Thanks for your video. Once I figured out the back plate glued to the pad, I took a smooth chisel to get the glue separated from the brake pad. Once I did this it was a breeze. I will tackle the rotors this summer. I have a 2010 Boxster. Bought for wife, but... LOL.
why you needed to replace Rotors ?? it was not enough to replace pad only?? Rotors normally looks nice. why does need to be replaced?? what happen only replace brake pads without rotors replacement?? thanks for sharing good videos~!
My rotors we’re almost at the minimum thickness and because this is a track car I replaced them. You need new or machined rotors when replacing pads so you get a good layer of new pad material on the rotor for better bedding in and braking.
@@Wowwow-wl3kx it is usually engraved along the edge of the rotor (where the open slots are. But if you are asking then you should probably just replace them because they aren't expensive and will go with the new pads without machining your old ones.
Thank you for an informative video, the rotors are from which manufacturer? I’m thinking of changing my stock 986 rotors for something more high performance and have been told cross drilled have rusting issues. Those discs look like a nice compromise. Thanks in advance
Great video of your hary elbow
Be thankful that of all my hairy body parts, only my elbow was featured in this video. You need to subscribe for the others
