      Thanks.
I'm looking forward to these spots providing greater access for everyone.
Excited to take advantage of Antelope ramp and area again.
I'm also planning to be one of the first "watercraft" to cross from Wahweap to Warm Creek via the Castle Rock Cut 🙌

40 foot increased water level this YTD...great to hear on my favorite all around lake! We rented a houseboat back in 1992 or '93, and the water was rising a foot per day then also. Thanks.

40 ft so far and more to come 🚀. Yearly total (or the year's max rather) is yet to be reached.
      I'll do a follow-up video then

It's been an amazing year. Still more water to come. Will do a follow-up video when the water leaks for the season.

Wow crazy how the lake is up but still not up enough to get to that boat ramp. That is wild to see. What a beautiful location. Thanks for posting this. Being form Dallas, our lakes are not pretty like this. Saw your give away(originally noticed on reddit) and had to donate.

Lake is now up 50 ft (10 more ft) since this video. There's now only 10 more ft to go till Castle Rock Cut has a few inches in it 🙌. So exciting.
Thanks for sharing support for Lake Powell. Good luck on your name being drawn for the prize.
Only a couple days left for people to enter and drawing is on the first day of Summer ⛱️🌞

Hmm. Interesting update on the ramps, eFoil, but I reckon Castle Rock Cut is very much 50/50 for this season. I'll be happy to be proved wrong. As of June 4th, Powell needs another 15 feet rise in elevation to make The Cut navigable for even the smallest of craft.
The topography of Lake Powell has been compared to a Martini glass - ie Y-shaped. As you steadily pour in the liquid the level rises at a lessening rate.
On top of that, Lake Mead has a problem in that it is well behind on its releases downstream for this Water Year. At some point the managers at Glen Canyon Dam will start releasing huge quantities of water down to Mead. Mead has to meet its legal obligation by September 30th.
So the question is, how high will they let Lake Powell rise before starting to send serious amounts of water down to Mead?
Castle Rock Cut is at 3580-ish so, if there's enough water to reach this level, it would seem churlish to not give boaters the benefit of this fuel and time saving route.
IF Powell reaches 3580+ this year, The Cut may be navigable for a few weeks in the holiday season but then Glen Canyon Dam will start releasing water to Mead and Powell will be back to 3540, or less, by next April.
Sir, I have no idea what an eFoil is but I look forward to seeing the video of you either riding or dragging it through the cut at Castle Rock.

      Great feedback and assessment.
I plan to float my eFoil upsidedown, like pushing a fin-less paddleboard through shallow water.
You can see what an eFoil is in my other videos. But in short, it's a fusion of surfing (watersports) and flying. The most amazing feeling of freedom.

@@eFoilLakePowell ... along with motorcycling and skiing. Good luck with the level at CR cut. I'll be checking out more of your vids.

It would be nice if you would do a before and after shot. Or maybe a time lapse.

    • @eFoilLakePowell
      @eFoilLakePowell  Рік тому +1

Time lapse in the works 😉. I've been taking pics in two different spots on average every 2 days to create a time lapse.
I also plan to reshoot this video when water reaches the season climax.
And I'm planning to be one of the first to cross to Warm Creek through the Castle Rock cut using my eFoil. Should make for an exciting fun video

Lets hope someone somewhere is amending choices made to keep it at a respectable level going forward. Understanding how obscenely difficult that must be.
