I have one of these dolls that I found in a thrift store. I love the face! Well worth collecting. I was way too old to play with them when they came out. My daughter was but she wasn't much for dolls like her mom is. Loved this video. Thank you! 😊
Thank you for watching! I've been keeping my eyes peeled lately at thrift stores too, hoping I'll stumble across a few more. I think they are so pretty 😍
You know I have never given much thought to that but you are right. There doesn't seem to be the sort of accessories today that I had with my dolls growing up. I also love the design of the older dolls, so so sweet. Thank you for watching!
I mean with younger kids it sort of makes sense, I imagine most parents wouldn't want to have to deal with washing a bunch of extra, small clothes especially since most children 1-3 years old can be rough and messy and how smaller articles of clothing can get easily lost. But yeah it is kinda sad.
Love the video it's always fun to see older doll lines, They're really pretty I've never heard of them before, love the dresses I'm a sucker for big hair on dolls.💜
Just found a Marybeth at a thrift store today. This video was very helpful. I knew I had seen these dolls somewhere and it was your channel. My Mary Beth needs major work and some clothes, but that's what adds to the fun.
I just found your channel, so new subscriber here 💛 I’m a fellow SC girl and I absolutely LOVE dolls. I just found 2 Hot Looks dolls on eBay! Love your channel!
I like this video. I have never heard of these dolls before and I do like them. I probably won't get any because I don't like bangs. I've passed up many dolls I wanted over the years because they had bangs. Do not like bangs! About those plastic strips holding the hair, I've seen many a doll over the years with those strips. Many, many Barbies in particular and a few other dolls as well. In fact just a few weeks ago, I bought the 32" Lifesize "Moanna" and "Rapunzel" dolls. Both had those plastic strips holding the hair in place. Curious that you've never seen them before. Take Care
Thanks for watching Kevin! And you're right, every single one of these dolls has bangs! Long live the 80's, am I right? Hahahahaha!!! Now that you mention it, I have seen hair held in place with plastic strips before, but these were kind of different to what I'm used to seeing, the way I had to pull them apart. I haven't seen those Moana and Rapunzel dolls yet, I'm off to check them out!
@@MunecasPoupeesDolls: Hi, I got my Moanna & Rapunzel dolls from Target. At the time each one was $50.00, I just checked they're now $60.00 each. I love them, am thinking about getting another one of each! Good luck.
I purchased a Rosemary (blonde crimped hair, purple dress) off of eBay about a month ago--the doll was unopened in box but oddly it did not have the strip of hair across the bangs. The stickers in the top of the box were $27.99, then a sale price of $19.99 from Toys R Us. These dolls can share shoes with Kenner's 1988 Always Sisters Oldest Sister (22 inch) dolls.
@@MunecasPoupeesDollsFun fact! On the 1990 Babysitters Club TV series, Claudia also had a Mary Beth doll in her bedroom! At 7 years old, I loved that my favorite BSC character had the same doll as me.
It was during the 90s. Some examples I can think of are Baywatch Barbie (noticeable when viewed from the right angle), Paint And Dazzle (harder to see because of how the doll is displayed in the box), And Totally Hair (had two strips instead of one).

With today's molded clothes & no accessories, I miss that attention to detail.

I loved mine and still have her. She was at Walmart and I had to have her when I saw she had my name and a locket.
They're so beautiful ❤❤great purchase!
Thank you! I've since been gifted another that a friend found, I think they're so pretty!

I love learning about and seeing older doll lines, that's why I like doing these videos so much. And aren't the dresses soooo cute??
I never had these I was born in 93, but I just looked them up and saw one named Maribeth that had freckles and Hazel eyes 😍 I want some now 🥺
Thank you for these videos, I just got one of these dolls off of Goodwill and had never heard of them before. 💜
Congratulations!! That's a great find 💜

I agree it adds to the fun...there is nothing more satisfying than giving new life to a totally wrecked doll 🥰
They’re so cute!! I have rosemary in the mail can’t wait to get her!💜

Yay!! Welcome 💜💜
I still have my Lindy doll.
That makes them even more special when you have the ones from childhood 🥰
Muñecas, Poupees, and Dolls Definitely! One of my aunts gave her to me for Christmas.
tI learn alot from you videos. Love them!!
They are pretty dolls, look similar size to my Nancy
They are similarly sized to Nancy Famosa if that's the Nancy you're talking about. Thank you for watching!

@@MunecasPoupeesDollsYou are welcome!
I had Mary Beth, but I had no idea that was her name... I called her Ashley. 🤣
LOL! I almost never called dolls by their "real" names either, but that was all the fun, making them your own 😁 thanks for watching 💜

Barbie did plastic strips in 5he hair for a few years.
That's good to know! I didn't remember those 💜

I've never seen these until you...you have such a way with these types of videos! I'd love one...now which to choose?🌟
Awww, thank you my friend! Of the two I got, I like Tyler the best if that helps
