I'm a big wwe fan and don't watch aew on regular basis, but the Joe/Swerve Rivalry has got me hooked. I'm so excited.
AEW has 1 Main event title and 3 midcard titles. WWE has 1 main event title and 3 midcard titles as well, they just name one of them World Heavyweight Championship, it's still a midcard title, the next match is literally Damien Priest vs Jey Uso lol

Combining this ppv with my first WWE house show since 2012 this weekend, and it'll be a good weekend of wrasslin! As for my predictions, I'm going with:
Bang Bang Gang (get this feud over with, Billy/Jay is my worst match of the year so far. Babyface Bang Bang Gang had so much potential man...)
House of Black (Malakai doesn't job to the Rated Chicken Hawks brother! In all seriousness, I think Black pins Cope so that match can have some heat to it)
Jericho
Strong
Willow (I can see this being a similar situation to Hayter/Storm from DoN last year with the injury rumours)
Okada (easiest joker of my life, really looking forward to this one)
Young Bucks (Cry Me a River Jack will be returning baby!)
Storm
Ospreay (I can see Danielson winning based on go home math, but I think Danielson will continue to put over the up and coming talent)
Swerve (I think he wins here, then Hangman returns to heat up that feud. You risk jumping the shark if you leave crowning Swerve too long)
Swerve vs Hangman for the title as the main event of Double or Nothing. Exploding Barbed Wire Death Match
My answer to why it’s a Ladder Match… Because it’s the easiest way to have Jack Perry debut as part of the elite without having a DQ or Ref Bump finish, as there isn’t enough “bad blood” between these teams right now to justify a hardcore match
I love the length of AEW PPVs. It's great value for money with quality wrestling as opposed to 20 minute WWE ring entrances.
Wasn’t EC 4 matches and an hour of Australian b-roll this year?
5:06 Oli, House of Black literally held the Trios titles almost as long as The Elite and Death Triangle combined
I will be there this weekend with my son, sister and nephew! I am beyond excited for most of this card but in particular Ospreay v Danielson.
I have already did my wrestleleague predictions, and when I try to change and do the newly added matches those are not there…
Swerve wins, defends until Wembley, loses it to Will when Hangman interferes
Nothing worse than when a sentence doesn't finish the way you think it testicles.....

I would rather have matches than having to sit through tons of adverts. WWE PPV's can be around 3 and a half hours but you only get 2 hours of actual wrestling.
I'm just holding out hope that Hayter returns after the womens championship match, she's been sorely missed in the womens division.
The ad breaks make PLEs unwatchable. I'd rather have more matches than Ads.

Nah, Samoe Joe is the big heel coming into UK show, Will is the baby face, it writes itself and Joe deserves that too
Ospreay gets the big hometown Hero win against Joe at All In. In the months that follow Ospreay has banger defenses, Swerve builds Himself back up, Okada and Jay White build themselves to the main title picture. Worlds End main event Ospreay vs Okada vs Jay White vs Swerve. Swerve finally fulfills his quest to become champion in 2024. Next year Jay and Swerve feud over the title. Ospreay and Okada move into a singles feud but with the roles reversed from their NJPW feud

I think Danielson wins when the Don Callis family try to interfere but Ospreay demands he doesn't want to win like that and gets pissed they interfered in his dream match, leading to a running knee and passing out in the lebell lock.

I think Danielson winning clean, Ospreay paying respect, triggering the Callis family beatdown can set up either AITA or Stadium Stampede for DoN or Blood N Guts. Then we get Ospreay vs Danielson at WrestleDream in Tacoma, Washington in a Title vs Career match???

You don't have to watch the pre-show. It's like saying the World Cup final is 5 hours because some channel do a 2 hour pre-match show. It's not part of the show, I rarely ever watch the pre-shows, it's nice for the people who are already at the arena or waiting for it to start at home when watching live. If it's too long, just skip through it or don't watch
I keep hearing them say Mercedes vs Julia, and then say to myself "But she's going to NXT". (Giulia rules) Willow should win that match though, then setup Willow vs Mercedes
The added Zero Hour matches are Baretta vs Sydel and OC & Shibata vs Taylor & Moriarty. Sadly for STP they are taking the L and so is Sidel.

I haven’t kept up with AEW much lately can someone fill me in why the tag belts were vacated? I watch the podcast reviews and for the life of me cannot remember how we got to FTR v Bucks
Sting and Darby had the straps but Stung retired so the belts were held up. FTR and the Bucks are un the finals of a tournament to be crowned new champs

Because it's his job to consume the content. I agree with Oli though. 5.5 hours of wrestling is too much for one PPV. Can kill the crowd by the time some of the other matches roll around.

Luke: AEW DUCK DYNASTY PREDICTIONS! Oli apparently didn't listen to the AEW Media call (or this segment was shot before that call). The Trios titles will be merged into the Undisputed Trios Champions. It's weird, but they just talked me into wanting a new faction called "The Jericho Vortex", consisting of Jericho, Hook, Sammy Guevara, Daddy Magic, and possibly Jake Hager. If it's called the Learning Tree - HARD PASS. I also loved Luke calling out that Oli is listening too much to Bryan Alvarez, instead of watching the AEW shows himself!
The Bucks should pull a Bossman and have someone (Jack Perry) raise the titles up so FTR cant reach them
10+ matches on ppv while wwe is pulling out great 3 hour shows with like 4-5 matches. Aew has great matches on tv, so just having a great match on ppv isnt enough for me personally to make ppvs sooooo long.
Jericho is winning the FTW championship and forming Team Jericho.
I'm now picturing Bryan Danielson showing up to creative meetings wearing a plain white t-shirt that just has "JAY WHITE PINS BILLY GUNN" crudely written across it in pen.
I miss the live reactions but understand the reality of doing them on a Sunday in the UK.
Oli might need a Twitter break, he's ascribing mistakes that AEW aren't even making to them...and there are plenty of real mistakes to highlight.

Its a typical AEW ppv the matches are gonna be great but outside of Swerve/Joe there's little to no build for these matches and it just feels a bit underwhelming because there's no much to get invested into. Probably gonna be a great show tho

Honestly, even if it's only for a couple of months, let Swerve hold it until he drops it to Ospreay. He will probably never get another chance.

What I would do is have Joe beat Swerve due to Hangman's interference, Danielson beating Osprey because on any given day Danielson can still beat anybody and then Danielson beats Joe at some point and uou have danielson vs osprey at Wembley for all the marbles. The lineage of the AEW belt needs danielsons name on it before he retires.

I liked Gunn vs White as a one off. Not as an ongoing narrative in matches but the one time was just fun.
That is my worst match of the year so far tbh, but it's cool you enjoyed it

The smartest thing AEW can do is make Ospreay a full blown heel. Make him a major main event heel and be about the only guy with Don Callis. Turn Hobbs face, forget the rest… then when MJF returns, he gets a huge babyface run. Forget the stupid Devil (flop) storyline.
Why in God's name would you turn your most popular babyface into a heel?
im only going to watch the women matches, especially Storm VS Rose where i think Storm wins to build to a triple threat w/ Deonna for the title...lame builds to most men matches & too many matches in general
I’m not sure if AEW is right for me anymore at least for now, I have no interest as swerve as champion and I have no interest in Will as champion, I’d much rather have Moxley win it again or give it to Danielson, but I really like Joe as champion

Doubt it, they just made new ROH belts. A unification of the title does not mean the belts are turned into one automatically, belt =/= title. Just like Roman ran around with 2 belts for a long time

Jericho has given a ton of talent exposure, no one wants to admit that, so Im glad he finally did. Everyone says oh Jericho meh, but look at the rub hes given to all his opponents & tag partners! Sooo many names we never knew much about, given a spotlight on National TV! Guess its how you look at it, if you're pessimistic, you say your tired of Jericho, if youre a positive person, you see the positives from it & hes really given back, but fits perfectly with his character's huge ego! Idc, Jericho will always be top 10! Best thing on Nitro for over a year, best thing on WWE( only thing worth watching tbh) in 16-18, with Jericho/KO.. haters gonna hate tho

Oli was right about Battle Of The Belts X. Roddy v Rocky was an eliminator match for some reason. Though the FTW belt was defended so it’s semantics
So Im fine with AEW right now like they are in a stable place I believe...But man, they need heavy hitters....Omega, Mox , Hangman and MJF....Those 4 to me, when they are actively on AEW TV and being champions, they carry it....Right now, it feels kinda bland IMO...and I dont see a point in buying this show...The only match I really care about is Osprey vs Danielson which Im sure is gonna be a 5 star match lol

The PPVs are for people who want to watch a lot of wrestling, they are also not designed to be watched starting from 12am like we do in the UK, the complaining about ppv length is starting to get tedious, at least consider that it maybe isn't targeted for you, rather than outright labelling it as a negative, when that's only the case for a select few people
