Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

Hey Scrapman, idea for a race:
Start with a basic chassis of a vehicle and everyone has to build off it but not change the original chassis

How about more team-based games like:
Team 1 drives two different cars to escape team 2. Team 2 will be in one armored vehicle and will have two roles (driver and gunner). The driver has to chase team 1 and can ram them while the gunner has to shoot down team 1 until they can't drive. The teams will switch after each round. The team that lasts longer gets a point.

Idea:
Make a 0 core race: u can use spinning servos or stuff to spin wheels made out of blocks, but u cant use any power cores

he already played cosmoteer and made a series on it. its in a playlist on his channel currently and honestly its one of my favorite series. id recommend you check that out because i dont think him redoing the same thing would be very entertaining for long term viewers.

Hi scrapman, a fun challenge would be a wall climbing destruction derby :D, if anyone likes this idea, I think the wallclimb should be on the side of the huge mountain on treasure island, i would love to see this as I like destruction derby challenges, and mixing it with the wallclimbimg challenge would be fun

Scrapman does not like walker challenges and with the time limits it is impossible to make a working mech suit suit in a limited amount of time remember the walker race in scrap mechanic and how slow it was for the guys to complete the race I mean Kan would have a advantage over everyone else but for the others it will be impossible

Finally got around to buying this game, It's far more fun than I thought it was, I knew it was but wow. I ran the first few Rally challenges and kept adjusting my vehicle for better time and it's so much fun trying to go for a higher rank. I need to get back into though I've barely scratched the surface.

The fact that kan always gets last is like the time paradox where for example u travel back in time to kill your grandfather,but no matter what you can't
i was kinda hoping the same thing again accept the rule is for any of the racing to even count you have to brake the sound barrier because imagine the sheer chaos that would occur in such a high speed race

I really liked the itterative stages and power core limit (rather than block limit) on this race.
I like that scrap man always builds the second fastest car, and keeps winning because kan explodes
idea for a "race" on the centerfuge whoever survives wins... if you get lapped you must drive off the edge

That's 72.7m/s, 133.8m/s, and 243.3m/s respectively.
His last car beat the piston-powered land speed record by over 70MPH!

You start the race with a car then you race to the water once near the water you modify it on the spot into a boat then you race to the carrier and once on it you modify it again into a plane then you race that back to land and finally back to a car and race to the finnish line

So scrapman i have a secret for you: have less blocks in contact with air so basically secret is to have as arrow as possible design and if making a ground vehicle dont add wheels it makes you 100-200 kph slower so yeah that is my advice

I made a centrifuge racer that can go 1000 KM/h and still steer and never lose control, it used like 30-50 cores, wish i could've been in this race, i would've destroyed XD

One tip
Go for better traction when you gonna use engines
But go for aero when you are going to use thrusters
If hybrid use whatever you like but I prefer a little bit to aero
