lost the ability to walk and can only resort to floating so that adds to the insanity, 1500 years later he still hasn't recovered, so if this theory is true then Dimentio is sympathetic to some extent
@@darthtroller Yeah Dimentio's past is pretty foggy and confusing. Garson and Carson don't fill in all the gaps. But I did know his sister was likely the one transformed into the pixl queen who is likely Shadoo. His motives being somewhat sympathetic does make him seem a tad less evil than the Shroobs, we have no indication they used to be any nicer.
Also Super paper Mario has so much lore that doesn't get explored they could easily make a whole another game out of it.
Although in terms of villains who have caused the most death I'd say
Shroobs, King Olly (origami King), and Count Bleck/Dimentio are the top 3 in that category alone.
I'm not so sure about King Olly, he didn't really even kill anyone, it was his intention to annihilate all the Toads, though he didn't succeed in the slightest. His actions of turning Bowser's minions into folded soldiers and dropping a boulder on Olivia did cause people to later die via Mario defeating them/Bobby blowing himself up, but he's only indirectly responsible for those.
Count Bleck definitely killed the most people as several entire dimensions were eliminated, but they came back shortly afterwards so it kinda sorta doesn't count, but he still did it in the first place so I suppose it does.
Whereas the Shroobs killed good guys and they never came back.
So I do suppose it's all up for debate.

I think it's interesting how Younger Princess Shroob acts refined and classy, but when she gets mad at Peach before her fight, she starts repeating "Destroy", showing her true nature, the same as her people's.
The Shroobs, and even Younger Princess Shroob, are a species with a violent nature. They're probably the ones who turned their planet into the wasteland that it currently is, by draining its resources, and they would have eventually done the same with the Mushroom world if they won.

It's true that Dimentio's goals were far grander in scale and far more nefarious than the Shroobs, but I don't believe that makes him the most evil personally. And for 2 main reasons.
Firstly, Dimentio was opportunistic. He had nothing to do with Bleck's initial plan to destroy all worlds, Bleck decided to do that himself and acted alone to get it done, Dimentio was merely a recruit. What Dimentio did was take advantage of the situation, he knew Bleck was going to play out this ultimate destruction, but Dimentio manoeuvred that fact to suit his benefit. But he wasn't the instigator for all this. Bleck was.

I'll tell you what I told everyone else:
1, the Shroobs were much more cruel in the way they treated other life forms, often not just killing people, but using them to create fuel and giant living weapons.
2, Though Dimentio had far loftier evil goals, he also had the advantage of having access to the ultimate life ending mcguffin of ultimate destruction. Which is certainly convenient for him. The Shroobs didn't have access to such a mcguffin. So I suppose the question there is, if they did, would they use it? I believe they would.

2. Honestly, given the fact Shroobs are revealed to look for new home, I doubt they would destroy the whole world... unless every planet would become too rotten for them, which would probably take a long long time.
I mean, Dimentio did plan to survive the end of all worlds, because he was capable of creating his own dimension that was unaffected by the void to flee to.
The Shroobs don't possess the ability to create their own dimensions, so there's Dimentio with the power advantage allowing him to pull off his lofty plan.
So then you're left with the same question of if they could destroy all other life but still survive themselves, would they do it? Then again, maybe they enjoy conquest and the suffering of others so much that they wouldn't want to give that up even if it meant annihilation of all their enemies. It's hard to tell when we don't understand their language or motives.

But yeah, I agree. The Shroobs are, from an objective standpoint, the villains with the least amount of empathy. Dimentio is very close, but he doesn't go for the slaughter off the bat. He's playful and has banter with others before revealing his full intentions. We don't know what the Shroobs may have done prior to the game events, and they feel… cold and calculating entirely.
Despite that, the Shroobs and Dimentio, despite being so horrible, are very likable and charming… they aren't the most HATEABLE Mario villains despite their actions. (to me, Beldam from TTYD is third in most evil but most hateable)
I'm thinking of doing a Dimentio follow up video to this one but I figured that the Shroobs were more evil because they're more cruel in their murders.

This was legitimately the only game where I would fear every cutscene because something new and awful would show up.
I remember visiting the shroob castle timehole well before I had the cobalt star, looking at it for 2 seconds, and then promptly noping the hell out of there because it was so creepy.

Time travel is a strange thing and it can work in various ways depending on how it's written.
The future being ok could mean that the bros are destined to succeed in stopping them, or maybe the time holes being open means history is in flux, and one outcome or the other won't be solidified until the bros either fail or succeed.

I believe Nintendo does own them yes. But they don't like using characters/races that other companies invented, (in this case Alphadream) which mostly means that stuff from RPGs never get referenced in other Mario games. Which is very unfortunate.

I can agree with that, but I still find Grodus is one of the worst mario villains of all time. He just lacks personality and I can never give him any support for a villain at all. I actually care more about Lord Crump (save for his 2 awful boss battles) and even when you fight Grodus, it's made as a joke as Bowser comes in koopa-ex-machina only to fight you with the most frustrating gimmick in video games I hate (Back to back boss battles with no saving or healing)

The most evil Mario villain is Dimentio. He’s an absolute psychopath.
I think the Shroobs just do so much more horrible cruel things to people than Dimentio. I mean, sure Dimentio was going to kill everyone, but at least it would be over quick. But the Shroobs condemned the Toads to agonising, lengthy deaths and thought nothing of it.
The casual way the Shroobs commit atrocities and various types of biological warfare without showing any remorse or empathy, even delighting in the suffering they cause, is chilling.
I wonder, if he didn't have the 'ultimate, automatic win and kill everyone' button that is the Chaos heart in his grasp, how would he have gone about attempting to take over a planet? Would he have been as ruthless? The chaos heart gives its user such an easy, clean victory; but if all Dimentio had was his own innate ability to accomplish that goal, I don't think he'd opt for strategies nearly as barbaric. He's a magic user, he has class, he does his killing efficiently, and probably would have no need to cause so much suffering like the way Shroobs used sentient creatures as nothing more than resources to be spent.
And if the roles were reversed the other way, I think the Shroobs would've been just as willing to use the Chaos heart for their benefit.
There's certainly an argument to be made for him, but I really don't think he should get the title just because he was able to put himself in the position to steal the biggest instant win button in history.

Actually I believe that the canon explanation regarding that is the Toads were turned into, at least some of, the question mark blocks. And they provide you with coins or helpful items for freeing them by striking them.
Besides, that whole 'Bowser turning Toads into blocks' thing was only in the original Super Mario bros for the NES. No other games since.
Well in the original Mario Canon story handbook thing you get with the game says that Bauser turned the toads into blocks and peach has to be saved because she has the power to turn them back. It’s all in that Mario video.

Well i’d say the most evil villain in Mario history is like the shadow queen or dark star because they’re pure evil. Meanwhile the shroobs do this because they need a new home to assure the survival of their species. Like to me thwt’s why the final battle is so good you’re essentially killing an entire race to preserve your own can you really live with that feeling?
If you literally are a being made of pure evil then you're not really accountable for your actions, it's just your nature.
The Shroobs chose a path of cruelty and genocide. That was the decision they made.

The difference between all of the Mario villians compared to the Shroobs, is that, the Shroobs want to live, because, if you remember at the very begining of the game, we seen how his race is almost stinguish and also they're are dying, so, when tey saw a compatible planet, they wanted to conquer it, and you know that conquering requires death, so, they wanted to live at the cost of the citizens of the Mushroom Kigndom.
I get that they don't wanna go extinct but causing mass genocide because other races have a planet they want isn't defendable. They could've chosen to coexist peacefully, yet they came in with guns blazing.
It wasn't even a war. It was extermination.
