❤️This just became my favorite video of yours! I left China as a baby in 1952 from Guongdong and would like to visit again someday! You have a talent of telling a story that’s amazingly unique! I’m a Super fan! Those kids swearing had me in stitches! Priceless!😂
Katherine, you have created a great vibe for yourself. So soothing , So visual . We have been so engaged with your channel.. We love it. Can't get enough it . The wonder of exploring someplace you've never been. Now, how cool is that. Sending you much love and Affection 🫂🫂❤❤ from Jim and Harriet Richmond, VA.
I am trying to pick up some Chinese language skills and I think those two quarreling kids are the perfect place to start. Gotta get my basic Chinese swear words in order first! And only you would pick a random and obscure suburb like this to explore - which is why we love you so much. 🥰
You saved the best to the last - loved the interaction with the 2 kids. Profanities, my dear. I laughed out loud even tho I didn't understand a word of what was going on but your face .........
Very lovely video! It is always a great pleasure to watch your videos as they show us this beautiful country. Thank you very much Katherine for sharing ⭐️💕🍀
Wow Guangzhou looks awesome. You need to get one of those red velvet suits for yourself 😅 And yeah guns in the park was definitely something different 😅😅
I've spent almost two months doing what you do exploring neighbourhoods in southern China while traveling to big and small cities. Love seeing this part of China along with the tourist areas. Will definitely be coming back to do more exploring hopefully later this year. Keep exploring!
Kath, once again, great video and very picturesque places.... thank you again for showing more of lesser-known parts of China which are of great interest to me. Those two kids fighting & arguing like cats & dogs are, in reality, best of friends as they are dressed similarly and I bet, if one is attack, the other will fiercely come to his or her defense...and when apart, will miss each other like crazy Cheers & all the best!
Katherine, thank you for sharing your view into the daily life of the suburban community. It appears to me that the local community agencies have made great efforts to foster a positive and supportive neighborhood environment. Sometimes we Chinese ignore what is happening around us. The gun dance is so funny, those auntie rock!
Your ability to effortlessly communicate with the people everywhere you travel in China is truly amazing. I am sure you have the respect of all those you meet because you live among them and don't behave like an expat. Your vlogs allow your viewers to see China like no other vloggers. Thanks for all you do to spread good will to all.
Katherine always managed to find pleasant surprises wandering in less visited places, like the dancing mamas banishing pistols. Everyone can identify with one of the cute kids picking a fight with a playmate.
I can't with the two kids. Hahahaha. But why did the little girl say she couldn't understand you? You speak Chinese better than them lol. And wow aunties dancing with guns and badmintons - that's something else I've never seen. Yet another super entertaining video!
Great video beautiful video I'm absolutely grateful of you but I have to say was too short video , even didn't expect update in the middle of the week. Wishing you good luck and good health. Try make more beautiful video ❤
My experience of Guangzhou is fllying in, delivering/collecting my passport and then flying out again. Loved the video, as always, even called Huan for the James Bond Dancers. Also I wonder, like one of the other commenters, if the two bickering youngsters will turn into a happily married, still bickering; pair of old people.
Well, children are like that. They want to outdo the other by using even cruder words sometimes not knowing the meaning but heard from adults insulting each other. Yes, I remember my childhood insulting my own brothers and sisters when arguing. Terrible, I know, I come from a dysfunctional family. We were Chinese in India so things were not the best for us. No jobs jobs for Chinese only seamen, restaurants, shoes (by Hakkas) and medicasl (by Hupaks) and Xhinese medicine shops. That is why most Chinese in Calcutta have left to other English speaking places and countries like Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau, Canada, US, UK, Australia and so on. Luckily we were given British Passports so entry was possible.
The last 30 seconds was most funny coversatin ever! :P Can't really translate, espacially for children , but if you understand, you will laugh till death.
Three top things from video: 1. Dude playing a saxaphone - popular in 80's American's songs. Not so much anymore. 2. Sam Hui - Cantonese song :) 3. Two kids.
It was called Canton reflecting the Cantonese language as the British were based in Canton in China and Calcutta (Kolkatta now) in India. I spent most of my childhood in Calcutta and went to the boarding school near Darjeeling. A third of the children were British. The British finally left India in large numbers in 1959. Cantonese is the more ancient language than Mandarin. It closer to what Chinese people spoke before the Manchus. Just like English and Hindi, Mandarin was promoted by the Manchus. Conquerors changed the languages in England by the French-speaking Normans and the Turko-Mongolian Mughals who in learning Sanskrit created Hindi a mishmash of Turkic, Persian and Arabic languages based on Sanskrit which is a dead language like Latin. Urdu is similar to Hindi using squiggle script from Persian or Arabia instead of the Devangari script. Hindi now has a lot of English words in just as English has a lot of Hindi words like jungle, bungalow, jodhpur (trousers in polo), dacoit from the Hindi "daku".
Yes, Cantonese is the oldest dialect in China. I was told one of the Four Beauties, Xi Shi, spoke Cantonese. It'd be sad that Cantonese is no longer spoken even in Canton aka Guangdong.
it seems that you clearly remember every little romantic story that ur BF told u before. ahha , i'm looking forward to😊 listening you couple's story instead of his EX.
Those two kids were hilarious.
Thank you for these videos
Kids, easy to be amused, easy to get attention, easy to talk to and easy to start fighting each other.😂
So great with some unfiltered voices from kids. More of that 😀
You are still killing me with these videos especially the two cute kids and how they interact with you calling you auntie.
20 years later the two kids get married probably. Thats how the C-Dramas work out.
maybe ,it's called 青梅竹马

What a surprise if these kids find this video on UA-cam after 20 years.

The mutual veneration of each other's mom comes so easily for these kids.

These kids will be surely in trouble with their parents today, thanks to Katherine's recording. 😅😅

Nice park, many greens, the rock caves is just like the rock cave in Kashgar 😂❤
@8:38 HomDepot, but cover a couple blocks and it's all small businesses. 😄
They say the Cantonese have 3 addictions:
Superstition, Gambling and Swearing.
The kids learn early.
Ending of this video reminds me of the movie Till we meet again… arguing between two kids😂
凯瑟琳有一双善于发现美的眼睛,视频的每个片段都像是滚动着闪耀露珠的花瓣,轻松安逸中处处有惊喜,让人忍不住安安静静认认真真的看完

Ur lucky. I had been there quite some time, but never knew this park
LOVE the Cantonese Song @ 5:45.
Three top things from video:
1. Dude playing a saxaphone - popular in 80's American's songs. Not so much anymore.
2. Sam Hui - Cantonese song :)
3. Two kids.
If you would go to the city, I highly recommend to go to 陈家祠, where you can spend hours looking at cute little things
Thanks for the recommendation 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I was only in Guangzhou for one day but would love to see it if I go again😎
TOO CUTE - the little Chinese girl called you Auntie.
欢迎来到我的老家广州.差不多六年没回去了,真想回去看看.
Those kids bickering is the highlight of my day 😄
阿姨,哈哈哈哈😂
Great food in Guangzhou ❤
Interesting the sign regarding not eating mushroom is written in Cantonese. The character 吃 to eat was not used, but the Cantonese 食 is used instead.
Your Mandarin is awesome😊
Welcome to my home town GZ.
Those two must have disowned each other.😆
the quarrel between two kids was amazing🤣
Have you enjoyed yourself so far? another vlog next week to tie over before CNY, right
Katherine, did you check out the Whampoa Military Academy and the Nanyue King Wen's Mausoleum?
The kids🤣lol
你的视频让我渡过漫长的早上,因为我刚下班,我想快点到家。
Well, that escalated quickly in the end lol.
The kids performance at the end was astounding 🤣
yea those 2 will end up married to each other for sure. thank god we have subtitles, the exchange made so much more sense
小孩那一幕是亮点
There are always some people dancing exercising singing or playing instrument in the park in China✌️
第一,比b站晚一天
居然看到了新塘镇,大约20年前我经常去这里,这个地方生产了这个世界上大部分的牛仔服装。
Having caused such discord between the two kids, you just turned and casually walked away?! Dear oh dear!
OMG! The two kids...must have learned the foul language from the elders at home.

A very unusual park with almost no grass lawn. Is that typical in China?

这两个孩子的前途是光明的。 他们说话的方式非常丰富多彩且粗鲁。 然而,他们应该说粤语,这样谈话才会更刺激!
