We have similar hair texture and I just got sisterlocks installed. My sisterlocks consultant said that the 3 point rotation gives you fuller locs. Don’t worry your hair will eventually get fuller. You are beautiful.

I feel like people comment this on every video with a black woman in microlocs 👀.

The shrinkage Journey is the truth. I’ve been micro locked 9 months too and I’m constantly trying pinpoint when it starts growing but I’ve yet to do that lol.

Great video, yes I've experienced the same, the misconceptio of low maintenance ain't no maintenance, and the shrinkage roller coaster is real. Ty

Sis you’re gorgeous. This length looks really good on you. Good luck with your journey! I started my micro locs a few days ago! Patience is a virtue. 💓

Your locs look great😊 I’m excited to get mine done soon. I have high density thick natural hair. Looking forward to the journey 😃

Awesome tips! Especially about the low maintenance not meaning no maintenance.

Facts I did research but still wanted to start my sisterlocks journey after combing out my microlocs asap. I did trim and do a lot of treatments in between along with low manipulation and low but i do wish i had cut a bit more beforehand haha

It’s really good you thought to do treatments though!! I jumped right in and at most deep conditioned beforehand LOL!!

The part about sizing is so true. I wanted that super full look too and locs made me feel like I don't have as much hair as I thought I did. I was going for a microlock/ Sisterlock look, but ended up with some locs that are far too big for my liking. My stylist started mine from two strand twists so I had the opportunity to resize some of them before it was too late, but I didn't. I'm one year in and I love my locs, but that's my biggest regret. I started out with 225 and now I'm down to about the mid 180s because some had to be combined. The mid 250s or 300s is the kind of look that I like. I subscribed to your channel. I can't wait to see more of your journey!

Yes! Locs really are teaching me a lot about volume/density! Thank you so much for watching and supporting. ❤️

I was shocked my texturized locs shrank. Like how?!?!? Lol but a year later I'm loving the fullness and length now.

Your hair journey sounds very similar to mine. I have traditional locs and after 14 months I'm currently taking them down because I want microlocs. Your first tip really helped me because I was emmidiately gonna install microlocs. I think I'm gonna wait a while before I do that because I'm not intending to take them down again. And good luck on your new hair journey.

Your locks look great on you, and they will grow out beautifully! Do you band the ends when you wash your hair?
