I just watched a Depeche Mode performance in Italy, from back in 1983, and the middle aged host of the show was so arrogant and snide to them. In comparison, this reception is the picture of homeliness and respect. It is nice to see. I wish the guys from the band were more gracious to those fans that were here, but I understand they are sensitive artist types. Always have been, always will be.

In the end they're all humans and as such, there will be days when you just wanna get to a comfy bed and forget about all. And while it wouldn't kill the band members to sign a few autographs, i feel sorry about someone who idolizes a musician so much that they'll stand hours in the cold for some silly autograph, but that's just me.

I know it is easy for me to say and I know it must be exhausting and sometimes stressful to do many concerts and tours - but I think that if I were a big star / celeb, I would never forget that the fans are the ones who made it possible for me to live a life in luxury. Being on such a massive tour, and travelling nonstop for over a year. It´s allright to set up some rules for the fans. And it´s allright to be tired and not up to stigning autographs. Actually i was surprised that Martin Gore took the time, but i guess he could not say no to a little boy 🤔
Ill be honest it sucked to see Dave walk by but this was in 2017 Dave was in so serious crap in his life at that time, i'm not making excuses but from drug abuse to attempted suicide he is still number 1 in my group list..

They do not make money from actually being famous around the globe and admired by millions which is what causes people to want DM autographs. Also they do not create special emotions for people like DM do. What a stupid comment.
One piece on advice: Never deify a artist, they don't who you are, you're just a fan on the rest. They live in their world or fame created by their fans.
