This is the greatest advance in the automobile aftermarket lighting, since after LED was invented. Still rare in HIGH-END
cars like BMW and Rolls Royce.Laser light Penetrate long distance, Brighter than LED, Aftermarket has never seen like this before. I have done my best to hunt the night with this laser light for the first time.Spent a lot of money, time and effort on this LASER HEADLIGHT and the RESULT is OUTSTANDING.
Next to my Morimoto HID (XENON) projector Headlight this is my second project on projector headlight.
HID or XENON projectors are 20% to 30% brighter than this laser led headlights.
But this LASER LED headlight too have some ADVANTAGES over HID(XENON) like instant ON, WIDE BEAM PATTERN, LONGER light throw,
GREATER viewing ANGLE in HIGH BEAM.
This LASER with LED light out performs plug and play LED BULBS like H4, H3, H1 etc in reflector headlight.
Technical aspects are covered in the previous video, So Performance details are explained below in this description.
First task is RETROFITTING, It is not a easy task if you are novice, You may need a extra pair of headlight as it get broke or
damage while retrofitting. There is a short list of tools and parts needed before starting this project. they are available
only on ONLINE.
Second task is WIRING. This is the first projector i have seen with TWO drivers (Ballast) yes TWO, On the table, wiring is a
easy task, but when fixing on the car you need lot of space behind the Headlight, You have to house Two drivers and their wiring.
The LOW beam wiring is simple, for HIGH BEAM the positive and negative has to be split in to TWO from the power source, one
for LASER and one for LED.We have to make our own split wire,it dose not come in the BOX. The Y shape YELLOW and BLACK
split-ted wire is show at 3:50
The Extra lengthy wiring and Switches are used to test the lights performance individually during the test drive, else they are
not needed.
Aligning the projector in the headlight is a BIG task if aligned properly on the reflector itself,Final aligning on the car is
a simple task.
Pros (+ positive) about this laser led headlight
LASER light travel longer than LED
LOW BEAM is GOOD with wide spread Light pattern, NO dark spots.
HIGH BEAM angle is perfect and has a LONGER THROW.
Performance of LASER with LED in HIGH BEAM is OUT STANDING better than Halogen
Day light visibility is GOOD.
Better than Plug and Play LED bulbs,
Cons (- Negative) about this LASER LED Headlight
Retrofitting is a tough job (All projector retrofitting are)
TWO DRIVERS (Ballast) is mess when wiring
Need extra kits like Screws, wiring to complete the installation which do not come with box
Driving with ONLY LASER light is not possible due to the pencil beam pattern and yellow color light.
My CONCLUSION after Test driving with this laser led projector for nearly 500 kilometers.
The projector outputs Brighter LIGHT, LIGHTS UP WIDE area, VERY GOOD visibility in HIGH BEAM. LASER light guides to look further where LED unable to travel.
The cost is very very HIGH nearly twice of HID, if the price drops to half it is worth trying.
NOTE : BMW & Rolls Royce both LOW beam and High Beam lights are produced by LASER, But cost a FORTUNE.
Thank you for watching & READING the description
Have a Great Day...
Drive Safe & Peace...
i like that there are a lot of car enthusiast that are going to the whole expense in money and time to try something different and then had the guts to share with the rest of us regardless of the results or the opinions, i applaud your initiative and keep us posted with more projects. 👏
If you thought people having there high beams on at night was bad, then your going to love this!
Such A good driver!
I need to get my strobe light out to show him thanks!
😁😁😁😁
1:00 due to lack of prying tools, knife and screw drivers are used. 1:05 ... has $1000 flir infrared camera :/
Good presence of mind, Forget to buy those tools at that time, Thank you for the INVOLVEMENT and INTEREST...
you can haf FLIR Camera at CAT smartphone for 500 ^^
When he showed himself hacking up that headlight and prying it with all the wrong tools I was cringing 100%. Serioiusly...homie has IR camera that's hella expensive...LED + Laser conversion that cost a ton...but no proper plastic pry tools that cost $8. Pro tip: If you need a tool to do something properly, buy the damn thing and USE it. Don't hack things up with the wrong tools and equipment and make something look like a 13 year old did the install using his pocket knife...sheesh!
I also cringed when I saw he bought LHD projectors for a RHD car on RHD roads...yuck.
Then he had all sorts of smudges and crap INSIDE the sealed headlights after the retrofit. He was peeling plastic off like it was going to be crystal clear and it was making me turn green lol...ugh.
How cobbled together the wiring is was also gross. When I see $1k+ "upgrades" like this, I expect to see a proper wire harness tucked away and neat, not 100 crimp connectors and wires all visible when you pop the hood or open the car door.
Also, your dang car has worn out suspension dude...what's the point in having any sort of cutoff on the headlights when they are bouncing up and down and blinding everyone because of it? Buy some struts/shocks, replace them, and check your bushings.
Why....just WHY!!!
@@wheelklub Man, if you can afford a $1000 FLIR camera and a spectrum analyzer, you can afford good quality bloody prying tools; get your priorities straight. Also using LHD cutoffs in a RHD country along with 'switches to 'activate' low, high and laser beams is a fucking stupid idea. Rethink your channel. No one wants to see this dodgy shit.
I’ve worked with lasers for more then 2ndecades and can tell you the diodes used on these aftermarket kits are not ideal to have them on extended periods of time. They are going to blow out on people I’ll say a week or 2 after they get them. If you thought LED’s got hot you have no idea how hot these are going to get. The diodes are very delicate and not meant for driving over bumps. Buy them at your own risk. Stick with HID’s or a good quality LED. Lasers are meant to focus the beam and for very short periods at a time. Not on for 2 hours in traffic. But at least you get to say you have laser headlights on your 93 Honda Civic.
“Freezing the frame to compare”... dude we get it.
you installed right hand side lights on left hand side car and blinding all opposite drivers. Congrats.
Marian Mikus I was gonna say the same thing lol
He drives on the opposite side of the road - original comment
Reread it again makes sense lol
Marian Mikus his driver side actually at left side if he at right side ur comments make sense
Marian Mikus but seems like 1way road was left so actually his lens should be like what u said 😂
It ain't gonna blind nobody stop talking nonesense
Highly appreciate do the testing. Its very nice review and its awesome job. If i can give a score, it will be a 100. Excellent.
aesthetics of the projector casing leaves a lot to be desired. it is fine at night but imho during the daytime this looks like an eyesore inside the headlight. maybe in 2~5 years we will see a wider variety of shapes and designs. thanks for sharing!
I imagine how my eyeballs burn out when you come my way. 🔥🔥
Time and effort put in making this video and reviewing the product is highly appreciated. Great work !!!!
@ Sharath Babu , Glad you liked the video, Thank you!
Sharath Babu they make these videos for people who not concerned about others safety ...these selfish kind people appreciate the video ...and the shamless ones who make the vedio take the appreciation
@@wheelklub how can i get the same lenses that you use
I will wait for Laser 3.0 before embarking on this project. They will be smaller and more reliable-hopefully. Nice video.
Looks really good. I like the focal points, seems Lito be a better focal point. Can’t wait for them to be coming out as a whole piece and not having to do all that work you did to get them in.
Im still using my reliable hid lamps 8 yrs now never had problems all of my 6 hids in my vehicle still works fine. Leds would melt if ur cooling fans starts to have problems. Hope they can make a laser lamp with wide angles not just on focus
This is a lot of work !!!! applaud you for all the hard work!!!
Hi Rodrigo Mafra,
Glad You Like the video, Thank you for your appreciation. Have a Great Day..
now this is what i call professional video. great hard work
Thank you @honestreviewtube, Have a Great Day..
They're bright.
They're clunky.
They'll blind oncoming traffic when used in RHD cars.
Don't buy.
Saved you 30min of your life.
of course there going to blind other cars there fucking high beams there a reason why he switch to the cut off projectors like at 11:52. use you fucking brain kid.
@@phalanx3803 These cut off projectors are for a LHD car driving on the right side of the road, he's in a RHD car driving on the left side of the road so he *IS* blinding other oncoming drivers, who's the fuckwit now?
great for those looking to get into a head-on collision
amazing work, nice review, this projector is insanely amazing
Hi @Sony thank you for the credit, Yes it is a amazing led projector, But its pricey for now, it will come down in time,
@@wheelklub surely, i currently using koito's bi-led projector, and this one seems brighter, maybe brightest at the moment
dont know, but this is a good video. it shows much other light ides. than other headlight videos out there. i like this
woooh . what a effort . best headlight review ever
Thanks a ton!, Glad you Liked it
Nice work with retrofit and explanation. I doubt if Traffic police ever accept such beams now that they are roaming around with Lux Devices all over to catch and sieze.
Very nice throw.
AMAZING job you did but all I can say is.... You REALLY wanted lasers didn't you? That's a major effort 👍👍
Nice work this projector are awesome....!!
I must appreciate your effort and money you spend!!! Great job done!!! Wish to have in my car as well one day!!!
Glad You like the video, Thank You.
thanks for the info.
You are welcome PBS...
Reminds me of my Marchell Ampilux I had back in the late 1970s. Nothing compared to them until now....
I think a better implementation of laser lights would be in the fog lights as they are lower than the field of view of oncoming traffic and would let us see the roads better during foggy weather
This is what I’m planning to do
Nice. I have hid headlamps and led highbeams and i have to xdmit the light width and side coverage of the laser headlamps is beautiful.
Hi Jeff, Yes the low beam is very wide, very helpful white turning.
Thank you very much
You are welcome
So the purpose of this is to not be able to see the sides like a deer approaching and blind oncoming drivers? Got it.
No. The purpose of these is to have a spotlight into the distance. The regular high-beams take good care of the sides. In order not to blind oncoming drivers, there is a thing call low-beams. Educate Yourself!
You're stupid.
... and illegal as f#@ck .... so the whole exercise is only a proof of concept of sorts.
@@valchanovgeorgi I don't think you understand what he was talking about... He knows the difference, don't be condescending. What he's getting at, is that during most of the demonstrations early on, he ONLY has the highbeams on. When most vehicles have both the low AND the high on. But from how this video is made, its easy to come to a conclusion that, as demonstrated in the video: When high beams come on, low beams go off. Hence why he said that you can't see deer and such. His 'blinding' aspect was because this idiot installed US style headlights in a EU style car... as in, he drives on the left side of the road, which now blinds every person he drives by, because the projectors light is 'lifted' on the right hand side...
These would work as situational fog/spotlights. Otherwise their inferior to LED/HID setups
Sooo plug and play?
Deo 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
best headlight review ever
Nice👍 looks good. You car engine is brilliant👍
Hi Mantas X, Glad You like the video, Have a Great Day..
The beam pattern suck not worth the time and money
Them beam pattern can be adjusted by how far in the bulb is in the projector and at what angle...just needs some fine tuning...
Paint the reflectors black, to avoid light leaks
In my opinion - good LED H4 lamp (60$ for a pair) + BMW 7 series g11/g12 fog lights (200$ for a pair) make an easier and cheaper solution. Moreover, those fog lights make very wide and distant light field starrting at the bumper.
I think it is a great video on Laser headlight.
Awesome. Something really new to be seen...thnx team
Thank you Nitish Kumar and Wishing you a Happy , Healthy & Prosperous New Year 2019
This is Some amazing work
Thank you Corey Taylor..Glad you liked the video.
You are the man! Really nifty tech there. It will only get better with time. Sooner or later it'll look like normal LED bulbs or should we call it a so-called hybrid bulb.
It is the bad light cut-off pattern that will blind on-comming traffic, not the brightness.
The kit seem to have nice cut off, but this one is design for LHD (Left hand drive)
Wow, this is some real bush-week engineering.
Nice work & very nice car 👍👍👍
Waiting on the laser part, just looks like a cheap HID retrofit to me
The beam pattern is so isn't very sharp or wide and bows a great deal. With some tuning that thing could be super sick... Not as sick as cbi or night breaker Lazers in morimotos but they'll turn heads... Plus those bulbs will probably never need to be replaced.
Tune the cut off shield.
are the night breaker lasers actually lasers though? Fairly sure you can't turn halogens into lasers.
I think it's mostly just marketing tbh
Nice job
Thank you Genesssisss...
I appreciate anyone that actually does something cool to their ride themselves .... thanks for the video !!
Super...coool
Nice illumination for road but it seems clearly it will flash the drivers in front of you.
There seems to be a lot of jealous people here, this chap obviously likes doing DIY jobs himself and I respect that, because so do I. That said its a lot of work and effort.. When you can get same effect from hid kit. And there is no way these are road legal. But I liked the video good job.
BATTESCARES75 Really you Understand What like to explain Thank You, Most of the user thought that i made this or promoting this product, But No, I like to explain my best how this product performs, So that it may help others before buying, Thank you again for your support.. Have a Great Day..
to be honest this is a very well put together kit. The beam pattern is well defined in low beams. That said.... you have a left hand drive unit instead of a right hand one, you are actually blinding people who sit in a low car. High beams on the other hand look similar to the stock halogen in my 1992 sentra.
Finally someone who knows what he's talking in the comment thread!. I used to be infuriated with ODM automotive lighting engineers for assuming people to be too dumb to properly use their headlights but I am seeing first hand just how ill informed most are in this comment section. That said the laser high beams on this aftermarket knock off is far far inferior than the original BMW units this is based off. This almost like 1/3rd of what the genuine is capable of.
how to blind others on the road 1 0 1
he is asshole, normal driver is not giving this bullshit on the car.
If its adjusted its less likely to blind on coming traffic then it is with regular hologens
Hate how people just assume because its bright that your gunna blind peopld
These will create less glare than a halogen setup.
I agree. Probably ignorant driver who just want the brightest light on the road to blind other drivers.
Seems the demonstrator vehicle needs suspension work , either struts , springs or shocks. Lots of bounce that the other vehicles did not exhibit
Woah this is cool
The low beam is aimed down to the ground so far haha. I woulda had the low beam be up at least a bit more so it’ll stretch the entire road as far as the beam can go.
show us how it goes in heavy rain day and night.
In my opinion the LEDs were sufficient enough
Yes, if you want to fry the retinas of hgv drivers and other people who use the roads often leds will suffice, if you want to be a 110 percent asshole fit laser headlights to your car, the world has lost it's fucking mind.
These are meant to be more power efficient. I'm hoping they work on the flood ability of lasers more.
@@mmtot the problem isn't the LED's it's stupid drivers and manufacturers who can't aim a headlight to save their life.
DynamiteDupree the aim is only a small percentage of the issue, pulse modulated light with too much luminosity and too high a blue shift spectrum is the issue. LED is a form of soft kill and their are dozens of others.
i think in High mode. is very small wide. need some more a little beside light.
Where did you buy the laser projecter/bulb?
Would love to install these an a 7in or 5.75 round bulb
Have both DOT HID and LED versions and would love to compare
no doubt laser light results are awesome, specially low beam spread is too good and wide, however high beam is great with led high beam...what you say...
excellent video, keep it up.
azhar
While technically impressive (and this *is* impressive), all it ended up being is a novelty which proves exactly _why_ lasers are not a good choice for illumination.
Decent install, does the job however it doesn't look that good without the shroud. It looks very incomplete
Interesting...
yeah that's correct aligning the lights is pretty important or the opposite traffic go blinds and drive into the berm but why not use cars light switch
You blinded me with science, But still cool...
Yes you are correct, if not used properly it may blind...
I would use them for fog lights perhaps.
gotta love all the trolls on the interwebs. Dont sweat it man great video. THANK YOU. I kinda agree with some of them though. $1000 for the lasers is ridiculous, but I really like the long throw. I have 8 LASFIT 6k/3k switchback LED headlights on my VW Golf, and in my setup I could easily replace a set of LED with long-throw lasers, but not until the price reflects the benefit. Cant wait til these improve and are mass produced.
@ArmedunDangerous, Hats-off for your support, Yes the price vs performance do not match here. In few months it will come down.
A lot of good work and then THAT wiring... bloody hell mate. That need tidying up somewhat.
The wiring mess in side the cabin and engine is for demonstration purpose to work laser and Led seperately, the installation is not yet completed. Removing the extra wires make it clean , Glad you liked the video.
Kindly revierw after market BI LED(low/high) projectors.
sure very soon will post a bi-led projector, Will update you. Have a Great Day..
Blereng gaeees ! Nek nan gonaku wes diuncali watu . Cuk dianjuuuk 😁
Bonjour,
Peut on les connecter à la commande des feux d'origine
laser high beam so bright you cant even see the gap between them form an elevated height. thats going to really help on coming traffic.
$1,800 for the pair on AliExpress?? Decent low beam but the laser is entirely on the quality of the projector. Good vid.
The music in this video epic !
Glad You liked it, Have a Great Day..
Step one destry headlight with flat head. step two make headlights sound like jet taking off. idk whats going on, seem like you have 5 light patterns lol - nice work
wow... test ho to esa
Thank You and CHEERS...
I hope to god it comes with instructions to adjust the beam.
Hi, where did you buy it from? i wasn't able to find link in first video description either!?
What soft you used on iPad to measure lux? Lumu?
First, thanks for the effort.
BUT, and there's a big BUT, they are crap. I mean, the BMW ones (and BMW do not create the Low/Highbeam entirely with laser, only the "Ultra far throw" is in Laser.
I would prefer Hella BiXenon or the EvoX-R Xenon reflektors, or a Hella "Bi-LED" module. Because then you get OEM quality, proper calculated throw pattern and the thermal calculations are right.
Also don't use or at least adapt the H4 Car to H7, because with H4 the Lowbeams go out, because the High beams are calculated to take over the function. I've had an H4 car, awful headlights.
Everytime I think it would be nice to replace my retrofitted BiXenon headlights the fans an heatsinks required to make LEDs or now laser bulbs work just make me think it won't be reliable in the long run. I have had Phillips ds2 35w bulbs for over 4 years now and they still look great. Just had to replace a failed ballast but they were cheap eBay ballasts I bought for $40 ish. The project's I have are TRS and have a very nice pattern and cutoff line. The 2700k bulbs are pretty close to pure white. The purple blue cutoff line is pretty cool too.
Any future vehicle I get if I retrofit I will just stick with HIDs. Tried and true reliable and provide more than enough light on dark roads. Way better than the incandescent projector I pulled out were.
I have a H4 car, I tapped the DRL for low beam for my bi led projector.
And the high beam from the H4 to activate solenoid.
Works fine other than not being able to flash high beam without turning light on first.
very good video
Glad you like the video, Have a Great Day..
Why not use the original headlight wiring with relays? Would have been much easier
iLikeCookiezToo why when you can make a longer video and waste more time
@@musicanoofficial7233 Well apparently it is the trend these days...
Yup, I want everything to work as if it where stock.
it was a test i seen another comment ask the same thing and the guy said that its now wired in to the car properly.
A small request to u bhai pls make a small video on Suzuki gixxer how we use on it
HID still rules...else high end LEDs, anyway nice vid ...very detail
Hi Malaya Choudhary, Glad You liked the video, Yes still now HID RULES there is no doubt in that, Led's are getting better day by day, but still now not yet perfect.

Have fun on yearly car review with headlights without homologation ;)
barish me asli test hota hai, i had installed xenon too bright beam spillage also not good for oncomers, reverted back to original halogen, almost nothing visible in the daylight-white of xenon, in medium to heavy rain, already everything is dark made by water.
It needs a separates switches? What about original switch? Does it works with the original car swith?
🤔
that was probably only temporary for testing.
Please help, what is the purpose of Laser lights as headlights for cars?
BTW you have really nice and bright led lights.
which brand is best for led headlight?
Like for the effort. Keep it up man
You should have spray painted the chrome reflector flat black, it would have helped with light reflecting from the sides. Otherwise great build.
Great Idea, Yes it will control the extra lights, I forget that, Thanks for the TIPS @Robert Raw, Will apply in next project..
On everything together i am waiting for that ☹️ low beam high beam laser beam on everything
Yes it is available, (every thing by laser, Laser LOW beam, Laser High Beam) Available in Latest BMW 7 Series. It should cost around $5000+
Really had high expectations from the 'laser' tag but its totally worthless in real world.
Though, kudos for doing the retrofit and documentation.
Clicked like for your passion and not for this crap projector. (crap, just because for the price you paid, its simply crap)

How is maniac headlight!??? Really fantastic :D
Quero um para o Fiat Idea 2014 Flex 1.4 ?
Is there really any benefit with these over a nice Morimoto Bi-Xenon projection kit with HIDs? You wouldn’t have needed to cut out the back of the reflector for Bi-Xenon projectors to fit... Personally I wouldn’t do this because this is such a new DIY retrofit technology.
Like this Led headlights trend crap wasn't enough on the eyes now this !
