when i whip and bar, my scooter makes this sort of creeking noise it's definitely coming from my headset. any help
grease the cups in your deck and if you want to the bearings them self should solve it but if not you need to buy a new headset
You should get a new headset because bearings come with the headset
FastMasterRaider mostly happens when bearings are no good but this happens to me it was just some dirt in on of the bearings in the headset wiped it with tight and it was fine
clean it, grease it and if that dosent work get a new one

Thanks for your video -- it was very helpful. I'm building bikes, and these scooter headsets use the same technology and type of parts that bikes use. After watching this, I can see that some of the cool looking new tech scooter parts could possibly work for some of my projects.
...And "EASY" is OK! We all gotta start learning somewhere. I am very mechanically minded and naturally intuitive about problem solving. I'm also VERY THANKFUL for all the bike and auto shop guys (over the past 40 years) who have taken their time to help teach me and sort through my many mechanical questions -- both simple and complicated.
HEY -- And now we all have UA-cam and a WORLD of information at our fingertips, as well.

Hi I use ihc and why is my top cap soo loose? (I can eaaaaasly twist it around and it makes a sound that really annoys me when i drop my Scooter)
put the dust cover over the shim / after you screwed the shim on

Sherlock i have the same problem but mine doesnt even tighten i just got a new headset and now my scooter is stuffed how did u fix it?
My dust cap was loose also, loosen your clamp, push down with your body weight leaning over the bars and while also pushing down on clamp tighten it.. problem solved for me.. hope it works for you..

What happens if you already took it apart and can't tell which piece is which?

Yes- please post a video of complete assembly. There is a cap sleeve (you don’t show the upper assembly) on my DISTRICT scooter that has a slit in it; is it slit opening up or down? This headset is so finicky. Every 3 days it needs a tightening cuz it’s clicking or a tiny bit loose.

somehow my top integrated bearing 'well' is too deep. When I drop the bearing in it sits 1/4-5/16" below the top of the steer tube. Place split ring on, set cap on steer tube and there is nearly 1/4" between bottom of seal cap and split ring. No way this would ever tighten up. Not sure what is going on or what to do. Thought about using carbon stem spacers between split ring and seal cap? Frame is a NOS Ridley X-Knight. FSA 44mm OD top bearing.
My top one doesn't want to go In after I took it out

What was that last part you said needed to happen? It was when you said "I don't know where that is...." Sounded important. Also you don't have to tighten the top cap at all? You just slide it on and it's good to go?
What is a good scooter for like riding around and doing some tricks
i have a mfx 4.8 deck with mfx affray forks that are threadless and a fsa integrated headset and max peters mp bars but i my bars still come up and are loose when i tighten the clamp up what do i need

ti frame with a full-carbon fork/steerer, so I'm not worried about galvanic corrosion there, but what about the frame / headset? Should I use anti-seize on the AL headset parts?

Hi I’m confused because I’m buying a new deck for Christmas and I’m using my old fork how do I know if the fork will fit properly in the deck and I dont know if i need spacers so the fork will fit btw the deck name is Aztec lucid 2 deck and my fork is from a prodigy s8 street scooter. Eney thoughts or tips ?

Your cap is not supposed to move mabye spin the only thing i could think is to tighten your compression
You should always replace crown race and always apply grease
Hi I was wondering if it would damage the bearings of a non integrated headset to put it in an integrated head tube/deck
I followed what you said and it when I don't have my bars on the forks fall out the bottom of the deck, why is this
+Jesse Hennessy you probably dont have a compression. if your forks are new you have to install a starnut, and then buy an HIC kit if you want the cheapest possible
im runnin an old fuzion deck (dont ask why😂) but could i use some HIC forks and an integrated headset or would i have to but one of those "other" headsets?

+Mini Maestro instead of loosening it up, build some strength it will help you spin them more easily
