As a Zenyatta player this speaks all too true I even hate it when people will moan "your a terrible support" and its like some guy who had no objective time and tons of elimations and deaths and even worse when the support does all the work and doesnt even get a vote at the end of the game.

As a Zenyatta player, I've never seen such a perfect representation of what I go through every time.
Hollywood; we're crushing the enemy, but somehow aren't making checkpoints. I move up to the front line, only to see that I'm the only one next to the car and 5 people are a full checkpoint in front, trying to spawnkill the other team.
Oh yes, we lost that one. Everyone blames the healer.
I don't, usually, but I wish I could ask forgiveness for a couple times I didn't realize we had one or what he/she was doing and said something like "We need a healer!" or "We need a better healer!" meaning a different hero...

Well, there is an easy solution to this...
*EXPERIENCE TRANQUILITY*
but such is t he pain of all zen mains. we must babysit the payload and meditate to keep our calm because our team rarely understands that getting the payload to the end will achieve our victory, but no, instead they all decide to flank and demand that we both heal them while also pushing the payload, occasionally you'll actually get teammates who will stand with you and ask to be healed (which is fine because they are actually standing on the payload)
As a Zenyatta main, this is literally me at every payload gamemode. My teammates never focus on the payload and we always *LOSE*

This is just too accurate. Usually I'm the only one on the payload with Mei or Zarya, everyone else ignores the objective and runs off. I wish the play of the game wasn't just kills and revives, but something useful for their team. That would provoke less motivation for kills.
Well, plays of the game where you're just sitting next to the payload aren't great either

***** Notice how most POTGs you see are by an offensive character that's a mile away from their team and sometimes objective. I respect Mercy players because I know what they have to deal with, 80% of the time nobody defends supports and they get the blame when a team loses.
Actually, Play of the Game can also be determined by ultimate shutdowns and teammate saves and also give you a better chance of getting play of the game.

Remainds me of one of the first ranking matches I played... Overtime and the only one on the payload was Reinhardt. He saw enemy Tracer and started to chase her. We lost because of him...

+Smarticus Panticous All others were dead both from our team and the enemy. He and tracer were only ones alive. Our team was already on the way, if he could stay on it for few seconds more and not chase a kill that he wasn't able to catch anyway, we would have all be on the payload and possibly win. We did lost because of him, hands down.
To be fair, staying on the payload as Reinhardt with a Tracer attacking you is still going to end in you leaving the payload (via death) unless the Tracer is terrible.

Who ever sits on the payload or point the longest should get some sort of XP bonus or something
they do. if you get objective time bronze, silver or gold you get different xp bonus at the end on the game. although the bonus isn't much, it's there. you do get more exp for better/best performance in your team :)

The story of overwatch is about saving humanity. I don't know how the fuck are they saving anything with fighting together

Actually volskya industries, one team is trying to protect the Evil Omnic robot factory that makes the massive deathbots on the edge of the map, and the other is trying to destroy it. The maps that make the least sense are king of the hill, capture point and payload usually have decent explanations
The game Overwatch is separate from the story. Think of Batman Arkham games. If you jump to your death or run out of time as Batman, it doesn't mean Batman is dead or Batman lost. The official canon is dictated by the published stories. In this case Animated Shorts and Comics. These are just video games, they're built to be fun. With Overwatch I believe Blizzard built a compelling story to get people invested in the characters, to make them want all the legendary skins and cosmetics. It's a business decision, but it's still a great story and game, in my opinion.
Also Overwatch the organization was pretty morally grey towards the end of it's operation. Look at it's two ex-leaders, both out for blood and taking out anyone in their way to kill each other. But it's also open to interpretation, which is the fun of it.

one time i was reinhardt and we were trying to stop the payload. the enemy had gotten the payload really fucking close to the finish when we managed to beat them back. then everybody moved ahead to guard a doorway i look back at the payload and there's a fucking hanzo about to win (there were about 3 seconds left btw) i managed to kill him inches away from the goal. i fucking saved that game and nobody knew about it. we almost lost because no one was looking at the payload and instead trying to get some last minute kills.
I get the fun in killing an opponent but it kinda defies the point if you lose for that kill, people are jerks like that dood.

GamingAdam I think the only good teams are actual friends and even then I have had some pretty bad times when they up and leave you for a kill when they should be pushing for the objective to reset the overtime counter dood.

Tracer can flank while the rest move the payload. That's her job (Unless they're all dead, then get on it.) As for why people like Soldier are, my pain is felt.

Zen has always been my healer main, through thick and (very) thin. I love those times, when you're all alone, and you put your charged shots into a flanker's head. Those are the only times I teabag. Especially Mei.
