I'm no fan of the GOP, but I don't think that this is a particularly valid criticism. Kamala Harris literally called Joe Biden a racist on the debate stage, but Bided needed a black woman to put on his ticket, so it was a marriage of convenience. Oftentimes Presidents and Vice Presidents don't really like each other, but need each other in some way.

It has become this in recent times for both parties. The candidates will insult and trash talk each other until once it has been narrowed down to the singular candidate for the party, they end up picking one of the candidate they had been attacking prior.
I have been watching Rubio for over 30 years as a native of SFL. He doesn't have what it takes. As a Cuban American, who typically doesn't like dictators (Castro), communist or bullies, I am shocked how he voted against Ukraine aid, did not vote to convict Trump in the Senate and his lack of spine to stand up to a bully.
I know right? I thought that, too. How can one be against Communist Cuba but OK with Communist Russia?
@@chillinlee I contact his Senate office and in the message, I mentioned as a "Cuban American" you should know supporting Ukrainian is the right thing for the US and for your constituents back home. 😅 He didn't listen to me. When he was in Dade County government, I would tell my parents he seemed too self-important and pompous. I was correct. He wants to climb that ladder at almost any expense.

The 12th amendment doesn't matter. The 6-3 Republican majority Supreme Court would overrule any attempts to apply the 12th amendment to Trump/Rubio. Just like they overruled applying the 14th amendment to Trump.
Kind of hilarious that they’d suggest Rubio change his address from the state he represents in the US senate, instead of Trump who could live anywhere he wants

5:17: false. While he is not Hispanic, Sen. Tim Kaine can speak fluent Spanish. And he (incidentally) proved the novelty of a Spanish speaking running mate is not that important when he was Hillary Clinton’s running mate in 2016z
I remember that Kaine's Spanish was very good but his heavy accent didn't really make him all that appealing. Rubio, on the other hand, is hispanic (thus more relatable to hispanics) and speaks fluently albeit with a slightly Americanized Cuban dialect.
@@PapaGabo He’s Cuban though. From what others have explained to me, Hispanics are not a monolith: there are divisions between different origins, and Cubans are to an extent their own sub-community. And that limits his appeal to non-Cubans. Many Cubans are already Trump supporters, so that doesn’t help as much as you might think:

For seemingly being a political "expert" I listened to the first two things he said and he's already lost any credibility in my eyes. He first says 30 votes is 11% of the total. That's very misleading. By saying 11% of the total that seems to suggest of the total number of electoral votes which is 538 and obviously 30 is not 11% of 538. He needs to specify that it is 11% of the total required to become president i.e. 11% of 270. Next he says to be a senator you need to be 35 years old. That's incorrect. 35 is to be president 30 is for senator. How does someone who is supposed to be an expert not know these things?

Marco Rubio represents a group of Cuban Americans, mostly the children of Cuban exiles who are living in Miami, having their political machine which they have been controlling Republican Party politics in Florida time and time again. Cuban Americans living in Miami with their right-wing to far-right political views still has their political machine and their political machine doesn’t work for us anymore. Yet, the Cuban Americans in Miami still fighting for their political machine. The same group of Cubans and Cuban Americans who have rioted in the streets of Miami and Hialeah over the Elian Gonzalez seizure back in the year 2000.

This is misinformation, the Twelfth Amendment to the Constitution *reinforces* an existing clause in the articles of the Constitution (Article II Section 1) before the amendment abolished the runner up being the vice president. CBS claims “The twelfth amendment says if the president and vice president are from the same state, the ticket would lose the electoral college vote” but in the amendment itself, it says the following: “The electors shall meet in their respective states and vote for President and Vice President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves;[…]” In simpler terms, it means that when the electors gather in their own states to vote, they must choose a President and Vice President. However, at least one of them cannot be from the same state as the elector who is casting the vote. This is to ensure that the President and Vice President represent a diverse range of states and regions. So, no, the Twelfth Amendment DOESN’T SAY the ticket can lose the vote if president and vice president are from the same state, it just says “You’re not allowed to have a vp from the same state.” They know what they’re saying is a lie, and expect YOU to believe it. Trump knows this, why would he pick someone from the same state? THINK!!!

I wouldn't want Rubio as a VP candidate anyway. The fact he'd run with Trump would be an instant black mark on his character I could not ignore... which as a Republican I'm not voting for Trump anyway on the same grounds. They’d still be Florida’s Electors. A State’s Electors can’t vote for both a Presidential and a Vice Presidential candidate who are from their State. They can only vote for one.
